Will be some humble pie for him this season being benched by Martial and seeing not a single club go after him. Like fair enough if he wants to leave. But in the end nobody will want to go for him, so he'll stay and he'll have to be ok with it because that's the reality now. He's not a top player anymore.

Yeah I don't doubt some teammates are sick of him or dislike him but if you believe media reports he is having lunch alone in a corner snickering at the squad
This is 2022 pal.... if you have a few thousand in the stadium, you know any little thing is being picked up on if you are player, forget being a player with Ronaldo's popularity and image. Anything he does in the open world is done knowing cameras are on him more or less.

I don't think Ronaldo is as hated in the dressing room as the media would like us to believe. But he's already done more than enough to annoy the feck out of ETH, from not showing up to pre season to wanting to leave and failing to find a club. It's not a situation that you want to have in your team.

You made it sound like they're going to Ronaldo to "salut" him, as though he's some sort of hero. In answer to your question though, yes, somebody like Ronaldo absolutely would do something uncomfortable like that in front of watching eyes and cameras. If it served a purpose.
Though I don't think all the players have an issue with him, and some probably don't hold it against him personally. I wouldn't be surprised if some players felt they play within themselves with him around, that doesn't mean they're not friendly with him. There's people I've hated playing football with, but I don't hold it against them.
We should play him in the early rounds of the Europa along with the kids. Then play the more serious players in the QF and beyond if we get there.
I bet he will ask for his island back from mendes for failing to get him a club. And for over promising his back in may/June that there were so many choices out there.

The funny thing about this whole situation is how before the summer, all we heard from pundits is how Ronaldo is the last problem we have, how it's all about goals and he gets you goals, ... all that superficial analysis that made it sound like he is either our biggest problem or he is good for us. He was neither. The point all along was that he can't be part of a dynamic high octane team and that if we were aiming to be that, he can't be part in it. It was never that he was a problem in an underachieving team. The jury from the only qualified football people is out now, all the top coaches in Europe looked and thought he does not fit them. That was the message all along and the fact that he wasn't shit last year in a season when we were, does not change that.
Di Marzio saying Mendes is trying to negotiate with Napoli with view to shipping out Oshimen, as wel as Milan with view to ship out Leao. If it's true he's going full tilt in securing a CL season for Ronnie. Maybe they had to wait to find out which unfancied CL clubs had favourable groups
