Half of that abuse was directed at just 12 individuals - eight from United.
SadlySo I've not just been imagining it. The toxicity of our fanbase is backed up by the numbers.
Hardly any surprises here. We have the biggest fanbase and we are massively underperforming year after year, the outcome is inevitable. So I've not just been imagining it. The toxicity of our fanbase is backed up by the numbers.

Most likely it is, but how would we know for sure that the abuse was from our own fans? For example Maguire might have been abused after an England game by a whole host of fans.So I've not just been imagining it. The toxicity of our fanbase is backed up by the numbers.
More the size. This is why journos love a clickbait United piece or to link United to to a signing, it literally pays their bills. So I've not just been imagining it. The toxicity of our fanbase is backed up by the numbers.
Damn. Graelish and Kane must be feeling pretty crappy to make the top 10 without even playing for us.
I would say there is a part of it that is that. But I reckon the larger amount of that will be from non-United fans who simply hate United and all things connected.
I know a lad who supposedly supports Villa, but they only make up around 30% of his football outlook. Another 20% is spent worshipping City and Liverpool while a full 50% is spent actively hating United.
Even after a decade of irrelevance on the field, don't underestimate how much we live on inside the heads of opposition fans.
What on earth is Fred doing at 6th on that list?
Who doesn't like the Pastor?
I wonder if we were winning leagues how different this would look
Probably the same, if not worse. If there's one thing that unites non-United fans, it's their hatred for United.I wonder if we were winning leagues how different this would look
Not to mention the sheer size and success of United spawned a tonne of hate from other clubs. I'd be willing to bet a large number of haters just enjoy being a cnut online and don't support United.Ronaldo is the biggest star in football and United are the most followed club it isn´t really surprising at all.

I agree, Ronaldo and Bruno are not likable to any other fanbase but Harry might be on our fanbase. Not to mention the sheer size and success of United spawned a tonne of hate from other clubs. I'd be willing to bet a large number of haters just enjoy being a cnut online and don't support United.

Definitely part of it particularly where Ronaldo is concerned but there is no way Fred is up there at no 6 due to non united fans. That is all our fan base, check out his thread in here for evidence that it is our own fans.

Yeah that's a solid point on Fred.
I'm still convinced that there's Russian or bot involvement with a fair amount of that twitter abuse and in particular the racist stuff. There's obviously an idiot minority in every country, but I just struggle to believe there is still quite that many racist morons still in the UK. The Russians will target areas where they will see the most engagement and in football, that means United.
A lot of England fans hate him too. Mostly just bandwagoning really.I agree, Ronaldo and Bruno are not likable to any other fanbase but Harry might be on our fanbase.
I'd say this place is just as toxic as Twitter. How do you deflect that onto opposition fans?
Christ. Talk about head in sand

Spend a day on twitter or youtube comments and come back to me. Most hated club on planet earthI'd say this place is just as toxic as Twitter. How do you deflect that onto opposition fans?
You've not been imagining things. Our fan base is embarrassingly toxic. I wouldn't blame any player for wanting to leave after seeing the shit show the fans have become. So I've not just been imagining it. The toxicity of our fanbase is backed up by the numbers.
