Cristiano Ronaldo - Man Utd Player

Just want to see Ronaldo-Cavani-Sancho front three. Greenwood and Rashford as subs will tear apart tired defences.

He's scored more goals for Portugal than Tony Martial has in his entire career.

He's winning the golden boot this season isn't he? Even an AWB cross will become lethal with this guy on the end of them.

Unlike Portugal we can still win games without him.

you say that but he’s likely to have a impact on Greenwood who would usually display the same selfishness as Ronaldo when near goal. Ronaldo would be quick to moan if he’s doing that and not passing perhaps. Just adds to the pressure on the player I’d say each time. Will be interesting to see if we become dependent on him.

The late yellow card means Ronaldo does not need to travel to Azerbajian for Portugal’s second World Cup qualifier next week. This was due to take place on Tuesday.

We need to tweet and troll this guy throughout the season.
The match was heartbreaking due to being Irish. But I don’t get his point, I’ve seen Ronaldo be 5-6/10 and score winning goals a lot. That is why is considered so good when he isn’t playing well he still scores. I’ll take 5/10 performances with 2 goals

Yeah shame he's got that friendly in Qatar on Saturday as well

He is going to tear up the Premier league this season, win the golden boot, and leave quite a few "pundits" looking a bit stupid.

Thats just the problem with him being 36. Every average game = his age. Every time he makes a mistake = his age, etc. Even though he has been average planty of times throughout his career, as is the case with literally every player in football history.

Any chance with the suspension he returns to Manchester early? I know he just broke the international record, but every player knows what will happen when you take you shirt off, could this be by design?

I guess we will see after Saturday's game what he decides to do

Even in his last season for us he had plenty of games where his performances were middling but had one or two big contributions.

Those TWO goals in the Champions League Semi-Final second leg at The Emirates stands out

He is the last person to act unprofessionally.

It's a legit question. If tactically you are set up to win the ball in the opponents half, you need the forwards to press.

Yeah if you're set up to play that way yeah it would be useful. But there's plenty of strikers who do lots of pressing yet are shit at putting the ball in the back of the net.

If you have a striker who's consistently banging in 30+ goals at 36 then if you're a manager you let that guy press as much or as little as he likes.

Admittedly that's not really how we play, but arguably we should.

Personally I'm glad we don't base our game around pressing, the obsession with pressing in the modern game is making football less entertaining as a spectacle in my opinion.

Back to the little citeh forums for you

Im sorry but that's a really insensitive post. Quite frankly, it's more likely the kind of thing you'd find in Bluemoon than the post you quoted, which is raising an important, however uncomfortable, moral issue about a player we have just signed.

You can take the 'innocent until proven guilty' stance (which is my position), but dismissing people for raising the concern out of hand and implying they are rival supporters for bringing it up is wrong. I can understand it, I've caught myself rationalizing the situation a bunch of times on the last few days and had to check myself, but we have to change the way we talk about these things.

No it wasn't. He was for some odd reason "disappointed" it wasn't being discussed in a thread celebrating his return to the club. As pointed out there's a separate thread to discuss the historic allegations of rape and there's a thread in the general discussing sexual offences and consent at detail.

He was "disappointed" not to see that discussed in here why? Because he's trolling.

Not if Greenwood scores with almost every shot on target, which he invariably does ;)

Honestly, I'm more concerned players may at into a habit of always looking for Ronaldo even when they're in good enough positions. I actually don't think Ronaldo is as selfish as some believe, but when a player has that stature, there is a danger of others becoming reliant on him, and that's what we need to avoid.

We don't play a front 3, it'll be ronaldo with Bruno at 10 and pogba and Sancho either side

Greenwood is going to be a star no matter what. Exciting times. Midfield will be a hindrance however

I wish they'd quit with the whole 'coming home' garbage.

He was great during his early years with us, and great to have 2 years now too. But even Ronaldo looked like he was cringing in the interview, clearly told he had to say the word 'home'.
