I suffer delusions of grandeur
King?
Get fecked.
Get fecked.
Correct.
I'm baffled by those who are upset he isn't gone.
In a functioning team, he would score more. Our alternative front three is Sancho/Martial/Rashford with Elanga as back up.
Get real for wanting him to leave. Look at our depth ffs.
He outscored everyone bar Salah/Son last season, despite being in the worst United side I’ve ever seen.
If people don’t want him fair enough, but lets stop pretending he’s finished.
He becomes the focal point of every attack even if its not always optimal. He missed a ton of chances, I think he had the worst xG to actual goals at some point in the season. The end result is he scores a lot of goals but the team as a whole scores less. It worked when he was actually in his prime , because it was a shitton of goals but it's no longer the case.
Sorry but goals are not enough in the Premier League for a striker anymore. If the strikers are not pressing and covering the ground, you're going to get exposed in midfield and defence. We saw that last season and it'll be worse next season with Ronaldo a year older. He outscored everyone bar Salah/Son last season, despite being in the worst United side I’ve ever seen.

Matial had a bad loan, he's come back and been one of our best players during pre-season under the new manager. He 100% deserves to start over anyone else for now. If he stinks up the place, by all means replace himHe surely didn't think he'd cruise back in after a crap loan and be the big man here?
He'll be lucky we don't take his squad number off him for when we sign some reserve right back.
This is where you need to get real. It isn’t possible to have a functioning team with Ronaldo in it anymore. Any team with him it will score less and concede more.Correct.

We look a completely different team so far
This is why he has to go. We look far better as a team without Ronaldo.
He was known as big time bottler in the 00sScored an 83rd minute equaliser against Liverpool, won us the league cup final. “Bottled it”.
What is this based on?This is where you need to get real. It isn’t possible to have a functioning team with Ronaldo in it anymore. Any team with him it will score less and concede more.
…unless he suddenly becomes a different type of player, which I highly doubt he will.
People don't seem to realise he's the one who makes us dysfunctional.I see we've gone backwards several weeks to this again.

Weird how much a hate a club legend gets for wanting now. The same haters moan when a player doesn't hand in a transfer request and wants to "ride out their fat contract".
I'm a fan of Ronaldo - in my eyes he is a club legend. Referring to yourself as the King, no matter who you are is disappointing and cringeworthy though.
?The most successful teams in world football?
They all work as a collective and the ones that don't (even with an abundance of talent) fail to win the top honours?

We were dysfunctional underneath Ole and Pirlo's Juve were poor regardless of Ronaldo.
It's for the best that he's yet again showed how one sided the love affair is between himself and the club. Anyone still calling him a United legend right now is just willfully blind to the fact.
He's seen Benzema be called King by the fans of 'the club of his dreams' and probably felt a bit jealous.Calling himself the “The King”
Fecking cringey. Sounds like something you’d hear in WWE.
Correct.

Based on analysis of measurable team parameters like results and points won, goals scored, goals conceded, chances created, chances conceded, number of transitions taken/allowed, possession, possession areas, zones of the pitch where teams win possession, how fast after losing possession does a team win it again, how often does a team allow the opponent to enter their half etc. with and without Ronaldo/ pre-Ronaldo and with Ronaldo. The numbers are devestating both here and at Juve. More so here than at Juve, but there is no way of getting around it. We became a lot more dysfunctional as soon as Ronaldo was back in red. What is this based on?

True, the same thing that made him such a great player, is the very same thing that's so off-putting about him as a person. He's 100% on his own mission, while nobody and nothing else matters. It’s an odd one, a big part of the reason he became one of the greatest players ever was due to his ego, and selfishness.
I don’t think he truly cares about any club, it’s all about himself.
He’s a 100% a Real legend and I doubt he gives two shits about them either.
You're wrong. Dalot has improved massively and gets on well with him.+ add to that, that not one outfield player in our squad has had positive development the last 11 months, not one. His goals comes at the price of us getting worse at every aspect of the game while at the same time getting worse results.
So keep? You're wrong. Dalot has improved massively and gets on well with him.
How do you know ?You're wrong. Dalot has improved massively and gets on well with him.

Please elaborate how Dalot has improved with the entrance of Ronaldo? Other than starting games. Some stats to back it up with would be nice. You're wrong. Dalot has improved massively and gets on well with him.

And yet the majority consensus on here after signing Sancho, Varane and Ronaldo was that we would challenge for the title.Nonsense in fairness, there’s certainly an argument that he may not be the best profile of player for the current manager and his system, but let’s not pretend we weren’t awful for long spells of every season during the previous managers reign; not least the end of the season before we brought Ronaldo back and we were utter dog shit.
And yet the majority consensus on here after signing Sancho, Varane and Ronaldo was that we would challenge for the title.
Are you just fabricating fake stuff to fit your opinion here?If the alternative #9 is Tony Martial, a player who aged 23 produced similar pressing and distance covered stats per 90 minutes as a 36 year old Ronaldo for a whole year - and by the way sulked out of our beloved club just this very winter having a bad and inexplicable loan spell at a lower level club, I'll take Ronaldo's 15 guaranteed PL goals for the upcoming season. We're going to need them.
People also underestimate how much of a stubborn fecker Ten Hag is. Haller was his Eredivisie and European top scorer last season, but still got benched for the Dutch cup final at the end, simply because Ten Hag felt he wasn't playing well and it was better for the team to play another striker. He'll do the same with Ronaldo for sure if he's not good for the team, so I don't really get the mass hysteria.

It’s very surprising that a 23 year old Portoguese aspiring for the NT gets along well with the biggest national hero in modern times in Portugal, don’t you think?
