Cricket

Death of a Gentleman is up on netflix worldwide.

I highly, highly recommend watching it.
Finished this last night. Interesting watch. Thought not mentioning the ICL was a bit of a serious omission and that generally they were trying to brainwash me in to caring about test cricket. Also the Ed Cowan stuff I found rather odd. Interviews were good though. Giles Clarke couldn't have seemed more sinister if he tried.

Not in this match I think.

ffs

Why would you play a tried, tested and proven clown in Rohit Sharma?

The 5 bowler strategy's not looking too bright now is it.

It's the silliest strategy in world cricket. I can't remember a single team that's tried it with success with batting averages like our 7-11

Even if we survive this one, its never going to work against a team with a proper bowling attack

Wait...the stadium is called Darren Sammy stadium? wtf. They really must have been running out of options

That does sound kinda good tbf. Fair play in that case
They're naming a stand after Johnson Charles (who appears to be the second to play for them), apparently, to be fair. So you may have a point about a lack of options.

Johnson Charles stand ffs!

Starc's third 5-for this series on pitches offering nothing to the seamers.

Good score posted by SL after being 26/5.

Anyone find it a bit ridiculous that they spend 5 minutes on reviews checking whether the ball has hit the bat or not when the ball's pitched a mile outside leg. Real waste of time.

I find it annoying that they don't go straight to snicko. They just waste ages rolling the tape back and forwards to see if there's an edge before going to snicko.

SL in a good position now but need to kick on and set the target so they can bowl all day tomorrow.

No need to risk losing by declaring overnight. They should bat half an hour into tomorrow if they can. Get the lead to 350 and bowl spinners all day with attacking fields.

So Aussies whitewashed by the same side that looked amateurish themselves in England. Test cricket these days :(

It's partly down to the pitches. Teams prepare pitches to win them games on a far greater level than before

I think it's great for the game. It's better than a few years ago, where everyone was winning series all over the place. Now, at least theirs a challenge to winning a series (even grabbing a draw) away from home, and teams need to respond to it.

Pakistan have responded with a brilliant result in England (I don't think they're getting enough credit).
