Television Community (NBC)

No chance of a fourth season on NBC at least but I wouldn't be surprised if they changed networks, although that probably won't happen. Shame really.

All of season 3 will be shown, atm Community isnt on NBC's mid-season schedule, but all the episodes will be shown, as some of the shows shown will likely get canned/or in spring/summer.

Season 4 of Community could either get picked up by NBC or another network, Sony produces Community, and most likely will want to get the show into get syndication (which is around 90-100 episodes, which would require another season). Sony has previously sold a show to a network cheaply to get into syndication ('Til death).
 
I swear I've heard round the net/from people that season 3 takes a massive drop in quality in comparison to the previous two... but I'm four episodes into Season 3 now and I've experienced no such drop so far! Still fantastic television in my book.

I am one of those people who think it has gone downhill this season. Some of the episodes have been pretty horrible in my opinion. It was previously one of my favorite shows as the cast works really well together.
 
Someone at work recommended this to me recently and gave me the first season dvd set, I watched that and thought it was pretty awesome so making my way through season 2 now. Excellent show.
 
Amazing show, unfortunately it will be replaced by 30 rock in January. Does anyone know when they'll show the rest of the season?
 
30 Rock is a much better show to be fair. I like Community, and I think it's got some great writing, but it turns into a prarody of itself (and half the things it's trying to parody) about 2/3rds of the way through every episode.

"Oh OK, so the gang embarrass Jeff, Jeff acts selfish, but then he comes to realise that his friends make him who he is, so he sticks up for them/comes to their aide in the end, because what he really needs and values in his life is..Community"

I'd definitely agree that season 3's dropped off, though it would be a tough order to match season 2 anyway. If Community does come back sometime in 2012, hopefully the break will give the writers and producers a bit more space to improve things back to the way they were.

I've watched every episode of 30 Rock only because of Jack and Liz. The rest of the characters are pathetic, nonsensical and cringe worthy, especially Tracy Jordan. If Jack or Liz are not in the scene, most of the time I'll just fast forward. The thing is, while it's entertaining, I've never laughed out loud like I have with Community.

Also, not every episode is like what you've described, especially not the 3rd season where Jeff is quite marginalised compared to the previous 2. Actually 30 Rock is even more formulaic than Community: Liz has a personal problem and goes to Jack for a solution, while Tracy does stupid things. I'll most probably not watch the new season, that's how bad the last season was in my opinion.
 
I don't think this season's had the quality drop off, if anything it's been a step up from season 2. Christmas episode was fantastic.
 
I agree about Tracy Jordan. Bizarrely one note character that seems to be being acted by an actual retard.

I've read that they heavily promote a show called Whitney, which apparently is really bad. On imdb its rating is 4.5/10 and when the members of imdb think that a show is bad then it must garbage. Normally it's being shown after Community, and if it's really as bad as people say then the only logical thing to do is pull that off the air and put Community back on. However, in the country where Arrested Development was cancelled, you can't bet on logic.

Whitney is essentially a stand up routine put into a show. Half the time the lines even come out like they're being read on stage(which technically they are, but you know what I mean). I can't remember the last time I saw anything for an episode of Community. It's a lot like Scrubs. Once they decided it wasn't going to get much of an audience they stopped advertising it.
 
They were promoting that like shit when I was in NY a couple of months ago. Huge billboards everywhere, with "jokes" on them like "Whoever invented sex, forgot about morning breath" ...I have no desire to ever, ever watch it.

Absolutely. Unfortunately though it will be in hiatus for another 2 to 3 months, maybe more.
 
The good thing is that the remaining episodes will be aired, at one point NBC weren't planning on airing them at all.

Same. I just caught up yesterday. Hope they have another paintball episode this season. I see in the trailer they have a pillow fight one though.

I love this show. Not one of the characters annoy me and Annie is unbelievable. They should never cancel this show.
 
Just started watching this. Had seen about 2-3 random episodes before and since the girlfriend has finally finished Scrubs and we've both finished Suits I thought this might be the next good thing to watch. Fine so far. Nothing wrong with the attractiveness of the two white females.
