I actually wonder if Ronaldo has a personality disorder like Narcissistic personality disorder (NPD).

He speaks like one. It used to seem he was arrogant in his ability but he was the best, now it just seems like he's a bit of a twat.

He did say some things that the club didn't evolve internally (fair) but his digs at ETH and at Rooney were uncalled for honestly.

Honestly he's a little coward because this interview is released because he's gone in January.

Wonder if any of our ex players will defend the honour of the Football Club eg he’s disrespect to the manager and current players who are the best bunch we’ve had post SAF. I’m not talking about the glazers, but my feeling is that our ex players will focus on his criticism of board and ignore how he’s sharted on the manager and current team.

I think his behavior is not hard to understand. He apparently needs time to get used to it, the fact that his career at top level is near the end if not already so. It is the symptoms many people experience around retirement. It could also last longer.
after several years, all of what happened and is happening will fade away.
Our club has to swiftly deal with this now.

That was his most exciting season for me. Even Scholes said that his performances that season were unlike any other player he'd seen during his time at the club.

Now that we have read everything, I swear this makes me appreciate Zlatan a hell lot more as our player in 2016-17 and then what he became after he came back in Milan. An old and declining player should find ways to remain that figure for others to look up to instead of lowering himself the way Ronaldo did.
 
Point may already have been made here but important to note that a manager cannot disrespect his entire squad in order to make one player feel respected. He is responsible for all the players and the club.

He wanted to play in the Champions League. Don't buy the man-child's narrative. This is not on ETH and the club.

The guy literally handed in a transfer request on the news early in the window and refused to show up to pre-season because of "family issues".

If the disrespect hes referring to is simply because of his benching that's obviously childish on ronaldos part. If there's more to this story then we'll see. I can't imagine hes stupid enough to torch is reputation over simply getting dropped. He says he doesn't respect eth, there may be more to why he doesn't. Let's see what happens. How deep does the lack of support over the death of his newborn death and daughters illness go?

Then why did he say in May that he's looking forward to working with ten hag? He knew utd isnt getting champions league then!

Something obviously changed between then and July when he started to look for a new club. And by the sounds of it its that eth and the club made it clear to him they didn't want him

Still remember the sheer excitement when his reunion with United was announced. As a United fan I was delirious with excitement.

He lost a newborn last season. His daughter was severely ill in the summer. He feels utd treated him poorly through those ordeals. On top of that hes clearly playing terribly and is rightly dropped. Hes obviously going through a horrendous time and is probably suffering mentally. It doesn't excuse his actions such as refusing to come on. But i want to know (from the full interview) to what extent the club treated him "poorly" from his standpoint. As I said, if its purely because he was dropped then he's a childish idiot. Let's see what comes out

Despite never really warming to him I’d actually hoped to see him turn it around after how badly the season has been going for him. Then he goes and reminds us what twat he can be. Anyway, I’m glad he’s made it all the more easier for Ten Hag to leave him out.

It's clear that Ronaldo needs to be gone and this second stint quickly forgot about. What shouldn't be forgotten is that this club makes dreadful decisions and isn't totally committed to being the best in England/Europe. That may have all changed (or at least started) this summer, but time will certainly tell on that front.

Encouraging signs under EtH but there's much more to fix on and off the field, frighteningly by some of the same people who've overseen a decade+ of underinvestment in infrastructure, generally dreadful investment on the field, and the wrong decisions in appointing managers till now let's hope.

I’m just curious to know what will be going through the heads of players like Dalot, Garnacho, Antony and to a lesser extent Bruno & Casemiro. These guys obviously all admire him - particularly the younger ones with Dalot even saying recently that Ronaldo is his best friend in football. Will they be as shocked as we are or would they have already been aware he feels like this? Which would make it even more confusing as they have continued to admire him despite everything in recent months. And I somehow doubt they wouldn’t have know about how Ronaldo feels behind the scenes.
 
Ronaldo has picked that virus up again its called "self-centredcockyitis" . To do this interview now with Arsenal Fanboy Morgan is nothing short of disgraceful.

I don't consider them to be. They all actively choose to support Ronaldo over the club. All very good players in their own right but anyone still trying to support Ronaldo even now doesn't care a single bit about the club in my view.

Nah man, as a parent I can't imagine losing one of the twins and another one hospitalized situation. It's completely understandable, what I don't understand is why the club didn't make any statements during this time, they could have handled the media easily but chose not to do. The whole media and fans were bashing him over the whole summer but nobody knew his infant had a medical emergency. The only reason I can think of is the club didn't want to bed with him to ship him somewhere.

seeing as Ronaldo himself didn’t say anything, surely a more logical reason would be that he wanted it kept private
 
Clear why he's doing this.

We've shown the tendency to forcibly hold on to players for years and years even when they want to leave, so Ronaldo probably thinks the only way out for him and back in the CL is the nuclear option. Fair enough, if he's let go in January to a CL team then everyone gets their wish and he's someone else's problem.

I can understand why a player with all-time records on the line would be pissed off with the situation. But his Utd legacy is now severely tarnished.

To be fair Ronaldo didn't make any statements either. I'm sure there was dialog behind the scenes regarding his personal situation and the consensus was to keep it quiet. Ronaldo is the one who is going public with his side of the story when it suits him best.
