Could they void the PL due to the Coronavirus? | No | Resuming June 17th

Yeah what we need is dozens of police at the stadium to handle them all

the objective wouldn’t be to have dozens of police at all. In fact the opposite.

The Government would pass a law saying people who show up at a game get a custodial sentence. The objective of that would be to act as a major deterrent to people showing up and therefore reducing the need for dozens of police.

Granted you would still get some who would but you can’t account for stupid

For me personally it's not about our potential league win being overshadowed, it's more to do with the fact that many on here actually believed the season would be null & voided, thus depriving us of the title. Had it not been for that then most Liverpool fans would have been deflated at not being able to celebrate the way we'd have envisaged. But as it stands, the past couple of months we've had opposition fans, not just on here, becoming sexually aroused at the prospect of a virus stopping our first title win in 30 years. So if we do eventually get to be crowned champions our joy will be rejuvenated thanks to people like you, & many others.

I'll be raising a glass of champagne in your honour.

Cheers.

It's not quite 27,000 Utd fans on the pitch at Wimbledon in '93 is it mate.

Enjoy your champagne in your front room, christ.

One to tell the grandkids.

You knew which way this thread was heading right from the first page when one of the regulars on here stated that so long as none of his family were affected he'd happily accept a few deaths if it meant the season could be cancelled. & apparently we were/are the selfish ones for wanting the season to be completed.

No doubt the call for the scouse cull will soon begin in earnest. Been nice knowing you mate. Stay safe.
Well from what I've seen lately of you horrible lot, maybe only Klopper deserves to stay here anyway? Maybe I'm wrong.

And what kind of person/liverpool* fan would want to post and argue very regularly on a MANCHESTER UNITED forum anyway? That says everything about the psychology of most opposition fans on here, especially the *L*i*v*e*r*p*o*o*l* fans.

I'll be sad when you are banned, as it will show that the 'integrity' of the site has been lost forever..

It'll still be a massive after thought in the scheme of things. I mean, world crisis / Liverpool title win. Not going to be remembered for the latter is it.

But either way, maybe go and celebrate with, I don't know your pals on Liverpool forums?!

Can someone summarise whats happened today?

Why are liverpool celebrating a league title?

I think a couple have shown good capacity to debate in a non annoying, WUM, non gloating dignified way.
Probs @Finn MacCool and maybe someone else, whose name I've honestly forgotten for now.

But the rest? Need to be shipped right off

So if it's not an official statement from LFC why are you slagging off the club ? :wenger:

I said everyone associated with Liverpool, that includes their mouthpiece of a newspaper. the picture was of the Echo - that was pretty bloody clear.

The way Liverpool FC have conducted themselves has been incredibly poor throughout this mess - add ok all the ex players and newspapers aimed at their fans and it’s very clear the whole community has no sense of what’s right.

“Some people think football is a matter of life and death. I assure you, it's much more serious than that” - never been more true for this lot.

I've long wondered why rival fans spend so much time on here, but I'm told their websites are crap in comparison. So we take it as a compliment really.

Just personally I couldn't imagine hanging about on a Liverpool forum so often under any circumstance.

Most forums don't have too many opposition fans on board so they become boring echo chambers where everyone pretty much thinks the same way. I love the challenge that posting on a big United forum brings. I don't really care about Manchester United Football Club per se, but seeing as we've been historical rivals for all of my life I am interested what their fans think & say about our club. Besides, I'd say that in terms of success both our clubs are way ahead of anyone else in this country. Our intense rivalry has a lot to do with that.

I enjoyed the 300 pages of mental gymnastics nonetheless. Hope being the killer again obviously, even though it was never in doubt.

I doubt even today’s update will stop some people from banging the void drum.

Are these the type of posts that we'll be seeing shortly from most of the Liverpool* fans here?!

They are already now being smug and insulting to United supporters - what will be their attitude when they're gifted* the League if they've already started on these notes/posts?!

Can they start being culled please??

Perhaps you could elucidate with a few examples please.

Yes, but there must be a limit to how many are allowed and the level of smugness soon to be spewed from them will be unbearable for some members.

I always said that they are here (oh yes to discuss!! as if) dressed as wolves in sheeps clothing.

For example: There are three/four of them who have taken over this thread and we can't discuss between us United fans '' could-they-void-the-pl-due-to-the-coronavirus''.

Ha, ha don't you worry about us pal there'll be plenty of celebrating going on throughout the summer. Just like last summer in fact. You can at least get to watch your old dvd's back in the day when you used to celebrate such things.

Furlough, playing the game against aleti and then having your manager blame the defeat on Corona to name two.

add in the open letter to the Mayor, and King Kenny telling everyone it would be “totally out of order” and “unfair” for Liverpool not to be allowed to win the league.

Tone deaf, insular, and typical of what we have come to expect from Liverpool over the last decade.

The smugness runs both ways kidda. I'd call it banter. If people can give it out but not take it then fair enough, call out long & hard for the banning stick.

If that happens, then at least you will be able to throw away your Betamax player

Can't speak for anyone else but for me it's more the football and entertainment sections, there's a bigger variety of supporters around Europe than there is on forums actually created for all supporters.

I think I've only actually commented in the United specific section of this forum about 20 times in nearly four years, if that.

https://www.independent.co.uk/sport...atest-sporting-merit-relegation-a9508601.html

Newspaper reports saying that PL teams have been told the league will be decided by way of sporting integrity if it can't be completed.
Very good. At least they will be having a consistent decision all the way down the pyramid.

Ive been arguing quite a bit in this thread with liverpool fans saying they'll get the title even if no relegation.

Consistency was essential, no matter the decision.

Legal minefield. We'll all sue Niall for culling us when we hadn't mathematically won it*.

*Only kidding Niall.

Will the PL teams bar Liverpool be fine resuming the league on 1 June and then entering next season without a preseason or preparation ? And how are they going to deal with Summer market ?

This season is fecked up. Just move on.

As a last request when the time comes is it possible we can all be culled together. Also if it’s possible I wouldn’t mind steak, chips and ice cream delivered to my profile. And please no big speeches, I’m welling up already. Don’t forget to write...

 You are spot on. It would be like being forced to stay within a mad house full of complete nutters.

Why aren't these Liverpool cnuts banned on here?

Gloating about their title win on a United forum. This should be a safe haven from those cockwarts.

Seeing conflicting reports that broadcasters arent having bcd games? Demanding fans? Thatl never work

But, for first time, PL discussed season ending early. Understand broadcasters have told PL they want a rebate even if games played behind closed doors.

But, for first time, PL discussed season ending early.

As i suspected they've been wasting time and kicking the can down the road hoping for a miracle. That conversation should have taken place in late March or early April.
