Nowadays, I'm unsure if there's much of a difference, tbh.Unless I am confused with someone else, I thought he was a known bulls***ter. He loves to make things spicy on twitter all the time.
Well, it means that if a party steps up and says no state-owned clubs, you vote them in.Right party in next election? And how exactly will they help stop a multi polar world from forming? The UK isn’t going to influence this much.
Also why would anyone who supposedly cared about human rights not want to live in a multi polar world? Id argue thats a huge contradiction.
I'm not sure what you'd class him as makes a tangible difference if I'm honest. If anything being threatened by an authority heightens his credibility.
Again, I'm not sure what you think matters especially, or makes being gone after for making a perfectly legitimate journalistic point by a state journalist any more acceptable.A lousy hack is a much better description, thankfully the majority of people realise that as well and know not to take him seriously. Especially on anything United related.
Yep. that has been my main fear & I dont believe SJR is going to help us to compete with these oligarchs. That's the main worry, for a lot of United fans.

You should give your head a wobble. As for the multi-polar world remark, it's to do with countries who may not share your values gaining influence and especially economic power.
Didn’t really threaten him there did he?Journalists threatening journalists, yeah this is going to end well.
Yeah but there's a reason these sheikhs are buying Western assets and not the other way aroundLook, it's not threatening and let's be fair. That Qatari guy is a journalist if I'm not mistaken. He might be talking out of his backside.
Arab people like their bluster and of course they'll respond. They are bullish because they have Europe by the balls since Russia has left the equation as a viable gas supplier.
People might not like it but we're no longer in a Western-dominated world, it's more multi-polar. If you hate it so much, make sure you vote for the right party in the next election but I doubt most people care.
fecking hell
Imagine the club being saddled with the Glazer debt for another few decades
Oooh, going after journos before the first round of bidding is even complete.
Spicy!
Main worry with INEOS bid anyway, I would say the main concern is the Glazers just staying put with a refinanced deal.
I think in this particular instance the tweet sounds a bit weird due to him not being a native English speaker and it being a mistranslation. I think he meant "critics" instead of "opponents". Or at least I hope he did.Journalists threatening journalists, yeah this is going to end well.
This is just pure speculation from a single Adam Crafton twitter reply for what it's worth.fecking hell

Now is the private buyer being backed with state funds thats a separate question which I don’t have an answer to.
Miguel's tweet was journalism in it's most fundamental and important sense, holding the powerful to account for their actions. It doesn’t really I was just pointing out the word ‘journalist’ was doing a lot of heavy lifting there. That said none of this matters in the grand scheme of things, if the Glazers accept the Qatari’s offer they’ll takeover the club regardless of what you, me or Miguel Delaney say about it. Same goes for INEOS or whoever else it may be. All this discussion is meaningless but seeing as it’s an internet forum we do it anyway.

I note that you are one of the strongest opponents of the Qatari takeover of Manchester United. But I'd like to assure you, we'll be doing a total acquisition soon.Didn’t really threaten him there did he?

That's not true and shoddy journalism. It was reported a week ago that their financing deal with Goldman Sachs will in fact clear the 600m debt.

In this case, you don't really need to ask that question, though.
The likelihood of "nine two" (a.k.a. "so-cringe-it's-almost-admirable") not being...well, let's just stick with what you said: "backed with state funds" is very, very close to feck all.
If they don’t pay off the existing club debts its a non starter
I suspect people are reading into Adam's speculation a lot deeper than they should be, financially it makes no sense not to refinance the debt onto Ineos' books when they complete the takeover anyway. That debt is not financed on terms which are remotely reasonable if you have the facility to buy a £5bn club. That's not true and shoddy journalism. I’m sure there’s dark money everywhere. Not even dark money but investors who simply want to remain hidden away.Oh I'm asking! I've been asking since about 2, and have yet to have a single decent reply. Absolutely no one claiming that the Qatar bid isn't state funded, seems remotely interested where the funds will be coming from instead - which seems like the most obvious, pertinent follow up... And yet if I were to ask why Ratcliffe's bid shouldn't be trusted, I will get multiple walls of text digging into his financials and previous purchases. All of which leads me to conclude it's being argued in incredibly bad faith..
Surely we should be massively distrustful of both - particularly the one promising the moon?

I understand what you’re saying I just didn’t really read it like that. I accept it could come across that way though. Where I come from that looks like a veiled threat. Like me saying I can't help but notice that you're disagreeing with me, but rest assured I know you leave you back door open when you go to work.
And then you come back home to find a shit in your kettle.
True.IF being the operative word. We don’t know whats true or not yet.
