Had to label this gridiron so as not to confuse American football with world football.

nice to see someone picking michigan, my alma mater, in the ncaa championship game. i can see it happening - pretty easy scedule - no wisconsin and the big games (notre dame and ohio state) at home.

in contrast, i can't see kansas state coming out of the big 12 undefeated (losing their tight end is going to hurt). oklahoma looks real good, so i'll pick them and michigan in the sugar bowl.

 No bias there

gonna be nice when Frank Gore is running for the dallas cowboys in 2004. I peg El Roberson to win the Heisman if KSU finish unbeaten.

then you must predict the Cowboys to get the first pick...cos thats where Gore is going. :D

He'll go in the top three if he comes out. This is only his sophomore year, but I think he'll come out early if he has the type of year that McGahee had last year (and I think he'll eclipse McGahee's stats if he stays healthy). Willis was a top 5 projection before his injury and still ended up very high on the board despite having a busted knee. Gore, then Tyrone Moss, then Bobby Washington and Charlie Jones - UM have the best running backs on deck.

NFC East: Giants
NFC North: Packers
NFC South: Bucs
NFC West: Rams
Wild Cards: Eagles, Vikings

AFC East: New England
AFC North: Baltimore
AFC South: Titans
AFC West: Denver Buncos
Wild Cards: Raiders, Dolphins

Super Bowl: Bucs over Titans

NCAA: I don't recognize the B(c)S system as a "national champion, but figure the game to match Oklahoma and Ohio State
BIG XII: Oklahoma over Kansas State
SEC: Auburn to beat Georgia
Big Ten: Ohio State
ACC: Florida State
Big East: Pittsburgh
PAC 10: Arizona State

NFC East: Eagles
NFC North: Packers
NFC South: Bucs
NFC West: Seattle
Wild Cards: Saints, Giants

AFC East: Miami
AFC North: Cleveland
AFC South: Colts
AFC West: Broncos
Wild Cards: Raiders, Jets

Super Bowl: Eagles over Dolphins

NCAAChampionship: Miami and Texas
BIG XII: Texas over Colorado
SEC: Auburn to beat Georgia
Big Ten: Ohio State
ACC: Maryland
Big East: Miami
PAC 10: USC

I would luv it, just absolutely luv it, if Texas won the Big XII and played for the national championship. Sadly, don't see it happening this season. :(

as long as they keep losing the oklahoma, they won't be playing for diddly squat come year end. unfortunately for longhorn fans, this year doesn't look much different in this regard. but who knows?

Well, they could just might pull off the shock win against OU...remember when Manning left Tennessee after four losses to Florida?...the new QB, Tee Martin leads the Vols to a shock win over Florida and to a national championship (actually, FSU choked in the title game)...I wouldn't be shocked if Chance Mock becomes a hero and leads the Horns to a win over OU...OU has not looked as good as advertised so far this season...but they will be up for the Texas game...as always.

Happens every year...Texas loses to an inferior opponent within the first 3 games of every season...didn't surprise me they lost...the defense is thin with underclassman this season and can't hold down the opposition late...I am worried about the Kansas State and OU games...Texas might very well be 2-3 afterwards... :nervous:

I will say this again...if they lose to OU again, Mack Brown must go.

At the end of the year, there should be an opening at Arizona. I'm sure Texas can dump another over-rated, under-achieving coach on the unsuspecting fans in Tucson.

how about them michigan wolverines?

I'm going to really enjoy it when Michigan lays a good ol' fashioned ass whoopin' on Ohio State this season. OSU should have lost two games already this season. Beating a crap San Diego State squad by 3 is ridiculous. And holding off NC State due to horrible coaching decisions by the NC State coaching staff is not my idea of a great team. They got lucky last season against Purdue and a couple of other games. And don't get me started on the "PI" call last year against Miami. I like it when OSU fans point out that a PI should have been called in the 4th quarter that would have given them a first down and ran out the clock. If they watch that play again, they will see the WR should have been flagged for an illegal procedure before the play was snapped. :wenger:

M GO BLUE - represent worldwide!

I'm worried about the game vs. Oregon though. The Michigan lockerroom is saying all the right things, but the media hype about the Heisman and Sugar Bowl is completely out of control. Oregon has a lot of weapons on offense, and I can see the Michigan defense being tested on several fronts. Either way, I hope I can get back to Ann Arbor for homecoming on Oct. 18th!

Kansas State losing to Marshall at home...27-20...KSU driving with less than 50 seconds remaining...need about 45 yards to tie...gonna be a great finish... :nervous:

UPSET... :o KSU does this every season too...call them Texas of the North. Texas will bounce back tonight versus Rice. Tennesse vs. Florida was an ok game, the Vols winning.

First KSU non-conference home loss since 1989. Can't wait to hear the mid major conferences talking about respect in the national title BCS system. :annoyed:

Texas Tech's passing system is a joke. That Symons kid had 365 yards in the first half but TT had zero points. He finished with 586 yards and 2 td passes. feckin' ridiculous...TT has no running game, but they spread the offense with 5 receivers and make lots of 2,3, and 5 yard dump passes. This a more statistically bloated system than the old Run and Shoot at Houston and BYU's scheme...hell, even the Fun-and-Gun at Florida didn't top 500 yards passing in every contest.

So, my two national title teams gone out the window...

As much as it pains me to say it, Oklahoma and USC are probably the class of NCAA football right now. Michigan pulled a classic Schembechler, and KSU was finally (and rightfully) exposed by a fearless Marshall unit. Loved seeing ND get embarassed at home in front of a national TV audience by Michigan State. A few more 4-win years and the Irish will be forced into a conference, likely the Big 10eleven. :D

Everybody takes for granted Miami, but I wouldn't be surprised if Miami and OU end up in the championship game. Teams to watch out: USC, Oregon, LSU.

I do think Oklahoma, Miami, and USC are far and away the best teams in the country.

Ohio St. are a bit of a joke with all of their close calls with crap teams. One team to keep an eye out for this will be LSU. They have an excellent D and lots of speed on offense.

Ohio State also has close calls, but wins against the good teams also. Still, I don't see anyone from the Big 10 (plus Northwestern) claiming the mythical national championship this year.

USC doesn't play Oregon this year, so one of the Washington schools or ASU will help decide which of those takes the PAC-10.

To borrow a phrase-

"Who is Oregon? They ain't nuthin', they ain't nuthin'!"

Kudos to Wazzu for their 52-16 tee-off on the Sucks. Simultaneously I am nauseated how Michigan handed them the game last week. Our entire coaching staff should be executed for their complete lack of preparation.

I amy be little biased, but watch out those hogs. Hogs vs LSU looks like to be a very exciting and crucial game for both teams.

Packers do look bad and this is probably Favre's last season. I'm optimistic about the Boys today against the Jets. I still think Carter is not the answer at QB in Dallas.

I was shocked that USC fell to Cal last night. Still looks like there will only be one, maybe two teams that remain undefeated this season. Right now, would say OU and Miami.

Miami has a very difficult schedule. Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, Pitt in Pittsburgh, and FSU in Tallahassee. All three will be tough, as will Tennessee in Miami. If we get past all of those then I would say we'll win it all.

did anyone see steve beuerlein´s finger yesterday? straight from the horror cabinet ...

im not happy beuerlein is injured, but im happy he cannot play as the guy is a joke ...

mind, is danny kannell any better?
