Cristiano Ronaldo | Real confirm deal

his wage at Real is about 21 ml €. Apparently his demands for new contract is worth 30 ml €. In Italy this means (with tax) 60 milions per year, for 4 years (240 ml + another 100/120ml for buy the player) . No Italian club can afford these figures. Maybe I'm Wrong, we'll see.

Nobody will pay him that unless he goes to China.

Zero chance he goes to Juve, they cant afford either his fee (even at 120m) or his huge wages.

Weird with Juve they seem to love being linked with big players yet everybody knows they have no chance of signing them.

Coming next week Juve linked with Neymar.

If they were to sell Dybala then there are the funds. That is if you're assessment is true, but, forgive me, your word isn't enough to convince me.

Firstly Dybala is still a Juventus player and probably won't be sold this Summer
Secondly, even if they somehow afford his transfer fee, how will they afford his on-going wages?

1. I explicitly said if they would decide to sell him. So don't understand your first point.
2. Well if they sold Dybala for 120 and bought Cristiano for 60 for three years then they have still 105 left (assuming Dybala gets paid around 15m before taxes). To raise 45m with Ronaldo from sponsorships, match day, tv etc. is imo doable too. That's under the assumption Ronaldo gets around 50m annually (before taxes).

120 is too cheap. It should be at least 160/180(or more).Maybe Juve can offer players.Pjanic or Bentancur could be fine

You can ask for 200m, I doubt anyone will pay that for a 33yo, even if he's the GOAT...

I'm partial to Douglas Costa and Dybala. Douglas Costa would have been the perfect wingman for Cristiano honestly.

This is still all smoke anyways, unless Cristiano accepts to significantly slash his current wages

Don't care how good the player is. Paying that for a 33.5 y/o is awful business.

So Cristiano is upset over not getting a wage increase and people believe he will join Juve on slashed wages? He's staying put unless PSG enter a race and he is willing. Real hold all the cards.

Sure we wont allow him to leave Madrid for anywhere other than here?

How do I delete all Ronaldo threads from the feed/list? So annoying. He will never come back. Don’t be stupid to waste your time.

Totally agree. He's still a very special player but you can't justify the short term gain against the long term cost imo.

The club is minted, and the transfer cost would be recouped by marketing in no time anyway. Wages are another matter but who cares if he delivers success?

Paying 100M for a 33 year old is not how Juve handle their business. There's a lot more smoke screens going on here. If Juve had that kind of money they would have paid for Milinkovic-Savic.

If Real Madrid manage to get 100 mil for Ronaldo they will have done a fantastic job.

Just taking a long term view. Blowing so much on him wouldn't be the answer in my opinion. If they could get him at a reasonable cost then fair enough.

It's been nine years since he left. I don't think he at any point has given us any thought. He still values Fergie, but Man Utd is most likely a closed chapter in his life.

Would be great for football and The Italian league if he went there. Personal I’m happy with his legacy here and wouldn’t want him back. We need to move on and do what’s best for the team and future.

Took a chance with Higuain, Failed. But Juve always make good moves . Evra, Khedira, Alves... This is on those lines. If MLS, China are retirement destinations. Juve must be Pre-retirement destination.

Unless he specifically doesn't want to come here then that's largely irrelevant, the point I'm making is we as a club cant allow him to go anywhere else other than come here (unless PSG spend Neymar money on him).

Thread title translation 'Ronaldo unhappy and wants a bigger contract than ever'

Well that's just not true. We could quite happily let him go elsewhere, I certainly would.

Why not? It's not like our success/failure should be dependent on one single player.

Agreed. I think he’d only maybe decide to return to United post-Sir Alex if:

1. He fancied retiring as the record goal-scorer for both Real and United;
2. We offered a much higher salary than anyone else;
3. Nobody else came in for him and he actually desperately did want to leave Real.

But even if that were the case, the fact we are managed by Jose would probably negate all that.

Juventus makes more sense, though as ever I don’t believe he will leave Real until he actually does.

Yeah, Italy in general is a good place for an ageing attacker. Totti, Del Piero, Vieiri, Di Natale, Di Vaio, etc, all did pretty well in their mid-thirties. For Ronaldo, a chance to win another Ballon d'Or is probably still also on his mind.

Cristiano would elevate Juve to another dimension(and Calcio in general)in a sport and a marketing way, which I think is their main goal and started with that new crest.
He is their most realistic option of getting a super star.
They would ask a crazy amount for Dybala, who has not done anything in football.
I'm sure they are aware that 120 is not enough and will increase the offer (if they really want him)

They are good options too,I don't mind if we are sure that we'll get Neymar or Mbappé.

I'm thankful you dont matter then
The feeling is mutual, particularly since you would have us buy him back when Real Madrid would reportedly demand some €120m+. As good as he is, that would just be a moronic decision.

It is too big of a risk. He will be 34 next year and at this age you never know which year is your last. One serious injury and that's it.
You could say the same about any player regarding serious injuries.

The point is Ronaldo at 33 is significantly fitter than a lot of players at 28.

Right now he is but the downfall in your 30's is not as gradual as late 20's. Look at Rio or Vidic. It happens suddenly, sometimes within a few months.

Maybe Ronaldo won't deteriorate till he is 36 or he might next season. Too unpredictable.

Trrouble is anyone who buys him would get a year (two max) out of him at CR7 level. After that the degradation would be quite stark.

That's not true either, Rooney's decline came much quicker much younger.

Anyway, I still don't think Real will sell him.

Zlatan at 35 was still our best player, Cristiano will only be better.
