I wonder how will one survive the night. Deserts generally get cold at night and you don't have anything to start a fire with. And being naked won't really help your cause.

I atleast tried to save both the important things that is map and myself from bleeding.
Where as laim accepted he will wander in the middle of desert in one direction (where obviously the nearest civilisation wont be since nearest civilisation can only be reached by following the map)so he obviously will run out of water and die

What about Cactus?
Your answer about walking through the night won't really work because the temp during the nights even falls in to the minus zone. That's freezing. Don't think walking would be possible. It will be equally difficult walking during the night as it would be during the day. You could die of hypothermia.
How cold does it get in the desert at night? Minus (assuming Celcius) is not enough for hypothermia. I've walked for hours in a t-shirt in -10 weather (Canada, eh?). Unless we're talking -15 to -20 range there's no significant health risk. Of course he's also bleeding to death so that wouldn't help, but just because the temperature is below freezing doesn't mean its life-threatening conditions.

Fair enough. But especially if he's walking, that's a comfortable temperature. No way will you get hypothermia. You won't even get frostbite.
Well, i am guessing that when the body loses heat and it isn't able to recover it, hypothermia should start to set in coupling with the fact that you are naked, no nearby heat source and the weather in minus degrees. I could be wrong though.

Human body is its own heat source. Quite an efficient one actually. Physical activity (walking) increases the heat output. Trust me mate, there's no way nighttime desert temperatures would pose a significant health risk on their own.
Temperature for Egypt at night time is between 0C and 18C.

Well, the map had to go on the leg in most peoples solution so reading it at night isn't much of an option, that said as long as the moon is out and the writing isn't that faint, you could probably make most of it out.
Losing your bearings would be more of an issue, granted.

Another option for transferring the map to something...in your example say the skin pouch.....would be to use some of your own blood from you wound.
Myself never having painted with blood, I am not sure how long it would last. But if you have ever tried to get a blood stain out of some clothes, you know that can be difficult.
Am I completely off base with this or does this seem a valid option for transferring the map info?

Edit: too late. The blood would obviously dry and flake off if you moved but hopefully you'd memorise it before it did so. Anyway it's better than sitting in a swimming pool with your family for 28 days.

It's upto AdZz to determine who he thought won that round, although I'd say there were major holes in both plans. Liam's was a good guide on how to die in the desert mind, to join his how to die in a zombie invasion guide too.
I'm sorry Laim, though both answers were flawed, thebest won for me.

Do you think there's money to be made from this?
Besides, my plan was better than his, to walk through the night, for multiple reasons. Also to walk constantly in the same direction, to make sure I'm not just going round in circles.
Remember, it will still come down to a voting process, but these rounds give a rough indication as to who has won. It's not just about the answers for each question, as we saw with the last game, mental obliteration is always happening.

Right, this is a fairly basic plan, but here it is:
Right, first of all, you need to know which direction you're facing, so you know where you're going.
You could make the assumption that you're in the middle of the desert*, thus giving yourself the best chance of cutting down travel time by going in the 'wrong' direction. When you know the fastest way out, watch which way the sun's going. That way you can wrap your knee up in the cloth.
Say that if you travelled east by being in the centre of the desert, you'd get to civilisation faster than travelling any other direction, you'd watch which way the sun sets, and set off eastwards.
*Why assume I'm in the middle of the desert? Because it appears I've been kidnapped, if kidnappers were out to get me by taking my clothes and dumping me in the desert, it's likely they'd stick me as far away from the edge as possible.
I'll try help explain what I'd do with this picture:
Of course there are other issues I'd face, such as sandstorms, and nightfall.
The sand would be hard to fight against, as there'd be no mask or anything for me to use. I could probably take the cloth off, to face away from the storm, and put that over my face. Futile it may be, but it's the best I'd have.
At night, the priority is to keep warm. The best way of doing that is in an animal's skin. That would be tricky to obtain, but I assume there are animals in the desert who have died, and not yet been eaten. That would be my best option, but if it wasn't available to me, I'd possibly have to try kill something. How, I have no idea, and it'd probably kill me, but again, it'd be my only choice.
In fact, my best chance in terms of travelling, might be to travel at night. I'd be vigilant of the wild, and wouldn't be dying of dehydration, and movement alone would, although slightly, warm me up. In that case I'd probably try find any shaded area to sleep through the day.
So there, fairly basic, and not perfect, but it's what I've got.
Where Liam went wrong:
- Assuming you are in the middle of the desert? Why? Read the question, you have enough water to get to civilization. You are also told you have 'little water', combine the two, you know already that there is enough water to get to civlization, which isn't far away. Starting in the middle of the map has probably just killed you already. You've also not determined a direction, but just said to follow the sun. Okay.
- Don't assume random things. Your kidnappers also took your clothes. Did you assume they also raped you? They left you a bit of water and given you a map, what sense does it make for them to put you in the middle?
- Bad map
- Removing the cloth to face sandstorms will lead to infection, which will immobalize and kill you.
- Animals skin - I am intrigued as to what you think the desert is....Some kind of open burial ground from animals? Good luck with your animal skin. Killing an animal is just ridiculous. Do you expect one to walk over to you, and then bludgeon itself against a rock to death? No? Then how are you going to capture it considering your injury and lack of food and water? What will you kill it with? Bad guides?
- Travel at night - Temperature, lack of direction and vision, also means you've rested during the day, but you haven't outlined a plan to find shade or anything, but just said you'd find some shade somehow.
- Failure to understand the signifance of the map. At least TB had some sort of semi-idea on how to follow the map, it wouldn't be realistic but the point is you need to ingrain that in your mind. Thinking you are in the middle of the desert means you have already died, and completely lost focus on the map and where you are going.
