Cop in America doing a bad job, again

When is it going to stop? Either it is intent to kill black people or its just plain cowardice. I feel it’s a little of both. If someone knows there is going to be no punishment involved and they have a preconceived notion that all blacks are criminals then it looks to be dangerously close to being intent to kill.
Either that or they are just poorly trained, scared, and inept and will shoot at anything with the same notions that all blacks are criminals. It has to stop

A little bit of each of those mixed in with power hungry and them being enabled also lack of consequence.

Lack of accountability as well. They know even if they commit frauds, perjury or murder, their superiors and colleagues, the prosecutors, the judges will have their back.

They're shouting through a window...

I mean, just as a for instance, say that person is hearing impaired?

Or just baffled as to wtf is going on, considering they're in their own home minding their own business and seemingly just forgot to close the door.

That poor fecking neighbor too, calls a non emergency line out of concern and it leads to this poor woman being murdered by a trigger happy cop.

Honestly, you'd carry the guilt over that for the rest of your life - even though he did nothing wrong.

Body cams and everyone having a cell phone is starting to at least shine more light on what happened. When those things didn't exist it was easier to brush things under the rug and create the desired narrative.

This is going to be exceptionally hard to not get him on. He gave this woman no chance. In her own house, through the window. There is no excuse.

If someone came up on my bedroom window at night shining a flashlight id panic and look crazy too. Its the officers job to know that and not shoot.

You’re right. It’s not that things are getting worse, or we’re in some crisis (or any more so than in the past). It’s the availability of cellphone videos and bodycams that are bringing every police incident to light, along with the sensationalism that results, rightly or wrongly. The Dallas girl got sentenced and this one doesn’t look good for the officer too. I’m interested in what the full investigation reveals and what his justification was with the “perceived threat”. hopefully he’s held accountable if found guilty/out of policy.

On another note, off topic, this is why even as a PO I’m against gun ownership. These tragedies will continue to happen with people armed in this country.

I bet a lot of black people would prefer to own a gun rather than depending on cops to come to their aid.

What is wrong with these cops

Just out of curiosity for the official line, what's the policy on firing through a damn window?

The window is irrelevant. Not speaking specifically to this incident, but if someone has a gun and you can articulate that the person was acting in a threatening manner with it, and is capable of hurting you (window is no protection), then you are justified to use deadly force.

He’ll get off. He can claim he was in danger, or something like that.
Very possible. The video isn’t very clear to what the officer actually saw or perceived. But some of the obvious critiques from my perspective as a peer is that he didn’t announce and ID himself as a police officer. If it was a non emergency welfare check, the officers should have knocked on the front door and id themselves and ask if everything’s okay. That should have all been done first before sneaking to the side or back to see if there’s foul play.

Ok. Well in this case he very clearly didn't do anything of the sort.

He didn't identify himself as a police officer and he didn't even finish screaming his "instructions" to show her hands before he murdered her.

Can black people now shoot police officers and cite the same thing? Surely there's plenty of examples now why, i.e. "I'm black, he's white and he is a police officer with his hand on his gun. I was 90% sure he was going to shoot me first".

They'd never get the opportunity to make that defense, another cop would have shot them dead first.

Good luck with that.
The black panthers were formed against a background of cops shooting black folks. Sadly not much has changed. It would be interesting to see the relative numbers though, from then to now. Population growth accounted for.

They can

But what comes next wont be pretty. If you shot a cop rightfully (at least according to the law) you're still going to get fecked, if not by the court than it'll be street justice from the coppers

I believe that large elements of the Force in America have been corrupted by a white supremacist group of some sort in an almost secret society type fashion.

Not all cops are like that of course - but it's blatantly obvious at this point that there is some sort of internal corruption that's happened to their Force - 12 year old kids being shot at point blank range etc, innocent unarmed, respectable people shot on purpose without need or warning - all cases being dropped against the officers.

In all honesty, it's bordering on a holocaust type authoritarian violence.

Policing in America is line of work where MMAeathead ammosexuals are able to act out their biggest fantasy & be legally untouchable, be it committing simple battery to committing murder.

It’s not even a secret, there’s an exposed Facebook group of 6500+ CBP officers talking about shooting PoC and liberal politicians.

just an absolute shithole country

How do you even sort out a police force where the culture seems to be like this? Do you burn everything to the ground (metaphorically, guys, before anyone accuses me of being a hypocritical libtard) and start over?

I think the federal government need to take over the police force. It has got to start from there.

I wonder if cops need to adhere quotas. They alluded to stats-juking in The Wire.

Yeah I guess if they're told to meet this and that number they "have" to come up with creative methods sooner or later.

It's literally from The Wire, the scene where the cops set up the guy on his bike by giving him cash to go and pick up drugs from the dealer for them and then bust him for dealing.

Nah, same is going on in Germany.
WE got terrorists in prison WHO were recruited by undercover agents. The very same agents supplied them with Material to build a bomb and encouraged them to Plan an Attack.
It probably happens in a lot of Western countries, because FBI is spreading this "knowledge" to other countries as well.
WE are not safe here from such stupidity.
