Conor McGregor thread.

In the early part of his career when he showed that determination and belief you couldnt not warm to him. Now he is just a scumbag. What a waste.

Hopefully he starts to fade into obscurity soon; not just for his 'fans' but himself.

Eh... I still thought he was a wanker then, so not sure about "impossible not to like him". Since then he's shown himself to be a complete fecking scumbag and worse than I could even have imagined.

Speaking to The Mirror, the friend (also unnamed) said: "He was having his pint when McGregor came in and offered everyone a drink of his whiskey. A few had it but this man doesn't drink shorts at all.

"However, Conor insisted he take it and when he refused a second time McGregor wasn't impressed. Next thing he punched him in the side of the face.

"He didn't feel the pain of it at the time but the next day he was in bits. It was a proper hard hit. His face was very sore. He was very shaken by the whole thing and didn't leave his house for days.

"At the end of the day he doesn't want an apology or any money, he just wants justice for what happened to him.

"He didn't even realise McGregor was in the pub until he was standing up beside him. Everyone in the pub was shocked by what had happened and couldn't believe it."

What’s he doing cruising around pubs in Crumlin and Drimnagh anyway? I know he’s from around there but you’d think with all the money he’d have better things to be doing with himself.

Possible he has CTE. Got punched in the head so much against Mayweather it can’t of helped. Look at what happened to Jermain Taylor who was once known as one of the nicest blokes in boxing.

I actually heard about this incident shortly after it happened. Im not from Dublin and currently live in Canada. Why did it take so long for the press to release it. This happened back in April. Strange.

€€€.

The fact TMZ were the ones to release it - and it didn’t go viral on Twitter/Facebook first - tells you all you need to know.

What was the reason r significance for included 2 gangland victims in the tweet?

Don’t really know, beyond “your kids will end up like them” sort of threat. Chap is a scumbag.

Yeah, no. It was actually pretty easy. He's always been a classless prick. Money or skill doesn't change any of that.

No surprise. It's not like he's just gonna stop being a scumbag.

Have hated the fecker since day 1. Complete cnut. He marketed himself impressively throughout his career and I think people over-respected him for that and felt like it didn't mean he was still a bad egg.

In any case, my hometown has a proper fighting Irish ledge in one Katie Taylor
