That is all it took to change his "irreversible" decision? A half arsed attempt by Perez to calm down the situation?
He really is spineless.
He really is spineless.
Sorry to tell you the bad news but CR7 is a united legend. He was one of the main reasons we won the CL and multiple league titles. One of the few ballon dor winner's we have ever had at the club. He was the best player in the world when we won the league and CL. He didn't once mention Man United in this saga, stop throwing the toys out of the pram because he's not coming. You should show Ronaldo some respect, viva Ronaldo!Sorry for the bad words, but it surprises me everytime how a lot of our fans are sucked up to CR7 and are bashing Wazza. You´re saying CR7 is a Utd. legend? He simply isn´t, he went at his peak to this plastic club.
What has he done for us? Our team was fecking excellent in the past, it was not Ronnie alone, who won us the stuff. Wazza had done much more for us in his 12 years here, give him some respect. Don´t be like this white plastic mess, please. I know Wazza is bad now, so he should leave or come from the bench, but do not forget what he has done for this club. Show some respect.
CR7 on the other hand used us many times for better contracts at Real and said he was treated like a slave here. So why are you protecting a Real player so much? Can´t understand this, he has no connection to Utd., he has one to SAF, who is like a dad to him. SAF is no longer the coach, so he won´t come back. Maybe when he is older and wants to get a little bit more money.
Move on guys, Ronnie is past and no longer part of our story. We should support our players not this plastic guy, who is an excellent player though...

*Cancels shirt orders*
*to the Lewandowski thread *
It's just a Real diva acting like all the other Real divas. Everything is a massive crisis. One minute you've made an irreversible decision the next minute you're changing your mind.
Doesn't reflect well on him. His people can name United all they want, I doubt we really bothered.
Thanks for this. Needs to be said. Rooney is much more of a united legend than Cristiano ever will be.Sorry for the bad words, but it surprises me everytime how a lot of our fans are sucked up to CR7 and are bashing Wazza. Funny you mention the Ronaldo Movie. Rooney's BBC documentary had little (or no) mention of Manchester United.C´mon, I know he was excellent for us, but it is getting on my nerves that every year I have to read about him in a !Manchester! forum. Our complete team was insanely good at this time, not only because of CR7. Why did we play those CL finals withouth him, after he left? Don´t want to deny, that he was important for us, but he is not a Utd. legend, he is a Real one. Look at his movie, how many minutes did he show Utd? Nearly nothing about us in it, you know why? Because he feels like a Madrid legend and not a Utd. one. And he is right with that, he gave his best years to this white plastic club. We have our legends in Scholes, Giggs and yes even Wazza, so move on. Ronnie is past, we should look forward. It is so awkward when our fans are singing his name nowadays and are booing our current players, hate that so much.
I respect him as a player, he is excellent. 5th ballon next year for sure and deserved. But he is a whiny little man with a huge attention deficit syndrome.

no, its what I think.
I dont like how he acts outside of football.
he comes across as petulant, self obsessed, selfish.
but perhaps he comes across differently to you.
I think he's a diva on and off the pitch. Self obsessed but with the capacity for great generosity and selflessness.I think you have him confused. He is often petulant on the pitch. Off it, he donates money, time and even blood regularly. I have him down as the exact opposite. A diva on the pitch, but a guy who gives back in his personal life.

Depends what you consider makes a player a "legend."
Yes, Rooney made more appearances / scored more over a prolonged period, but with every passing week his "legacy" diminishes. For me, Ronaldo has been a far better player for us, and Rooney was second fiddle to him when they were in the same side.
It sucked that Ronaldo left us for Madrid, but even with that, I think he will be far better remembered, irrespective of Rooney being our all-time top scorer.
None of them are "craving" to play for this club.He is a whiny and greedy little kid, who used us again to get more money like he has done before. He is past, look forward. Sign Morata, Auba, Mbappe or somone else who is craving to play for this club. Ronnie is a waste of time for Utd.
I think Morata comes closest but youre right, would be a stretch to describe it as craving (from what you can tell from the outside looking in.) At least Morata has apparently expressed a desire to come here.None of them are "craving" to play for this club.

Thats because he wants to start as striker next season and we are the only ones willing to offer him that opportunity.I think Morata comes closest but youre right, would be a stretch to describe it as craving (from what you can tell from the outside looking in.) Its as good as we're likely to get these days.Thats because he wants to start as striker next season and we are the only ones willing to offer him that opportunity.

Literally every big club can afford him - the likes of City, Chelsea, PSG, Bayern, United, Barca can all afford the asking price. The thing is they all have better options ATM except United. Thats the reason not the asking price.Plenty of clubs would love to have Morata as their main striker, but not many can afford him.

Well he isnt going to go play for Leicester now is he? He will definitely want to go a top club who can offer him Champions League football and that really diminishes the teams who he wants to move to.Well, if we're only talking about the top 7 clubs in the world, then yeah.
AgreeMany fans got sucked into the idea that it made a lot of sense for Madrid to sell Ronaldo because he's 32. Madrid may be a circus (whatever that means) but they prefer to win tropheys than to have a lot of money in the bank. And having Ronaldo makes them favourites for the big tropheys, including a 3rd CL title in a row (something unseen for 40 years). Barca will strengthen in the summer, it makes zero sense for Madrid to sell Ronaldo and concede the big tropheys to Barca. Mbappe is nowhere near to Ronaldo's current level yet and probably will never be. He may play with Ronaldo but he ain't an alternative to Ronaldo.
Did he or Mendez mention United at all during the week?A cnut's trick. That's not the first time his people has used Manchester United for their own means. The sooner he retires, the better.
Ronaldo is a self obsessed bellend. He was our bellend once but that was a long time ago.So THAT'S what an irreversible decision means...seriously though, Ronaldo can go feck himself. Lose more respect for him each time he pulls this shit.
Better options than the best or second best player in the world, sure.Literally every big club can afford him - the likes of City, Chelsea, PSG, Bayern, United, Barca can all afford the asking price. The thing is they all have better options ATM except United. Thats the reason not the asking price.
i tend to frown at Madrid fans reputation for booing/whistling their stars, but 1st game next season they can unleash hell on him
I think he won't play SupercupMight meet us in super cup
I think he won't play Supercup
I think he will. He didn't play last season's match because he was injured.
Nah, he won't play the Super Cup since he's playing for Portugal now.
Yep. Hardly like the papers (in Portugal) were making stuff up themselves without getting anything from Mendes. I mean, there were Ron and Mendes strenuously denying all this and yet the papers went on. Ron even spoke after the game against Mexico to clarify.Did he or Mendez mention United at all during the week?
It's not exactly his fault if the media wants to mention us.
That was is response to Morata. Not Ronaldo.Better options than the best or second best player in the world, sure.
Ronaldo is ridiculously underrated.
