Owais Shah's become an incredible T20 player.. why is he not in the English T20 side? Or Lumb for that matter?

Shah has kind of had his chance with the England One-Day team and England prefer to use T20 to blood younger players now like Bairstow, Hales etc. Lumb played a few T20 games too.

Don't think he's good enough to play test cricket. His technique's not good. His fielding and bowling are outstanding, though.. superbly committed cricketer.

WI could do with drawing this test.. after that battling first innings.

I disagree, I think as a batsman who can bowl he really should be good enough to be a Test cricketer. If West Indies had a proper wicket-keeper batsman and Bravo could bat at 7 that would be ideal.

I think Pollard can be a fantastic cricketer in all forms of the game, he just needs direction.

He works harder than any cricketer I know, he still turns up to Queens Park sessions so I have no doubt that he will make it as a Test player soon.

Spoke to him when he was in Dhaka for the BPL - such a genuine guy, and very easy going/friendly.

Bangladeshi players are hopeless with english and in terms of confidence - but he went out of his way to put people at ease.

I don't know what sort of career he'll have long term, but the game is definitely better off having people like him around.

Should be a terrific final session, Aussies need 131 to win from about 25 overs.

Eh?
Cricinfo saying they need 52 off 26.

Before the final session started, Sky were saying there were 26 overs left in the day. They're probably wrong.

Edit: definitely wrong, the graphic says there is still 23 overs left.

Aussies win. Valiant effort from the Windies but their dreadful start to the second innings cost them this game. Very good test match, closer than I thought it would be.

This Australian side isn't really all that good while the Windies are slowly improving as a test side so not all that surprised it was a close game. But the Aussies still have enough in the tank to see the over.

Matt Coles has started the season in fine form for Kent, definite England player in the next couple of years.

Yep, very good player.

Gayle's a fecking monster though. crazy how hard he hits the ball. most destructive batsman in the world and quite comfortably at that really.

AB needs to be batting higher up the order. It makes no sense that he only faced 14 deliveries the other night.

Yeah I found it ridiculous they brought in Tiwary ahead of him when AB's improvisation could have taken pressure off of Gayle, nearly cost them in the end.

Chanderpaul passed 10,000 runs in test match cricket today against the Australians. Fantastic achievement from an underrated player who basically carries the Windies batting lineup himself.

Narine is amazing.

Nah AB De Villiers isn't doing this to one of the best bowlers in the world, nope. No fecking way.

Mind blown. Seriously. feck. What the feck? How did he do that?

Six over cover. How the feck did he hit that?

Shot of the tournament for sure. In fact best shot I have seen for some fecking time. A lot of players would have yorked and bowled with that ball.. he dug it out to hit for a six over cover....

feck, AB De Villers, just brilliant. It seemed so easy for him to do all that, and that to hitting sixes off Steyn's bowling. Mindblowing.

AB is the fecking man. Ridiculous batsman. Took Steyn to the cleaners and that's putting it lightly. Dale fecking Steyn. Cleaners.

AB

He's been in great form the past year so it's no suprise how well he is playing but the shot at 48 seconds, how does he get the power and the timing :eek:

Is there a better striker of the length ball in cricket than Albie Morkel?

England vs South Africa is going to be a brilliant series.

Agreed. It was the same problem when the series was over here.

Chanderpaul with 6 off 52 balls, Gayle got 128 off 58 balls the other day I think.
