What? I’m calling them idiots because they’re replying “what the feck how is a defender supposed to get the ball of the attacker” or “Jesus no tacking in matches now what a farce” when it clearly says training, not their “natural reaction to rules”.
To answer your latter point it’s because players would be tested before every match day. Big difference if you know everyone on the field you’re with doesn’t have the virus.

That money's made up of numerous things, but the bulk of it is from tv broadcasting rights. Last season Man City won the league & earned £151 million. However runners-up Liverpool made £152 million based on being on the box more than City

That's ridiculous. The R rate has apparently gone up to 1, which is still manageable. New cases are below 1000 as well and active cases continue to drop. Although it is true that the rate of decline of new cases has slowed down in the last week. Let's see how things develop.
Nothing to panic about as of yet though.
Surely it's due to training restarting before games restart, hence the testing will commence around the time games are meant to be starting, hence they'd then be able to be in close contact due to being clear of the virus.
So the assumption is, by the time the actual games commence, there wouldn't be any threat due to close contact and social distancing rules should have been withdrawn by the govt.

Depending on the source you use, the R value is currently at 0.94 (Robert Koch Institute) or 0.82 (Helmholtz Centre) or 0.42 (University of Ilmenau) which tells me we shouldn't probably be looking too closely at it on a daily basis if they differ that much.

No its the fact the players will all have been rigurously tested by the time they step onto the pitch. You can't catch the virus off of someone that hasn't got it.

Incredibly it appears there are people that seemingly cannot process this in their heads.
Decided today that Austrian football starts up again end of this month.
What is not realized by most is for atleast a month players were playing with the virus growing in this country and the weekend before the suspension they played with full crowds in uncontrolled environments with the country's R around or above 3 and even then only Arteta and Hudson Odoi AFAIK tested positive both of whom wouldn't have even known without the test.
If/when the season resumes they will be infinity times safer than they were the previous time they kicked a ball in the PL and possibly safer than they've been while playing for months if theory's about this virus being around since November are accurate.
So the assumption is that test results will return so quickly that none of the players will have contracted the virus since being tested? How fast are those tests?

Think they are getting tested every 48 hours so at most there would be a 48 hour window in which they could pick up the virus. You'd expect they'll be isolated with just their team mates in the meantime though.
And the icing on the cake is SF and DUP agreeing

I am looking forward to football again. Unlike a lot of people in this thread is seems. Should be fun to watch even if it will not be fully the same.
Still, they have some point. It is said that it will be testing in training aswell. So they would be sure that no player have virus when group training starts. Right? This is only more of "look, we can fix it"-talk without any meaning.
But aren't they tested before they start training in group? There would be 50000 octodecillion tests every second. It just don't make sense.

Fixture space could mean you have no need for relegation this time, for instance. You could therefore have some promotion playoffs and a Sky TV BCD Neutral Grounds Cup or something, then a break, then into a European-less next year.
OK, my terrible idea can be criticised in 100s of ways probably but at least it's based in being fair/generous to as many teams as possible, is based in reality and not pretending everything goes back to normal soon, we just need to ram as much Premier League labelled but meaningless footy back on to the TV screens ASAP for as much ££££ as possible.
If 'this season' returns and you're excited/interested, I think you must be either a bit strange/dim/obsessed or too young to know better or a bit of a bellend Liverpool supporter who cares about not much else.

Everyone would love to watch football again. But not some artificial project. And if it can't be done in right way then stop it. How hard is to take decision to stop the League, declare Liveprool winners, try to fix standings in all leagues under Premier League and move on by planing how next season will be played.
You are aware that it isn't only Permier League that have to be fixed but also EFL? You are aware that there is FA cup still going on? European games with all quarantine rules? How can it be finished before August/September? Problem with contracts? Sponsors? Lot of problems.
