i think donaldo's team shades it for me with marshall, roberts and hadlee along with Lara, Dravid. An amazing test line-up

Nope, I always trailed. I levelled briefly. But, I was just being sore there. Probably a bit more since it was such a last minute recovery to level up.
I think Donaldo wins the tie breaker so I'm effectively three votes down and working till the end of the draft.

It's tougher than I expected I'm afraid i'll have to go for Donaldo. There's no real weakness except for the lack of spinner.
One thing nobody's noticed is NM's wicketkeeper who's also his opener. Stewart's not a quality keeper for me...and especially against a batting line-up like Donaldo's where you can't afford a let-off, that's a major weakness.

Well and truly over then. If I was Donaldo, I would take Imran. He's been the est player in the draft for me. Provides incredible balance. Alternately, he really needs a middle order bat too. Miandad/Chappell would be great.. Drop Cronje. He is terrible...
Also - there are weaknesses there. Aravinda, Cronje, Dujon is pretty darn weak in the context of the draft.
If Donaldo wins, I guess he'll be taking Imran and dropping Cronje. That'll make for a fantastic bowling in Marshall-Hadlee-Roberts and Imran but the lack of a quality spinner may tell especially especially against Warne. It should be close though.

Marshall - Hadlee - Roberts - Imran
vs Bishop - Mcgrath -Lille/Akram should be a blood bath plus Donaldo will bat deeper and have a 5th bowler in Vettorri.
The real question is if his batting will stack up against Gavaskar, Sachin and Ponting. I'd very tempted to just take Vivs if I was Aldo and play a batting vs bowling final.
You're confusing King Viv, the emperor of cool for the pretty girl from New York who posts on this forum. Admittedly an easy mistake to make.
Both Bishop and Hughes in Aldo's bowling line-up would make it look really weak. He can take Akram-McGrath-Bishop-Warne proudly up against Marshall-Hadlee-Roberts-Imran-Vettori. It will still be a shade weaker in my opinion but his batting will be stronger to make up for that. It'll be a close final.
