The women in this video :drool::drool::drool::drool:
Yara, Tracee, Issa and Syd are my crushes.

I think the song is okay, it’ll probably grow on me no doubt as it gets played in the club/parties.
Personally I think the vocals on the sample should’ve been lower/more covert, it overpowers Drake on the verses at times, plus it would’ve benefited from not being too harsh.

No. Not at all. You have the internet at your fingertips, Spotify (probably) on your phone. How could you come to this conclusion?

Lots of popular rap is samey and formulaic at the moment: If a sound makes money it's going to be popular. If that sound is easy to mimic it will go through a sharp run through to the point of saturation. I think (and hope) we're at that point with the current sound that seems to permeate everything.

But the popular stuff is still the 1%, not the 99%. Gets played more than anything else but there's never been a broader spectrum of rap/hip-hop being released than right now.
Yeah of course but besides Eminem all rap I hear on the radio is Drake or some other mumbling whiner. I even miss Hov on the box even thou not a fan of his.

The radio has never been a good indication of what the different genres have to offer.

I really liked Saba’s new album when I gave that a first listen the other day.

Am hooked to this track. The Game needs to do more tracks like this to stay relevant:

I’ve not listened to much rap recently but today I’ve listened to The Documentary again and it’s still epic nearly 15 years on.

I’m now on a trip through Kanyes career and it’s wild.

Too much name dropping for it to be still be timeless, a lot of songs have aged terribly. Although I can take you higher still bumps every time.

Finally another Game fan, my ultimate hero!!

I legit can’t stand j.cole stans
Twitter is gonna be unbearable on release day.

Hopefully this album will be good, he must have that hunger back. Kendrick and Drake have comfortably overtaken him in recent years, commercially.

Speaking of, Kendrick won a Pullitzer award too

So fresh Cole on Friday and a week later Post Malone? Not bad. Also Drake announced his next album 'Scorpion' and with everything he (and his ghostwriters) touches seemingly turning to gold my interest is piqued.

Honestly, I can't stand mumble rap. To me it sounds not far off from someone actively trying to make the worst music they possibly can. Then again I've always appreciated lyricism far more than I've appreciated beats. Must be the way my brain is wired.

I'm loving Joyner Lucas at the moment. Those remixes he has on YouTube are phenomenal. Panda and Mask Off in particular are insane, I can't imagine how anyone could ever humor the original versions after listening to those. For me, him and Joey Bada$$ are the best two around at the moment. AABA is quality and the guy only recently turned 23.

Looking forward to this Cole album, I actually really enjoyed 4YEO on the first listen but then I found myself literally never going back and listening to it again which is a weird phenomena that has happened to me with Cole before and doesn't happen with anyone else really. Those songs he's dropped in between (High For Hours, False Prophets, Everybody Dies) are all pretty good though.

Looking forward to the Drake album too, Views was quality, wasn't big on More Life but I think this'll be good.

Why are we throwing shots at drake for this when 98% of the industry uses them?

Anyways, Swae dropped another banger to little fanfare. I don’t understand how he’s getting such little love from the public.

Because dissing Drake is cool & edgy, or something. It always has been.

The majority of people don't understand what ghostwriting actually is, much less understand the process that supposedly "exposed" Drake.

RE: Swae Lee, I've been meaning to listen to his stuff but just haven't got around to it.
Their promo strategy hasn't been good enough though.

Really? I would think he's been up there with both of them, money wise.

Rae Sremmurd are underrated, which is crazy, given their commercial success to date. The duo have a really good synergy with Mike Will Made It. Plus, Swae Lee is an excellent writer. Has credits on French Montana's Unforgettable and some songs on Beyonce's Lemonade.

Speaking of Beyonce, anyone watch her show at Coachella? Apart from @vi1lain...

He’s up there in terms of sales, but nowadays so is Cardi, you know?
Kendrick has solidified himself as the best rapper of this generation, Drake has solidified himself as the rap superstar of this generation, j cole is just.... there.
I can’t say he does one thing better than the other two right now, so I’m eager to see how his album sounds.

And you know nobody is going to talk about Beychella but me :D
What did you think of it?

I understand your point, but releasing good music should be enough promo for a pretty established rapper to blow up. Swae aint some rapper from your hood, having already rode the unforgettable wave plus his shit with Rae, then he drops two songs that copy that unforgettable wave, but its fizzled so far. Maybe the label isnt pushing it, maybe my taste in music is trash, I dont know what it is.

I probably wouldn’t say Swae is established as a solo artist yet, he’s almost there, his name is recognisable to a lot but not most. established to me means household name, means soccer moms and taxi drivers and teenage girls have heard of your songs, or know of you.
He’s not there yet.

But in this day and age you often need more than just music, look at how many incredibly talented artists struggle to be recognised.

It was amazing. I could go on and on about the different elements of the show, but I can't think of any living performer that matches her at the moment. She's up there with MJ, Prince, James Brown IMO.

Amazing compliment! I’m glad you enjoyed it.
Obviously I agree but I’m glad that more people are comfortable admitting it, nobody on the planet can match her concerts right now, nobody is even close.

What I loved most was just how many different elements of black culture she managed to include in there, she really went from Fela, to Nerfetti, to the black national anthem to Juvenile & dirty souff and more. Just so unapologetically black.

I think I lost it at the Fela riff the band (which also deserves credit) performed. Seemed like the performance was wasted on that crowd.

Don't get me started on that useless crowd
The marching band need to go on tour, or the coachella mixes need to released as a seperate CD or the performance as a blu-ray or something, I need it in HQ sound & visuals!
I also need the merch.

There was a j cole "concert" (more of a listening party) in london last night where he played songs off his next album, the location was secret and everybody had to hand in their phones beforehand.

A few of my friends went and said it was pretty good, but they're j.cole stans so I don't trust them to be neutral.

There hasn't really been much of a buzz on social media or twitter though, so we shall see.

Think someone took the piss when I asked about J Cole tickets on here for his last tour, but it was really good. Some songs on his last album are really good live. Looking forward to it.

Thought 4YEO was a bit shite, loved Forest Hills Drive. Hoping for a return to form.

Everybody stop what you're doing and watch some of the most fantastic dance moves of all time.

Kanye, Kanye and Cudi and a Drake album coming in June. Lovely.

Haven't listened to Cole yet. Is it exclusive to Tidal?

Nope, I was listening to it on Apple Music, so i'm sure it's on all platforms.

Cole’s new album is incredible.

I’m a Stan, so I guess my unbiased opinion isn’t really valid :annoyed:
