To be fair it doesn’t seem like most of the users here were even born during his first stint at United.

He may or may not speak to Rooney before a decade passes. Its remarkable how thin skinned Ronaldo seems to be in relation to criticism from former teammates though. It seems like it stings a lot for him.

I'm sure it's as much about Portugal as it is United right now for Bruno. He's going to be pissed that Ronaldo did this just before the World Cup, which will create drama for Portugal since it impacts Bruno and Dalot. Bruno has rediscovered some form and Dalot has been at his best in a United shirt. Now Ronaldo throws a bomb into all of that in addition to creating distractions for Portugal.

People forget back when SAF in charge you would never get leaks the dressing room. They was all ”United”. It would hurt anybody who somebody you was once close with and shared special memories with to be bad mouthing you.
If Ronaldo was/is unhappy then surely he should have spoken in private to ETH, not go on TV and whine. There can be no denying Ronaldos place in our pantheon of great players but by crying in his soup like this he has demeaned himself, even if he has been treated badly. We've had great players leave under a storm cloud before, Ince, Keanne, Staam, Beckham to name but 4 but their legacies have largely remained intact, though Keanne has, in my opinion, behaved like a child since he left. Sadly Ronaldo has tarnished his legacy in a similar way.

Footballers are human and I can imagine Diogo and Bruno seeing the headlines from Ronaldo's interview and thinking "fuuuuuuuuu 'ksake now I'm going to have to put up with questions about Ronaldo for the next six weeks". I think Ronaldo’s criticism of Gary Neville shows a pretty insecure child. Neville has actually held back on Ronaldo, because he is an ex colleague but the little that he has said has been true.

Kind of makes Rooney out to be a saint at United, this does. Yes he requested a move away under SAF but he never disrespected the fans and was relatively right about our signings after Ronaldo left. He'll always be a legend in my eyes despite that period.

Rooney overstepped the mark in his criticism recently. Saying Keane wouldn’t stand for certain antics etc. It was a lack of loyalty to a former teammate which is fine, he doesn’t necessarily owe anything but can’t be surprised when Ronaldo snaps back there. Especially when the younger Rooney has been retired for several years.
How was that overstepping? The comments on Keane were a response to Keane defending Ronaldo for being unprofessional. There was nothing wrong with what he said. Ronaldo has not responded to the points Rooney made, instead chose to go after him for being retired and getting a bit tubby.
Also, you call it a lack of loyalty to Ronaldo (which is just silly) but it could be argued he is showing loyalty to the club he represented for about 13 years.

ETH probably has spoken to Ronaldo already and told him he won’t be starting every game. Ronaldo obviously throwing his toys out of the pram rather than just accepting it. His ego is too big to just sit on the bench and be ready when he’s called upon.
I am not contradicting your claim here but i am trying to find the part "he was asked why he wasn't in the side today ?" where is that ? as its really important , as if it as you say , then the interview was done on sunday game day whilst telling the club he was ill.
