Maybe. Actually, almost quite definitely - my 3 world class bowlers vs his 2. My 2 WC batsmen against his 3.

But see that video above. I went with my heart. Honestly, it was worth it.

I also believe that in tight situations, I'd rather back bowlers than batsmen
 
If there is a pitch on which the likes of Gavaskar, Ponting, Sachin and Crowe cannot survive, I don't know what will happen to the likes of Mohd Yousuf and Salim Malik when they see this :

 
Err they also are up against a batting order that has twatted the best of the best.

Gavaskar wasn't affected by the WI foursome, what makes you think he would be here?

But you're being equally unfair to Yousuf there. The man was definitely no Merv Hughes of batting. Much better.

As good as Aldo's batting is, I think ILs got the attack to deal with that over a 5 match series. Aldo's bowling's not average by a long shot and will give IL's batting a good go for their money but over a 5 match series but the 'gap' in batting is also not as big as some make it out to believe. You cannot blame someone of not preferring Kumble when the other team has Warne :p

I love Kumble and he's a legend for us and in the top 3 of his generation but I'd say Warne was a level above and I don't think many would disagree. Also, Kumble was a medium pacer for the first half of his career. :D

I'm not denying that Aldo's batting is quality. I just think my batting is capable of posting 300-350 every inning. And given my bowling, it would be difficult for Aldo's team to do that consistently. I think I'd win this series 2-1 with Aldo probably taking Sydney.

average Oz away - 37
average Eng away - 41
SA away is acceptable 32.

Generally he was way less effective away than at home. Good players, be it batsman or bowler, always perform equally well at both places.

I would say this about Warne. He failed his biggest test in career. It is all well and good terrorizing English and South African batsmen. But against best players of spin, Indian batsmen, he failed big time. If Murali did not have the stigma of a suspect action, he would most definitely be rated better than him IMO.
