Cricket

First time I've seen Prasanna Jayawardene in any depth, after people were talking about him as the best wk in the world. So far he's been turd...

I don't really know what Jimmy is doing here. You're playing for Root to get his double stop reverse sweeping and play properly.

Really happy for Root, thought they fecked him about last year by moving him too much in the order. Good start to the test calendar for him.

Jordan reminds me of that guy from Preston who used to bowl fast, just back of a length, and hit the ball a long way.

If he fixed his run-up he could easily be hitting 90mph+ every ball. He's bowling high 80s off basically an 8 pace run-up!

Was lovely to see that embrace between Sangakarra and Jayawardene, legends of the game.

Even as an England fan, totally delighted that Sanga has finally(!) got his name on the board at Lord's. Couldn't happen to a nicer bloke, genuinely.

Feel exactly the same. Cheered when he got there. I think I'm fonder of him that any other non England player.

Sangy averages 70 as a pure batsman. It's insane. Although he has taken full advantage of Bangladesh and Zimbabwe(8 centuries, 3 of which are doubles, 1 a triple) in that. But still, it's not his fault the other big names didn't. Just needs an away century for WI for the full home/away century package, an well a home century vs Australia if you want perfection.

I give up on Cook.

I thought on the second day he might have learnt his lesson, trying to attack and looking positive but its the same old shite as before. Absolutely baffling from England today so far.

Since when has Angelo Matthews turned into a quality test batsman?

His record ever since taking the captaincy has been incredible.

Now that Pradeeps ok I don't feel bad laughing at that, love a good old fashioned hit wicket.

Anyway, good work by England in the end even with the wasted 30 minutes. Now go out and thrash it around till tea and get 400 on the board.

I do like Moeen and his attitude, it's refreshing to see an England player that's not worried or afraid of things that might happen. But he really does need to just tighten his game up a fraction for Tests

I could genuinely see Sri Lanka winning. 300 runs to get in around about 65 overs, just a shade under 5 an over and neither team struggled getting that when batsmen settled.

One of those balls in that over definitely swung and Anderson is hiding the shiny side.

Could well be reversing.

This is as good as I've seen Jimmy bowl in a long time. Probably ever in fact. He looks deadly!

Cmon England. Wrap up this tail during half time.

Haven't taken the new ball yet, madness surely?

Edit: Took it 2 balls into the 80 over, weird haha.

Honestly, Alistair Cooks is so baffling. You have a new ball, you have James Anderson and you have 10 overs left. How retarded do you have to be to let Jordan (No disrespect) have another over with an old ball?
