Can other coaches not lose 14 games by New Year?

This fanbase have tanked expectations to a generational low to such an extent success is league cup & a distant 3rd place. Some were even stalking about a potential step back this year.

The club is not set up to win the best things consistently but in no small part the poor managers employed have not exceeded modest expectations.

I don't accept the fanbase have lower standards, people still expect Manchester United to be a team that wins major trophies. I think fans accept that the club needs major changes behind the scenes and we are hopefully getting that now.

People aren't really fighting to protect ten Hag anymore, it's just letting the situation play out until something more meaningful can be done.

Blanc could quite easily have always been intended as a member on the board representing the sporting division of INEOS which he is as per the deal, and the CEO talk journalist assumption based on his former football role as a CEO.

The commercial side doesn't need a CEO with Football experience. Richard Arnold for all his faults managed to get a record breaking Adidas deal over the line and negotiate the shirt sponsors. Woodward was a poor football director but got us some very good sponsorship deals at a time when the product on the pitch was poor and the talent was less than stellar.

Ultimately if its not Blanc in the CEO role it has no bearing on the INEOS deal in making a judgement, let's judge them on the sporting hires and decisions and let the overall board run the commercial side, hell, Blanc will be a part of the decision either way.

Point being, isolating one statistic on x many losses is generally not a clever way to evaluate a manager. There are many facets that go into it and the fact that you're hung up about one stat shows you can't actually argue your point.

I didn't ignore the above post, the other guy said "no manager would be successful under this regime" and you made the sarky comment "can other coaches not lose 14 games by new year" obviously implying that ETH isn't good enough and should be sacked for someone that doesn't lose 14 games by new year.

I pointed out that your sarky comment didn't make sense as ETH can already do what you were asking for as proven by last year, that was my point.

I'm not even sure ETH is good enough myself anymore, I just took issue with that comment as you were making it sound like he's the worse manager ever which isn't true.

We'll see how he finishes this season as the excuses have nearly ran out now with his players coming back and fewer games to play and if we don't drastically improve i'm sure he will rightly be replaced in the summer.

EDIT: To be clear if we could get De Zerbi or Zidane in today I would sack him before the 4.30 kick off but that isn't going to happen so we might as well give him the chance to finish the season and see if the likes of Mount, Casemiro and Martinez etc being fit does change things like he says and most people seem to think.

Very few clubs have had our level of injuries, and the injury point is massive (which is probably why you're trying to gloss over it with an ill informed "every team has injuries" generic reply).

If Ole had the same injuries he'd not have been close to the amount of wins. Also the trend isn't relevant to the point, as you said two other managers were sacked for less and relied on one stat to suggest this, which is a daft way to evaluate things.

If ten hag doesn't change the trend he should be sacked and I'd agree. But you claimed two managers were sacked for less when they very obviously weren't. There's so many other reasons that go into sackings, not least one being when players very visibly have given up on a coach and don't bother running show hands on hips etc. All whilst being terrible in form.
