Calling it now, sale is close, this story has come out to push one particular party to pay up. A buyer does not want this news to be out in the open.
If we weren't reservicing debt then dividends wouldn't be a huge issue. It's both of them. But those will also likely take dividends just like glazers
Either an American conglomerate who are already involved in sports teams over there, like Mark Cuban and a couple more, a Middle Eastern or Chinese buyer are the other options.Who do you think that buyer is?
Are the Google links bullshit?
what happens when every premier league club is owned by an ultra rich willing to spunk endless money on players?
Almost definitelyAre the Google links bullshit?
The only concern I have is it that the glazers are finally realising their mistakes like signing commercial players (ronaldo, pogba) is not beneficial and have finally started to correct things with directors, data analysts etc.. and if a new owner comes along will they do a boehly of trying to play football manager and also boot out out ten hag?
Do a search.Where are these links?
Do a search.
How do you mean? They've most likely been looking to sell a stake but absolutely no one wants to touch it with them involved. The Raine group will specialise in selling companies like this and will advised them how best to do it.Would you say Glazers would have been using The Raine group anyway, even if the Glazers never wemt public?
I know it sounds typical ITK but a lad I know who really is ITK assures me that the possibility of building a new stadium is a complete non-starter and it’s a Bernabeu type job that has already been costed, planned, designed, etc and is in place ready to go once someone (our new owners hopefully) gives the nod.
The Dubai owners will find it difficult to raise the funds. I know I didnt like going to the cash point in the heat when I was on holiday over there.
So all Americans are same as Glazer? No more American "investors", please. I don't care who it is, just not that. No consortiums, funds, whatever. You have to be insane to want this after the Glazers. Surely there is someone else? I will take that.
Utd are like Real, Barca and Bayern - how often are clubs of that stature ever on sale?rich folk the world over will be putting a bid togetherThis is going to be sale of the century stuff - they’re going to make a fecking fortune
Yes, their fancy project is sinking 5mm every year. They make horrible financial decisions. They want to be extravagant but dont have the money like Qatar or Abu DhabiThey're also broke every few years. Dubai's littered with their failed projects, that they ran out of money for half way through.

Speak for yourself. I don’t want to be a state run toy regardless of whether they’re Middle Eastern or ScandinavianAlso "oil money" is equally about the fact that its source is a dictatorship - which Dubai objectively is, regardless of the number of oil wells they may have.
If the Norwegian sovereign wealth fund was to buy us, I'm sure the majority would be quite happy about that.
Dividends at like 17m/year were never our problemBut those will also likely take dividends just like glazers

Gregory Ioannidis (known as Lawtop on Twitter) put this out on 19th August:
Plenty of talk tonight on a potential take over of #ManUtd
If true, (and there is intention to sell), remember it will take at least 6 months, mainly because of the due diligence process.
So sit tight and be patient. #IKN
Could be further along than we thought...

We're looking at a recession soon and I'd say 2-5 years before things recover depending on how pessimistic you are. The time to sell is now if you want top dollar, they could have got more if they'd have sold about a year ago. I reckon they would have been advised to get out now before it gets too expensive for them to recover the asset.
Rule him out. No way our club value will increase more than the amount we will be bought for.
Plus this sounds more like Glazers than any other potential buyer
