United legend who made flirty eyes at Madrid for years, then came back and stunk the place up and tried to derail the best setup we've had since Ferguson left? I'll enjoy his goals and moments up till he left the first time, but he's a long way down the 'legends list' for me.

Thanks Christ every other question to Ten Hag will now not be about Ronaldo !

Perfect Lewa replacement, they lack a striker and Ronaldo at Bayern I think would shut a lot of people up.
Yes. It would shut his cultists up .

Imagine the scene when Nagelsmann benches Ronaldo. "Bayern Munich disrespects me. Benches in Manchester were more comfortable. I'm going to tell Piers Morgan"

Should have been this past summer itself.

Wish we could see the backs of toxic fans as well, both ones overly in support of Ronaldo and ones that go out of their way to turn any conversion into an anti Ronaldo debate. Club over player. Always.

Was that ever an option for him though. He's a type 1 personality like Leno, insanely competitive, thats what made him a Goat. But they're notorious for being reluctant to let go of the spotlight.
Ibrahimović did it! Makes it about himself publicly for his persona but in the dressing room he is an inspiration

Chefs are still making sausages.

This exists?

This is was his way out of facing the fact he could no longer hack it in the premiership.

Deep down this was his last desperate attempt of finding a way out. Like a fighting losing in a fight and looking for the ref to stop the fight, but the ref doesn't stop the fight, so the fighter starts doing low blows to get themselves disqualified.

The premiership and the competition at United were taking a beating on Ronaldo and he couldn't cope with the fight, the pace of the premiership and a disciplinarian manager who was willing to deliver hard blows if instructions and rules were not carried out.

The interview with piers was his way of delivering low illegal blows to get himself disqualified and escape from the challenges he faced in front of him at United.

Glad this was done quickly and smoothly. This was the most likely outcome and it’s been delivered before Ronaldo has kicked another ball after the interview.

Good firm decision making by the club.

Ronaldo’s legacy at United will always remain tarnished by this. Just like Keane’s was with his interview (although that didn’t become public)

Kudos the club for their handling of it, nothing but respect for Ten Hag as well through out this saga.....so glad he's gone. Thats half a mil off the wage bill! Let this be a lesson that the second time around is never as good!

It's not comparable really.

Zlatan is the perfect example of how big players should be. He’s happy to make it all about him when it helps those around him, and always a beacon to this side. There’s only really Pep that’s worked with him that doesn’t sing his praises.

How is Keanes reputation with Utd tarnished? Mans a fuking walking legend who went down swinging as his team mates for being shite. Leader till the end and every one of those players has since come out and said it was no big deal…they were used to it!

Ronaldo on the other hand did enough during his first stint to talk himself out of any sort of legacy…never mind his latest instalment.

He made a hint at retiring in the Morgan interview when he said that he'll definitely retire if Portugal go all the way in the World Cup. If he has a decent World Cup and there aren't any takers he deems worthy of his stature, even if Portugal don't win the whole thing, I won't rule out the possibility of him retiring outright the moment his tournament ends.

I think he knows he's done deep inside.
