I saw her in a local shop the other day. She's really short. I feel a bit sorry for the actress because a year or two ago, she was playing a likable, fun character, then she becomes the most disliked person on the soap - primarily beaucse the affair storyline took up so much screen time and was interminably dull. Now she loses her job.
I've also seen the thing Tumbling Dice mentioned. An old BBC tv movie called Nature Boy.
I also like the fact that they didn't feature Ashley in the live episode. All they did was confirm he had died. It was quite well known he was not happy about his character being killed off and losing his cushy job. It would have been funny if he'd have had a final scene scripted in last night's episode and changed the lines; "I feel alright. Reckon I'll pull through. Open the shop Graeme, I'll be in in twenty minutes."

The more I think about it the more I think it was to do with the crash on the motorway and it was to fill that part of the story out.
At the beginning of the week, when the Joinery Bar blew up, there was a car passing at the exact time. Think they were refering to that car....
