Thought Raine told everyone to shut the feck up. Won't help their bid, this.Their PR is top notch. Makes you a tad excited reading that.

Genuinely curious why you think this? Because of Singer? If we take 3.5bn loan from Elliot then we are doomed. There needs to be widespread riots to stop that scenario.
The Glazers are cnuts who crippled the club and continue to do so. Don't understand how there is a United fan alive who could defend them.
If the bidders called their bluff and withdrew their bids tomorrow the Glazers will struggle to hold on until 2024 in my view. Its all just posturing, we owe £300m in transfer payables and we still need a couple of big signings. If the two serious bidders put out statements that the sellers aren't serious and they are withdrawing all hell could break loose and tank our season costing us top 4.
If the UK government have nothing to do with the ownership of Man United why did you bring them up in a response to the Qatari government who are buying Man United? You have identified the difference in your post above.
Because they are one of the worst predatory funds out thereGenuinely curious why you think this? Because of Singer?
Didn’t they nearly bring down the Argentine government over money owed to them?Because they are one of the worst predatory funds out there
Elliott have a tonne of different teams and actual experience with European football now - look at AC. I'm personally against it because it keeps the Glazers in as I understand it but this isn't a sovereign debt or asset stripping scenario.Because they are one of the worst predatory funds out there
Back when they were trying to stop the Glazer takeover. Qatar said no because they were in talks to buy PSG at the timeWhen was this? I read a few days ago Qatar offered 1.1bn to the Glazers in 2011 but of course they said no.
Think it was a navy ship they tookDidn’t they nearly bring down the Argentine government over money owed to them?
I am honestly not trying to guilt trip anyone. People can do what they want but don’t try and moralise it through silly arguments is my basic premise.
@Wumminator and a couple others are literally chasing everyone on this forum who have different opinions, so weird. Always amazes me how grown up people are so insecure.
Which is pretty ballsey in itself but I’m sure I read that the Argentinians owed billions and Elliot was on of the few funds that didn’t settle on an agreement and pursued them for years to get their 2-3billion back, hence seizing the ship.Think it was a navy ship they took
Nice area, walked through there yesterday. No that isn’t your argument.
Go on, see your argument through. You claim that I’m a hypocrite because I “directly” benefited from Middle East sportswashing. I had a house near Ancoats that saw property value increase whilst decrying the Qatari ownership of Manchester United.
What actions should I have taken to not be seen as a hypocrite? Say it out loud and post it.
What actions

He did, I even called him out on it.Hold on a second, there are some who have equated any criticism of Qatar as islamophobia and racism. I don't think anyone is going after those in favour of Qatar to the same degree in order to shut down their opinions.
Nor are any of those in favour of SJR and Ineos against his offer being scrutinised. In fact, as one of those in favour I encourage it. I think as fans, we at least deserve to know how any potential owner is going to fund the club and where those funds are coming from.
The insecurities I am seeing are from those who don't want to be challenged on why they've suddenly flipped their entire view of State ownership. Which I'd argue is a perfectly valid thing to question given the current situation. If posters like @Wumminator suddenly started calling them homophobic because of their support there'd be a problem, but I don't see the issue with asking questions.

Most AC fans I know (albeit it's 2) were happy with them - obviously they'll be there to make money, the only owners who won't be are the sportswashers. I think priority is Glazers out and any non state in who won't milk the club.AC was a bit of a shit show the way they handled it. Especially with Gazidis and Maldini. Whether or not they have a ton of different teams or not. What is true is that they will only be in it for value extraction.

Yep, see my post literally a few backElliot means Glazers in…

And that’s why the Glazers staying doesn’t make any sense. If they buy out some of the siblings all of the problems you listed still exist but they have loads more debt that can’t be paid off by the club.
The interest rates would be high and it would actually a huge gamble that could see the losing it all.
The other scenario goes against everything they stand for, sell shares and get no money for them. Investment goes into the club and they try to grow the club and get back what they’ve sold and more (which would take a long time).
These articles that name drop Joel and not wanting to leave Old Trafford are just briefed PR and click bait. None of the actually attempt to explain how they could get round all the issues they’d have if they stayed on.
Why so aggressive? Relax my guy.The stadium does not need a £1b redevelopment, stop it with this nonsense. People are confusing the word "need" with the word "want".
I am...lend me £5b!Anyone in here able to hack the data room?
Can't help think the silent bids could be bad news for the club, so happy to stay quietI’d love to know how many bids there really were on Friday and who from. The secrecy element of this process really sucks!

No one’s aggressive mate, it’s just not a factual statementWhy so aggressive? Relax my guy.
im going off what’s been out there for months. And the more conservative side. Just calmo yourself down
Not according to the guy who was in charge of the Red Knights. He spoke to the Qataris.Qatar tried to buy United in 2011, they were told not for sale so moved onto PSG.

Jim O'Neill said he tried to involve minority Qatar investment in the Red Knights bid but they went with PSG instead for mostly political reasons.Well I don't know who that guy is and haven't seen the quotes, but it was pretty widely reported back in 2011 from what I remember. No idea if how serious the bid was to be fair.

is anyone else getting worried that the Glazer parasites are not going at all and are just feeling out the market. Never mind all this arguing about who the best new owner is, as fans our main pressure and spotlight should remain on the Glazers going. I don't really mind too much between INEOS and Qatar at this stage so long as the leeches are definitely going.
Give me Jassim if it means I can get a player like Benzema!
It was Jim O’Neil who led the Red Knights, he said it was for political reasons they went for PSG (end goal in getting a WC) and it worked. He also said people shouldn’t be upset about where money comes from, the UK economy can’t survive without it.Well I don't know who that guy is and haven't seen the quotes, but it was pretty widely reported back in 2011 from what I remember. No idea if how serious the bid was to be fair.
