Club Sale | It’s done!

Sorry if this sounds over the top but if this Qatari deal doesn't go through and we get SJR with all his debt or even worse the Glazers stay, then a lot of our own fan base will be to blame.

This is our chance to make up for years of bad ownership and the club being used as a cash cow.

Instead some have chosen to take a disingenuous high ground on Qatari ownership while happily buying sweat shop made Adidas clothing or Apple products made in Chinese factories where staff are committing suicide.

This is the time to stick together, not give the leeches we have in charge another reason to stay.

You're talking garbage. If you think you or any fans (who were chanting 'Glazers Out in their face at the weekend) have any influence over the sale, you really are thick your whataboutism examples suggest.

Looking rosier, only worry is they might feck up one last transfer window. Hopefully, EtH and the football people can prep and just push the buy button once the ownership officially changes

Can read these greedy parasites like a book. They’re seeing the success ETH is having on the pitch and are hoping he’s able to win us another trophy by the end of the season to bump the price up even further. Get out of the fecking club now you leeching bastards!

Delayed sale until end of season. Would that hamper ETH transfer plans?

At a guess, they'll be planning a transfer window for 3 scenarios; still under Glazer ownership, in transition to a new ownership and new ownership firmly established.

At least, that would be a common sense thing to do in my opinion.

Tbh I think most fans would take a poor transfer window if it meant the glazers are definitely gone. It would be shit for the summer but better for long term.

As soon as a bidder gets within the 5 - 5.5B threshold they'll accept mark my words.

Everything else has been a very normal part of a bidding process. The stuff out today gives room for compromise on their valuation

I think I might need more explaining on this.

I cannot understand why anyone like Elliots would want to invest as a minority, so the Glazers can pay the siblings off?

Its a lose lose right? Glazers have an awful reputation, so any company investing will be targeted for supporting the glazer, they won't clear the debt on the club.

So really they are getting nothing.

I have this mate. He had two passions in life ie a classic car he inherited and addiction. He was able to juggle with both up until he couldn't. Thus he was force to sell his car to maintain his family. Unfortunately for him the classic car enthusiast community in Malta is small and everyone knew everybody. Thus they knew that this person needed money. The guy tried everything in his books to try and sell his car for a premium from inventing bogus offers right to pulling it out of the market as he was reluctant to sell it out and would be doing so only if the right offers comes in. Nothing worked and it actually made things worse as the more he spoke about it the more desperate he sounded. Ultimately I did manage to find someone who wouldn't take him to the cleaners. However the offer was nowhere near to what he wanted.

The Glazers are in a similar situation. Manchester United needs huge investment, most the Glazers want out and while Joel/Avram might (or are pretending) to want to stay they can't afford it. Its impossible for them to buy their own siblings out let alone invest heavily in the club without losing majority control. Now they can pretend to pull the club out of the market through 'creative' investment but ultimately they'll go through that route. They simply can't afford it.

How that is even possible?
Not sure but when It stuck in my head when I heard it.
It’s why Avram and Joel own less of it than their siblings combined but nobody is going after the siblings on their own to bypass the hold outs because the remaining Glazers would still have the voting rights

edit @Ottawa MLS Fan kindly answered it above

it is true, because their shares each carry 10x the voting rights of shares owned by anybody outside the family.

there are two types of shares. The class A shares and the Class B shares. If someone buys class B shares then they'll operate like Class B shares.

Sorry what the hell is this crap?

Why would it be the fans fault who dont fancy they and are voicing on a board?

Are they ok'ing the deal to the glazers?

It's massively complicated but once you reach a certain percentage ownership you can exercise the option to buy out all remaining shares at a certain price (usually above market price) within a period of time. If that gets you close to full ownership you can then exercise a further option in which all remaining shareholders HAVE to sell to you at a fixed price....usually this would be set to be lower than previous price offered.
That used to be the law in the UK and very well still could be for a publicly listed company but the is not a UL listed company so that will not likely be applicable

Sorry, whose taking a disingenuous moral high ground again?

So in effect the 6 siblings would all have to unanimously accept an offer?

Would be surprised if Raine don’t already know the amount they’d accept though

The Glazer's have an awful reputation with the fans, but I bet business people think they are geniuses, how many people can buy a business for nothing and turn it in to a saleable asset worth billions

I only wear clothing made form recycled hemp and I own no electrical devices. I send a letter through the postal system to my brother with my posts and he uses his PC to post stuff on here for me.

No. Fans have no say in this. You are right above over the top thing.

Qatar should accept to pay the Glazer's price but only if they accept to give a dozen of laps of honour at OT naked with SAF behind them shouting shame shame shame. Meanwhile the fans would be allow to throw them all sort of stuff on them. I assure you that such a thing would be more popular with fans then signing Mbappe.
