Cristiano Ronaldo | Signs for United! Fcuk City

He’ll be throwing his United legend status in the bin if he joins those twats. Can’t believe he’s even considering it. Ronaldo only cares about Ronaldo. He deluded everyone else in thinking otherwise.

That should have been obvious a long time ago.

He doesn't even care that much about Real. He constantly asked for more money and got an extension almost every other year.

Ronaldo is all about Ronaldo. He thought he was a slave here FFS. How can people still adore him so much, but give Rooney crap despite Rooney staying here during his entire prime.

RVP didn't, and he's probably closer to a legend status than Cristiano.

Being a legend isn't about trophies.
No ONLY about trophies, but great players don’t win nothing. Of course trophies matter.
RVP is an Arsenal Legend. He only had one decent season here, great player and a pleasure to watch him in our shirt but no more. It like saying Michael Owen is a Utd legend for winning the derby. Rubbish.

Yeah, the liberties we are giving Cavani are another subject. Basically playing for us part time. We’d laugh him or a similar profile player getting that freedom from an MLS club.
Same vibes as international test/county cricket

You sure about that. If they can't fill the stadium after winning numerous titles, I doubt signing Ronaldo will change much there. There was a City fan on Talksport, who said he will never set foot in the Etihad again if they sign him. There again he probably hasn't set foot in the Etihad.

This largely false rhetoric keeps getting regurgitated here and its tiresome to read.

@laughtersassassin As much as I hate the Glazers you are clutching at straws here mate Ronaldo being a prick can't be put on them. And if he goes to City I'd even say Avrem Glazer is a better human than him.

Not exactly what I was getting at really. I just mean the Glazers are the reason we are where we are and the reason we are still probably going nowhere in my humble opinion.

In not concerned with what Ronaldo is doing really. Just kind of another sign of the times really.

Mbappe to madrid... Ronaldo to PSG?

This is how I see it playing out too with Real having submitted an improved offer for Mbappe earlier today, with Qatar about to get the World Cup what better way to market it then PSG having the two biggest names in the sport and maybe world sport in general on their books.

Largely false? You could buy tickets in every block of the ground except the away end for their first home game of the season on the morning of the fecking game.

I think City is his only option unless United pulls off an unexpected move.

Always been a big fan and started following united after he joined. Last couple of years at Real with as an eptione that final he announced his departure from Real, he’s turned in to an massive bellend. That tarnishes the (romantic) view alot of united fans had.

If he goes, its just in character and I can’t wait for the reception of OT everytime he touches the ball

Don’t care to much if he joins City or not. Doesn’t change the fact he is part of our proud history and United was important for his development and fantastic career.

I’ve always thought United has warmer feelings for Ronaldo than the opposite. Ronaldo is maybe to egocentric and too much a “globetrotter” to care much about a certain affiliation and respect/disrespect in that context. He is not exactly Gerrard, Le Tissier or Giggs

I think he will struggle to meet people’s expectations in PL and I’m not sure he will be a success in City. He’s already in the process of his decline, so in my view it’s perfect timing if he decide to join City:D

Can't believe we're all still having panic attacks about this. Who cares? If United wanted him, he'd be here. We don't and he has only two options at his age with his wage demands. Good luck to him and City. Meanwhile we have 50% of their decent academy graduates and he's about 20 years younger!

Be more exciting to see him hook up with Messi but fascinating to see City invite an aging soap opera to the council house.

In terms of entertainment I'd love him at City. He's hardly a club legend in the ilk of Gerrard, Neville, Keane etc.

I'd compare it to Owen going to United.

Quite looking forward to the meltdown when he scores against us

Obviously we need a Midfielder more.

That said looking like keeping Cavani might have been the wrong move with these quarantines

I’m not saying he isn’t in decline but how many 36 year olds do you think can score 30 goals in a season?

Don't agree.

Owen has been closer to Liverpool after retirement. So yeah, he probably is their legend. After all he gave them his best years.

As RVP has been closer to us than arsenal after retirement.

I'm not saying RVP is our legend. I think none of him or Ronaldo are. But I feel RVP cares about us, so he's closer to a legend.

I also think maybe a high percentage of arsenal fans don't consider RVP as a legend either, cause he left them for a rival.

This will be the biggest transfer in the history of the league seeing Ronaldo return where it all began.

In the end of the day it he is the ultimate competitor and he knows that at Juve that won’t be possible. He knows he has 2 more years at least of top level football in him. He is still scoring 40 a season and going to City gives him the best chance to win yet another CL.

I have no doubt the move Messi did is a driving factor. That is his ultimate rival and he wants to face off 1 last time for that CL.

Does it hurt yes but this is BIG time.

Biggest summer in the history of the sport if this happens.

RC7 has always been evil.... I remember the wink, the petulance, the disrespect..... he can feck off and go to hell for all I care if he signs for them twats!

Oh yes the wink that somehow made Rooney stamp on a player one minute earlier and get a deserved red card. The man has powers

To me it's not about us getting him instead of City. I don't think we need him, and we can't really afford him probably.
It's more about him actually going to City of all places. He could just stay at Juve, engineer a move to PSG, flat out refuse City, whatever.

I am not sure if it is the management in City wants him or the coach. After all PSG signed Messi so on paper it makes sense for City to sign Ronaldo for marketing purpose. It is rumored Ronaldo will be on 250k a week and free transfer. It is a good deal for both parties. If he score even only 20 to 25 goals it is a very good deal for Man City already when the cost of striker in today's market is sky high.

He’s a cnut. Hope he fails miserably in everything he does from now onwards.
