Can't happen in this game, the system randomly promotes some players to real players, if the academy club doesn't offer him a contract until he's 20, he'll just be deleted from the game. The whole system is random, so sometimes a player sees a mega star in the making in the academy, but there's nothing they can do but pray the system promotes him.

He's 29 and you just released him, no one seems interested, he's had a terrible career. 1 goal in 22 matches in his entire career.

This game has a weird system for academy players, if the system (I say system because the player can't do it manually) offers a kid a contract they became a "real" player, if not, when they turn 20 they simply disappear from the database.

CM 01/02 is known for having tons and tons of star players compared to modern FMs.

What an utterly pointless season. Can’t even banter with @Big Andy since we were far behind his mob. Was expected though when we bought nobody and sold 2 of our best players. Time for a clear out methinks. Get on it @maniak sack the useless swine in charge for a start
