Lets hope the Glazers dont listen to Talksports:
So we're Coca Cola now? Well, at least, it's red.

Wow that's insane haha.Is this okay to say?![]()
This.I like Pepsi better though![]()
To be fair, with their 6 CL titles and 19 EPL titles, Liverpool are the right contender for Coca Cola as well. They are not Pepsi (the soda) in the traditional mind, i.e. when talking about the soda itself. Cause soda wise, Coca Cola is the real soda and many don't even consider Pepsi. This is a point well made but Man City are closer to Cherry Cola than Pepsi. Liverpool are Pepsi in this comparison imo.
Fans controlling the club would be an absolute farce.
Who put LuckyScout in charge of transfers? We would buy Patrick Schick for 200m and that be our business done.

But if talking about market cap, since we have Coca Cola Co at $257B, PepsiCo at $239B and Red Bull is currently valued at €16.96B or $18B, that should be the order of magnitude on how we see those clubs.
So Coca Cola Co = United, Pepsi Co = Liverpool and Red Bull = City.
A million percent this. People just aren't thinking about this. Why on earth would they gift the club hundreds of millions of pounds (potentially billions) when they have put absolutely feck all in so far.I can’t see a minority stake. Been saying it for weeks and still feel the same.
It would mean the Glazers using some of their equity to fund infrastructure investments. That won’t happen
New bidder makes alternative offer that would see Glazers STAY
A new bidder has entered the race for Manchester United, with Genevra Associates expressing an interest in taking a minority stake in the club, with the Glazers staying in control
Fair, so it's really the soda perception. I was actually surprised by the Pepsi market cap so one can tell the perception I had about the soda market was wrong. The analogue really doesn't have anything to do with performance. It's all about perception. Coke being the more dominant brand in terms of perception and brand equity.
United is more dominant in terms of customers/fans, social engagements etc compared to Liverpoolwe are perceived to be the bigger, better brand
Maybe they will be told to shut up aswellThese guys have also intimated the club has been run badly and want it to end with a 50% fan ownership. Every bidder is saying the Glazers are shite.![]()
Solhekol and Keegan are on Qatar's payroll then I guess? They certainly talk like they are.
feck me Jassim reads the caf daily doesnt he
No they can't.But if the 4 siblings sell their shares the money goes to them and not the other two (Avram & Joel) right ? They (Avram and joel) can’t possibly fund the infrastructure expenditure and transfers. Can they ?
No they can't.
To fund infrastructure investment, they have two options (debt or equity). They could sell part of their shares and invest some of that money into the club. That would mean they have done something they haven't done in 18 yeas...put their own money into the club.
The second option is more feasible. They borrow against the club to fund the investment. Trouble is the fans will ensure no game is played at that stadium.
The minority stake doesn't pay for the infrastructure. Even if the other siblings are bought out, infrastructural investment will need to be funded by debt or equity from somwhere. All a minority stake means is replacing one owner for another, the problem doesn't go away.
This will either be a full sale or the Glazers stay and there is no capital investment for the forseeable. Our financial position makes a sale more urgent. There is no cash, we have significant liabilities (not even accounting for transfer liabilities) and the stadium is crumbling.
Yes, but knowing how the Glazers operate, they will get minority investment to pay off the siblings and continue to run Manutd like they have been.
I am pretty sure if the Glazers remain in charge, there will be no infrastructure upgrade because there is no money.
We barely have money for transfers now. They will make minor upgrades, they will sell naming rights etc... to re paint he stadium etc...
Indeed he does. Its me. Send me all your bank details, I want to give you all £10 for being so understanding.feck me Jassim reads the caf daily doesnt he
The 'leavers' within the Glazer family represent the majority. Thus unless they dig deep inside their personal pockets then they will be forced to rescind control over the club. They might think that they are wise but the Elliotts of these world would wipe the floor with them
I’ve read that even if there’s one Glazer left they would still control the club? The 'leavers' within the Glazer family represent the majority. Sorry if this sounds over the top but if this Qatari deal doesn't go through and we get SJR with all his debt or even worse the Glazers stay, then a lot of our own fan base will be to blame.
This is our chance to make up for years of bad ownership and the club being used as a cash cow.
Instead some have chosen to take a disingenuous high ground on Qatari ownership while happily buying sweat shop made Adidas clothing or Apple products made in Chinese factories where staff are committing suicide.
This is the time to stick together, not give the leeches we have in charge another reason to stay.
