Cristiano Ronaldo | Transfer Speculation

One of the ways in which it is dissimilar is that Ronaldo professes to love the club. If he is using us for his own ends, or allowing others to do it, it'd be really difficult to see those as much more than meaningless platitudes. There are ways to engineer a move, or get whatever it is that he wants that don't require using us.
He has used us before in 2013.

As long as the club know whether this is a goer or not that's all I really care about and if it's not we don't take our eye off our attainable targets

I think if it turns out he is using us again for financial gain then we can put to bed once and for all the notion he holds any warm feelings towards us.

He's coming home.....
No he's not. His family all live in Spain and some have businesses there and are happy living there. Ronaldo and his son live there and are happy there..not to forget that his son is also at school there.

Basically Ronaldo has a huge ego and it is not being adequately pampered and attended to by Real and the Spanish authorities......heck this is a bloke who at 32 has had an airport named after him....and so he's thrown a hissy. He has made his feelings known, rather loudly imo and soon everyone will be back to bending and curtseying and offering him more money and his ego will recover.

He will not be coming to Manchester.

Sad thing is, even if we get played by him again and he'll be in Real come September talking how much he loves Madrid and how he could never leave the club of his dreams, there will be United fans still drooling at the very thought of Ronaldo playing for us again.

If he indeed stays after all this drama and quotes of his love for Manchester and dreams of coming back here (I don't believe this is not fueled by Ronaldo's team) I'd say it's a disgrace and I don't want this lad anywhere close to this club. He had his time here, move on.

I'd love to see the club come out and say we're not interested and just end this before it begins. Every year same shit with different players.

That would be great yeah, it would also ruin Ronaldos bargaining position for whatever he's after from Real this time, the preening prick.

He hasn't given any direct quotes (yet). I wouldn't get too upset over twitter gossip if I were you.

I know he hasn't, but I think Ronaldo+Mendes lads are working hard on us being linked with CR. Quite a few rumours, as I said - I don't believe it's not fueled by Ronaldo's enviornment.

Where else is he going to live and go to school?

Is that not the case for every player who gets transferred?

I don't think he'll join but the bolded part tells us nothing.

So you're saying...we're in with a chance

Where did he or his entourage say he dreams of coming back here? If he says he misses the love he got in England and still has affiliation with Manchester United, but still decides to stay on at Real, I don't think there's anything wrong in it. Players entertain ideas of leaving for familiar territory quite often, it's only human.

I think and that's completely my opinion, based on no fact, that he needs love and he is doing it just to make the real Madrid hierarchy realize his worth . And also make the Madrid fans respect him again. Ronaldo doesn't need money nor does he need any more popularity, he needs respect and that's what he is making Real realize.
Don't get me wrong... I dream of him coming back and have dreamt it for a while but no matter how much I want he isn't showing up at United this season ..
Parisic it is then

Where did Ibrahimovic's children go to school last season?

Ronaldo may very well want to come back here and we may very well be open to it too but I just don't see how we could possibly make the numbers work. Real would want an unprecedented sum as would he wage wise, there'd be endless fine points in his contract and it would end up affecting every other deal we're working on as well as future contracts too

I'd love him here but I just don't see any club bring able to complete such a deal. Real will find a way to bung him 15m and that'll be the end of it

Unsure - but I'm sure the welfare and happiness of the kids are looked at primarily. Zlatan said himself that his kids persuaded him to join Man Utd. If Ronaldo's son is happy in Spain, I'm sure he wouldn't bother actually leaving Real Madrid.

I love Ronaldo - but for the fees involved here, I think United should stay the hell away and concentrate on the future instead. We are talking figures that would make Monaco unable to refuse the same offer for Kylian Mbappe, who has a possible 14 years or so ahead of him at the top. We sold Ronaldo for 80M - we simply cannot bring him back for 100M+ - it makes absolutely no sense to me, no matter how awesome it would be to see him in red again.

He is 32, he is 33 in February - he is extremely agile and dynamic in his style, it is not the same as Zlatan who relies on totally different aspects in his way of playing. Ronaldo will deteriorate a whole lot over the next two years, and with age and his sprints and turns, injuries will happen for sure. He is the player with the best physical shape in the entire world, but even that will not matter much vs. age. Without the running and speed, Ronaldo will not be the monster he is today - and he has shown multiple times this season that his average level has fallen, which is only natural.

It would be great, but I also think it could be an issue. What if we sign him for 100M+ and he starts to become kind of average in a year, but still demands to play every single game and keeps us from grabbing another, younger player? There is the aspect involving marketing plans, merchandise and sales - but I don't even think those things will be even near the insane fee mentioned in the tabloids. You simply don't pay such figures for a guy at 32...

How's his relationship with Jomo?

Can you see Perez appeasing Ronaldo for him stay at Real Madrid? The only way I can see him leaving Real is if he doesn't. @carvajal @Vato
