Virginia vs Richmond today(and other matches of lesser significance :p). Comon Hoos!

A game in Dublin today. Notre Dame hammered Navy 50-10. A full house of 50,000.

Unfortunately no coverage on irish tv. :(

#25 Stanford beat #2 USC. Alabama obliterated Arkansas 52-0. The gap between Alabama and everyone else is incredible.

Notre Dame is about to beat Michigan State and will play Michigan nest week.

I think they are. Alabama destroyed LSU in the Championship Game last year, they destroyed Michigan and Arkansas already. Their defense is allowing an average of 24 rushing yards per game in the last 16 games.

LSU is probably the leader of the pack but they are still a ways behind Alabama.

Can see a repeat of last year's Championship game happening, at the moment only the Ducks look like being capable of challenging Bama and LSU.

Also slightly off topic but would anyone know where I could pick up a Ducks jersey cheap enough, I'd need it to be shipped to Ireland which doesn't help matters at all though.....

The SEC is just too strong.

I complained when the BCS game had Alabama and LSU, but anything other than that would be an annihilation at the hands of Alabama. What is it, their scouting networks down south are better than everyone else's?

Found this article on oversigning

http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2011/writers/andy_staples/01/24/oversigning/index.html

The NCAA really should come down hard on this sort of thing, apart from giving teams an unfair advantage, it screws up so many young players.

The article mentioned the Big Ten as an example to follow in preventing oversigning. For the first time in ages we're out of contention for the BCS game before the conference games begin

I'm more invested in College football than the NFL, until deep into the playoffs for the latter.

They need to sort out the bowl system though, it's too many bowls. I'd love a 16 team knockout tournament for college football.

Love the sideline reaction.

This Baylor/West Virginia game is the epitome of shitty defense.

35-35 at half, 56-42 after three, and now 70-56 late in the fourth.

WVU QB - Smith - 43/49, 635 yds, 8 tds

Baylor QB - Florence - 25/41, 517 yds, 4 tds, 1 int

Total yards - WVU 772, Baylor 625
Total plays - WVU 80, Baylor 82

There have been eight (yes, 8) passing touchdowns greater than 30 yards.

Not many exciting games this week. Michigan State - Ohio State right now. Normally, as a Michigan fan I would be rooting for MSU (they are our third rivals and Ohio State is our first) but with the new divisional setup it makes sense to root for OSU. Plus, Michigan State is getting pretty uppity and need to be put in their place.

Earlier in the game, a Michigan State player tackled Braxton Miller out of bounds and when he was hurt the MSU fans chanted "He's a pussy". Now that Gholston is hurt, I wonder how they feel about that.

Well, my Horns have fallen back to reality the last couple of weeks. Oh well. Can they please fire Mack Brown? He's now been the coach in the three worst defeats in the Texas/OU rivalry. Embarrassing. Need a fresh face in there, a younger more energetic coach. Chris Peterson from Boise State would be nice.

All I want is a victory against VT Farmers. Fooking hate those thugs and a victory at lane stadium would mean so freaking much, specially since it's my last year.

Wow, a UT fan in Georgia? Must be interesting.

Not fan of UT but I've thought for a while Brown has to go. Clearly a great recruiter but given the level of talent he's had there.....how is he still in a job?

Florida looking OK this season, especially in the second half. Bama look unstoppable though.

Florida will win the SEC if they play like this. Wouldn't mind a Florida and Oregon championship. Even though I'd like to see Oregon put up about 50 on Alabama.

We'll see. I hate Oregon (ASU alum) but they have the most explosive offense in the country and this years defense is actually legit.

Yep we hear that every year and then when they face a real defense they don't look all that.

It will be a Florida vs Bama championship game. If they continues playing like this they will be clearly the best two team in the nation.

Duke beats UNC on a last second touchdown to become bowl eligible for the first time since 1994. And I had to miss it because of my cousin's wedding.

GO TO HELL CAROLINA! GO TO HELL!
