I have successfully stayed away from this thread. Unfortunately just had a look and apparently Sir Jim is a villain and Qataris are the saints?

feck off!

I know, I've been reluctant to post as it seems if you don't want Qatar you don't know what your taking about.

I knew I wasn’t the only one!!

We all know there’s no guarantee with anything. The best people are who we the owner seems them to be, current or new employees.

Again this fear of change and ambition just makes no sense. If the new owners want to bring in new people then I don’t see the slightest issue.

Because they might bring in worse. Money does not equate to common sense and great judgment. People are blinded by money.

You’d imagine any top bid would stipulate an end date for both parties to conclude prior to the summer transfer window. Getting off on the right foot is still important for new owners and I can’t see any reason for it to take beyond the window once a price is agreed. My main worry is they only sell a stake and remain here. If that happens….we are in dire straits.
Clubs normally conclude their wishlists at the start of April, per reports from tier 1 sources. So the longer the sale process takes, the longer it will take to potentially tie up early deals. If there isn't clarity on the sale by May, then I would presume that will affect the summer window in some way.

So are the bids announced at 9pm?

Why aren't we hearing anything?
Why would we hear anything? This isn't transfer deadline day or a public auction. There's no "announcement" of bids.

The only info that we have gotten for this whole process is PR leaks/releases by the various parties. Recognize that we only know what they want us to know, which may not be what is happening.

I knew I wasn’t the only one!!
And I'm certainly no brexit loving Tory either.

I don't want our great club to be tarnished as a sportswashing exercise whether that is true or not.Everyone who says we're different than City yes I get it but it will be used as a stick to beat us with far more than all the other state clubs put together.
As I said a few post up, I'll have to get used to it because after 40+years supporting us I couldn't walk way.
The day the likes of Abramovich were allowed to buy clubs it was always going to lead to this.

Come on you Glazers feckers, take the money and go feck someone else up. If they don’t accept, the backlash will be huge!

I’m at the vinegar strokes. However, I gather I could be in this state for a few weeks yet. Please feck off now you urchin cnuts.

Man United receive improved world record bids from Qatar and Sir Jim Ratcliffe of around £5bn as deadline CLOSES - but there are still concerns Glazers may not sell as they value club at £6bn

The end seems near. Let's hope it works out well all around. Don't put it past the Glazers to be stupid enough to reject record bids like that.
