Basingstoke.
I've got an appointment on 4 june and my son on 9 June. No problem booking at all.
They've been open during the 'lockdown' for emergency work as well, so the receptionist said.
You're delusional. We got lucky with this virus. It's not that bad. What would your doom and gloom be like if we actually had a serious virus like the spanish flu or small pox? No disrespect to those that caught this virus, but in relative terms this virus was nothing compared to what we have experienced in the past.
Flip meThe virus itself wasn't bad. It was the subsequent panic and overreaction that was the problem.
So that makes it okay then? Who cares about the over 80s."Italy’s alarming number of deaths fanned many of the early fears across the world, but by March 17 it was clear that the median age of Italian deaths was over 80 and that not a single person under 30 had died in that country. Furthermore, it was known that 99% of those who died had other existing illnesses"

I wouldn't call it a farce, I'd say it's what we have as the only available option when everything is taken into consideration. It's not like positions aren't going to count. Norwich and whoever else in the bottom three at the end will get relegated. If there's European football next season, teams will qualify via the top six etc.
So how does it work with this new track and trace system?
Based on that if one player gets it the whole team would have to isolate for 14 days or do footballers have special rules?
So your telling me the whole thing is a shambles.Who knows? I don't even know and I'm a police officer. What do key workers do? Whole teams will be wiped out. Nothings been communicated down.

Go figure
You’re missing my point that sports people are supposedly more at risk, then chuck on top undetected health issues.Undetected heart issues don't need a virus to suddenly kill players anyway, we've seen that. So again, the coronavirus isn't really your issue here.
How?
They've pumped billions into the economy to help furloughed staff and for companies.

Whats the alternative though? The track and trace system is obvisouly the way to go, yes there are some complications but that is inevitable in these unprecedented times. They are just rolling it out now so hopefully it will become more clear in the coming days, although I agree communication by the government throughout the pandemic has been lacking.

I was more interested how it effects this football calendar.Whats the alternative though? Sure, and ignore the countless doctors and epidemiologists arguing the exact opposite. But they're opinion isn't valid, right? Since it goes against the doom and gloom narrative.
The whole team and presumably at least one of the other teams they have played. Then the whole thing folds like a house of cards.I was more interested how it effects this football calendar.
A team is playing 2 games a week, if one person tests positive the whole team should isolate for 14 days. Thats 4 games.
They must be getting special treatment in regards to this.
Thats what you'd assume, but id be willing to bet once the next round of results come in and there is positives that team wont isolate. The whole team and presumably at least one of the other teams they have played. Then the whole thing folds like a house of cards.
Is there any update on the FA Cup, Europe League and Champions League? If the league can return so can the cup, surely. As for the Europa and Champions League, it will be harder. But they need to be played out too
Explain to me the millions of people who have lost their jobs, the uptick in suicides, increased domestic violence cases, missed cancer diagnoses, and the countless amount of children who will starve globally because of broken supply chains.Try explaining that to the families of the 350k people claimed by covid.
And why are you speaking in the past tense? The coronavirus is still very much with us, and even if it does clear up, there is a good chance of it returning.
@Pexbo looks like you lost the bet!

Explain to me why Sweden is doing so well, and why states in the US who opened up weeks ago aren't burning to the ground and have moved on with their lives.
Why has Norway's health minister said the lockdown was pointless? https://www.spectator.co.uk/article/norway-health-chief-lockdown-was-not-needed-to-tame-covid
Are the very real concerns of these 6 physicians to be ignored? https://archive.is/Sa1KL
May 26th data from the CDC for probability of death:
This is only a fraction of the information available online. Feel free to do your own research, it's quite revealing. The lockdowns were a mistake.

Totally off topic btw but how many hundreds of thousands of suicides were there due to the lockdown?
If you're not willing to even read the abundant evidence showing how destructive and pointless the lockdown was, then there's no point discussing it with you.
You'd probably have to look at excess suicides to make an educated guess. Excess deaths is used quite a lot to get accurate numbers for Covid-related deaths.

If someone is saying there is an uptake in suicides then you better provide some proof for such a glib comment

So the figure would be even lower again?
