Ronaldo and Mendes are very powerful, they will undermine the team and the coach and leak any information that helps them out. The only way to hold that off is to keep winning games without him. I hope we can, but you know one bad result where they don't score, let's say they lose 1-0 to Southampton without scoring, and all the press will be "toothless United can't score without Ronaldo", irrelevant to if the team played well or not.

There will no doubt be some negotiation around it, zero chance Ronaldo pays anything though. Best we can hope for is we just rip it up and nobody pays anyone anything. All the things United and Ferguson did for him. All that for him to just come out and publicly state in an interview that he's like a slave at United...whilst we were a top 2 team in the whole world and Real Madrid had been a laughing stock for 4-5 years by then.
