Cristiano Ronaldo - Man Utd Player

Ronaldo has scored more penalties than Fernandes. Yes Fernandes has a better record but that's because he has only took like 42 penalties in his career, and he's only missed 3. Ronaldo has took 139 penalties in his career and missed just 28.. so all those people saying Fernandes should keep taking the penalties because he has a better record.. that's because he's took almost 100 penalties less than Ronaldo and in less pressure situations! if you take less penalties you'll more than likely have a better success rate.. So I hope Ronaldo gets the penalties as he's our main striker, he needs the confidence of them and the media/press are waiting for him to fail to hammer him you know the first game he doesn't score the knives will be out and he will get frustrated/lose confidence.. you wouldn't take Ruud Van Nistelrooy off penalties for Fernandes even if Fernandes has a better record.. even though Ruud Van Nistelrooy has took 52 penalties in his career and missed 13! that's a worse record than CR7 but Ruud took them as he was our main striker and needed the goals and confidence just like Ronaldo does now!

Ronaldo has took the penalties for the biggest clubs in the World in Real Madrid, Juve and Manchester United in his first spell. Aswell as Portugal. So he has the experience in pressure situations. He should take them for United.
Someone who is talking complete sense!!! Take a bow and thanks for your contribution :)

"People speak about the age, but they should understand, and they know I'm different, I'm different from the rest of the people"

Could be anything he wants to be this lad, just needs to believe in himself a bit more. :D

Shades of " I’m not one from the bottle. I think I’m a special one.”

I have never understood the hate that people have for this man.

They call him a failure.

I guess they hate success that comes from hard work.

 exactly, quietly confident these Portuguese lads.

Brilliant to see it, we've missed that total self belief & bit of arrogance in the team these past few years.

I actually think he realised that unlike Madrid or Turin everyone here genuinely loves him and appreciate him. Not fake like elsewhere.

Well, unlike Madrid, we didn't wave white handkerchiefs at him from the crowd because he had a poor half-season.

The way he plays now and the way he maintains himself, he can keep that going for 4 years.

Yeah. People see 36. They should see his fitness age and then adjust accordingly. Lewandowski is nearly 33 and right on top. Ronaldo is 36 but in terms of his physical age, he's early 30's which means in 3-4 years if his diet and training is the same, at 40 he'll be able to perform like a 36 year old. This is why it's easy to see him keeping a high level over the next few years. His dedication to diet and training keeps him able to perform at that level in the way that it did for Floyd Mayweather when he got older.

It took him two weeks to come up with this crap. It's like everytime a player choses some other club instead of Pep he comes up with some crap.

I follow all of sport and can say that Ronaldo is special. The only other athlete that is so dedicated is Ole Einar Bjørndalen. They have both changed their home into something that can make them stay at top for longer than anyone else. They just have a dedication that is impossible for most people after a long career. They were the best at their prime, but they remained the best because their dedication and other worldly work.

He seems so excited to be back. Can’t wait for Saturday, the atmosphere will be incredible.

What a load of shit. They went in there, 120 million for Harry Kane, wages not a problem, and they didn't shit the bed about needing to sell a forward

Last year they were practically begging Messi to join their small time project, money and wages not a problem, and they didn't shit the bed about selling a forward.

I feel that for him to get the record we should have bagged him when he was 31. At the very least, immediately after he left Real. He would have had a good chance then. I can see him cracking the top 5 though. I think he's only 61 away from top 5, and that would be a monumental achievement

another interesting record, 16 more league goals and he'll be the first ever player with +100 goals in both the Premier League and La Liga

I reckon Ronaldo might stay at Manchester United even when he retires from playing football. Maybe an assistant manager, coaching or overseas ambassadorial role has been promised? (Our new director of football? haha!) He could be a player-coach like Giggsy when he's 40. I could see him wanting to give management a crack. Give him the reserves or youth team maybe or get him to be our new striker coach coaching the strikers. He shown some potential in the Euro 2016 final that he can still inspire players on the touchline.. and with what Ronaldo has achieved in the game they'd be a massive que of clubs wanting to give him a chance as a manager. I don't know what's written in Ronaldo's Manchester United contract (any clauses etc) but I wouldn't be surprised if it included and structured something like that (coaching/ambassadorial role) at the end of his playing career. The fact he only just officially signed his United contract yesterday(https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/football/16097694/cristiano-ronaldo-signs-man-utd-contract/ sorry can't post pictures yet) suggests it's took awhile to write it all up. But maybe that's me putting 2 and 2 together and getting 5.

I can imagine Fergie told him that Manchester United always look after the former players even after retirement. If he went to City we couldn't do that.. not for another 10-20 years anyway if ever!

I don't see him just retiring into the sunset football his whole life has been football it's hard to just walk away from that he seems the type who needs to constantly be working . I could see him going down the coaching/management route (beat Messi as a manager!?) or even a media role as he's quite charismatic lad.

Or I might be wrong and he'll go to the MLS when he's 40 once his contract expires with us to play for David Beckham's Inter Miami MLS franchise to squeeze a few more years out of his playing career of playing "soccer" and start an Hollywood acting career! because there was talk/rumours going around that if Manchester City signed him they'd be structuring the deal/contract to send him to the MLS feeder club they have after 2 years (New York City FC or something like that) to maximise the commercial/marketing potential. Like they did with a few other players ala Lampard

Is it me or does he looked more relaxed than usual. Looks like a man who doesn't need to answer any questions.

Yeah either he is or its one of those rare interviews he isn't playing the Ronaldo character as much. Great to see.

I can't believe he's come back home still. Been loving the buzz around it

Ballbag strikes again.

I usually find Balague fairly balanced but this seems way off. City had to sell? Really? So the offer they made for Kane didn't happen? city could easily have spent the money needed for Ronaldo - it wasn't even a big fee and he was taking a pay cut to leave Juve. Sounds like he's trying to save Pep and city some face with this. Disappointing journalism.

Interview with Wes Brown

06:50 Prepare and make pressure on the squad to get into starting eleven

:cool::cool::cool:

Ballbag strikes again.

Even Real Madrid reddit knows this guy isnt reliable. When reddit questions your credibility you need to rethink your life choices. So Ballbag has always been full of shite.

Fairly old interview but I hadn't seen it before. For anybody interested. Comes across very well and has some nice things to say about his time in England/Sir Alex.

I think I will be a huge thing in the next 3 or 4 years.

Does Wes Brown have some official role in the club?

I don’t get why Howson is “rapping” shit here. It was so bad I Couldn’t listen to it past the 30 second mark.

Yeah agreed. I don't think Eminem will be losing any sleep over Howson's rap 'skills'

Yeh. Man City needed to sell, before forking out 25m. Haha..
Pep's comments just hours before Ronaldo announcement was made tells you all you need to know. "Players like Ronaldo decide where they wanna play" He decided on United and city fans and ABU's rewriting the narrative to fit the story that suits them just smacks of desperation.

That is the reason why it is just not true.
i had to laugh at the whatsapp group chat too….
