Cop in America doing a bad job, again

I guess this kind of belongs in here although it's more a problem of systemic racism in general but Black Panther and Creed director Ryan Coogler has guns pulled on him by the police for trying to draw out money from his own bank account...

Madness.

Oof, BoA is going to be losing some clients.

Thought this might have been here by now.

Bad enough that a group of officers murdered a guy over a blood sample. Hope they all get long prison terms. The AG who suppressed it for two years should get prison time, too. Scumbags all around.

Is there any law on not being able to hold a phone? It just seems crazy to me. They know it's being recorded so where this will end up, look like idiots repeating the same thing over and over and then attack him for no reason.

Odds they actually get punished for it? They should be in jail for it but even being sacked or fined? What do you reckon?

Trade, no but all are welcome here.

I’ve tried but the wife is a hard no. After 2 years in WI the thought of another northern winter is a no go. It’s why I am sitting in an airport right now on my way to look at houses in NC. We outta here!

Toronto winters aren't usually too bad. I'm sure WI is worse simply because it's more likely to be influenced by that nasty continental climate that I grew up in. We get a few weeks of sort of cold weather and usually the rest is fine*.

Except for this year. I woke up to snow this morning.

same, we got an inch 2 nights ago. We were mocked as last Monday it was 70 and sunny. Every day since has been around freezing with alternating sleet and snow.

Vancouver mate. rearly goes lower than -1/-2 celsius. And it is gorgeous

Been there and loved it.

two problems though: the cost of housing and all our family is in NC and GA.
Yup, housing is insane. Hope my gf bails me out with her early buy years ago, or renting is the only option

Fat cowards. Why are they drawing guns at what looks like a traffic stop?

Thats set up as a felony stop/high risk stop. Ordering out, walking them back etc. it’s done for things like stolen vehicles, violent crimes, weapons charges etc. Don’t know what the specific call would have been in this instance, but the way it’s set up, the location of the patrol car etc suggests it’s more than just a traffic stop for an infraction of some sort.

edit: looks like prior firearm charges and warrants for domestic violence.

That's fair but don't they usually mention it when there's a warrant? A little more clarity into why the guns are drawn can de-escalate the situation (and render the video pointless).
