That Garnacho goal must have really pissed him off.

Really takes the sting out of his cnut interview that we won in the last minute with a goal by our new wonder kid.

Get him the feck out of the club the absolute cretin

Thar should be the final straw

Wish we had never brought him back. That he stayed in Turin or went to City.

Could we sack him for this?

Trying to destabilise the work the manager is doing in improving the culture, speaking out while he's still employed by us on a whacking great wage?

Be gone

What club befitting his ego and expectations is going to touch him with a barge pole? He couldn't find any takers in the summer, he's got less chance now after this/his performances so far.

Will be interesting seeing Bruno and Dalot with him in Portugal. If I was Portugal manager, I'm not sure how much I'd be wanting this guy around.

I feel for him with everything he's been through in his personal life recently, and there's a lot that's wrong with the club, but this is unforgivable.

Using the old club is forcing me out trick . Hoping to divide the supporters

Wow, way to end his career at the club. He spent all summer whoring himself all over europe and nobody wanted to come near him, and he takes home 500k each week while being absolutely terrible after getting a lot of chances, and that's the club betraying him? A delusional piece of shit that shouldn't step a foot into the club again.

It is objectively very funny that he thinks the most sympathetic route is to say the new manager, whose played him loads throughout a prolonged spell of bad form, started him in our first two games after missing all of pre-season, dealt with all the drama surrounding him pretty well and always sought to de-escalate it and even made him captain last week, has “no respect for him” and has treated him badly…

Really read the room well there
It comes across like the sort of world view informed solely by having everyone in your life telling you how wonderful everything you do and say is. Eventually, things like logic, empathy and self awareness are dispensed with, as they just slow things down.

But we knew this?

He's trying to justify his own outrageous behaviour
We knew this, but when the most famous followed social media etc footballer on the planet says to Morgan on an interview, then the whole world knows it too. And its about time, make the Glazers feel a bit awkward at the very least.

The best thing Piers has ever done is give Ronnie enough rope to hang himself once and for all. I'm glad he won't be playing any more and will be out of the club as soon as possible.

As for 'lots needs to change at United, they've made no progress since Fergie retired' I agree we've made some shambolic decisions, high among them is inviting the CR7 circus back to town at this late stage of his career.

Every single week he makes the headlines, even when the team wins and he's not there, he is obsessed with attention. It's incredible.

What an idiot.

If you are not with him then your are his enemy. What a basic way of thinking. Pathetic.

This is monster mentality? This is how the suppossed GOAT must act? What a joke.

Don’t see anyway back from this. Doubt he’ll play for Utd again.

Glad this is coming out though, shows how awful the Glazers are.

Crynaldo isn't saying anything that hasn't been known. Literally nothing anyone can do or it would have been done already. but we can't force them to sell and if we could it would be some state sports wash

Doesn't matter. Santos and the rest of the shot callers for the national team don't have enough spine to drop Ronaldo. He will start every game.

Suspend him without pay and then get rid of him. Surely he's in some sort of breach.

Good riddance you absolute toss pot.

Ronaldo has shitted on the club. The club where he made his name. It's sad on so many different levels.

He’s right in many parts but that’s the way he is manipulating the situation to gain support for his own selfish motives, appalling behaviour, and appalling comments about the manager.

Yes the club is run by inferior people. Yes the club has stagnated. Yes the Glazers haven’t invested in the clubs infrastructure and training ground. So he says what he knows the fans will agree with, but he himself would not care about if he was starting every match.

But on the football side his been the knob this year. He was the one who wanted to leave and found out no team wanted him. He was the one disrespecting the club, manager and players by walking out of match’s, not once but twice. And quite frankly his comment about Ten Hag are ridiculous, ETH is the best thing to happen to United since SAF retired and ETH has given him chances but he didn’t take them.

Wait i thought we were going to use him in a high press to cut off the angles?

Well at least we can sack him now witthout pay. Presumably he waited till the World Cup to say this because he plans to retire immediatley afterwards.

This is such a poor PR job.. No one is going to believe his bs story.. he just comes across as a pathetic crybaby..

Never playing for the club again.. so that's a huge positive.. also, will force the club to make a replacement signing in Jan..
Win - Win..
You've not been reading the thread then? We have some very special folk on here - honestly the cult of Ronaldo is one of the wonders of the world

We knew that all already. It's a desperate attempt to pretend he gives a feck about the club and the fans, he cares about himself, he proved that in the summer and all throughout the first half of this season.

I know what he is. But having a player of his stature drawing attention to how we have been neglected is a good thing

Just heard about this on MotD.

Totally unacceptable behaviour, probably should be construed as gross misconduct and be given the sack.

fecking hell, he made him captain (ahead of De Gea) after all he did before and this is how he repays Ten Hag and United.

Could be what he's looking for to be released from his contract. He should be made unavailable until the window and sold.

Ronaldo’s ego and him aging is like two trains colliding.

He can’t face he’s not better than the bench anymore.

It’s like his ego makes him practically blind.

What a car crash of an interview. I don't really understand what's happening with Ronaldo. Even in the National team, his attitude has been rubbish. I also don't understand his connection with a prick like Piers Morgan, although it can be telling regarding his personality. At this point, I think he should go to the MLS. I really don't want him near Sporting with this kind of attitude.

His points regarding United (not Ten Hag) are spot on though. In terms of organization, United has been shambles in the last years.
It's sad but, I think even in the world cup he's going to burn bridges with Portugal fans. You guys have a brilliant young team but he doesn't want to take a back seat to let it flourish. He actually thinks he's the same player as he was when he was 27 !

Similarities with keanes interview that ended his career at United.

And just like Keane, he was no longer the player he once was 3 years before that. A man who can’t accept he’s not that good anymore and thinks he’s bigger than he actually is.

Every single week he makes the headlines, even when the team wins and he's not there, he is obsessed with attention. It's incredible.

It's total narcissistic behaviour.

It all has to be about him, and when he cant make it all about him by his actions on the pitch, because he's been fecking awful all season, he'll make it all about him by his actions off the pitch.

So refusing to come on, storming out the ground, this interview.

From Ronaldo's view what are the actual positives of doing this?

Club pay out his contract, he joins whichever club he wants. Who knows, maybe that American fella at Chelsea is back in his ear after their shit form.
United won’t let him go there, but maybe now they just wanna wipe their hands with him.

I’d love it, Potter would fecking hate him too.

Hurt by those comments, in such a public display, by someone who I grew up adoring and made me fall in love with Manchester United. What I am delighted with is that the world cup will be his downfall and the Portuguese and worldwide media will be vindicated that he is the problem and not the team he plays with. Let him go down painfully if he is so content to burn every bridge he's ever crossed. Who will he blame after that

Is this the bombshell interview he promised in September?
