Cop in America doing a bad job, again

Another argument for the implementation of national standards of policing and the obligation of succeeding a nationally recognized curriculum at one national police academy.

De-escalation techniques and aikido (a.k.a. the art of defending oneself while also protecting one's attackers from injury) should also be among the courses that count for most credits in the curriculum.

Aikido won't work, trust me. But pedagogic techniques are actually very effective and solve the majority of the problems police officers find.

this is what you end up happening when people don't worry about cops doing their job

Been to multiple WMCs on South Beach the same time each spring, never saw such scenes. The mindset of those people is surreal, 'Lord of the Flies' shit. Basically primordial. Cops don't stand much of a chance.

Uhm... I think we can all agree there is some ground between doing nothing and having carte blanche to beat the shit out of and/or kill (predominantly black) people. Right? This thread is not promoting anarchy, it's highlighting the absolute barbarity and violence that has permeated the LEO community in this country.

i've only seen something like that one other time actually in person....some scary shit really as you don't know if you'll get dragged into it or not as most of them just don't give a damn who they fuk up

In my experience most of the police top brass (captains and above) are in their ranks by fecking over people be it their peers or subordinates. So good on the officer going through with his duties and feck the captain.

Hard to be "for the troops" at those ranks or the equivalent ranks down here in Australia - Senior Sergeant, Inspector, Superintendent and above. They seem to mostly be ambitious rung-climbers and company men.

I don’t necessarily think it’s hard, but like you said it’s the ambitious power/prestige-hungry types that promote so high. They’re just politicians with guns.

Oh look, dude owning gun collides with gun happy police and he dies. Thoughts and prayers gun owning mother fecker, thoughts and prayers.

It was his God given, second amendment, right to die by gunshots. Surrounded by his heavenly guns. He literally lived the American dream.

I don't agree with the death penalty, but sick cnuts like this deserve to spend their lives locked up and in as much misery as possible.

They inflict more longer lasting pain than a murderer. Vile scum of the lowest order.
Speaking of the death penalty.

Sick shit. The death penalty is an abomination, but at the rate we’re going it will become the de facto punishment for any felony.

I agree with you with the sentiment of the punishment that he deserves but because is worse than death penalty. Why you dont agree with death penalty but a life locked up being as miserable as possible?

Because nobody has the right to take another's life. The minute we take someone's life is the minute we become as bad as they are.

Society has to be better.

I won’t answer for @langster , but for me it is because the government should never be empowered to take the lives of its own citizens. Like, ever. No life should ever be forfeit.

edit: what @langster said

So society is better if it makes another life miserable for 40 years without possibility and hope to end it (and even torture) that ending someones life swiftly?

I would rather to be killed on my 30s than live from my 30s to my 80s locked up and "in as much misery as possibly"

And i think any of us

The worst punishment is not death IMO

Again, im with you on the punishment that they deserve. But if for you taking their life it says that we are as bad as the., making them suffer for a long timw, would say even worse than death penalty
