They are comparing Girona with Nice.

Ah, okay. Not too sure why. But for the owner of Manchester United, I will look at their past record in the field that we're in, football. So what has he bought Nice for? To win trophies? Or, to increase their value?

How expensive are their haircuts?

Aside from that I'm not sure what you mean. For it to be profitable you have also to take into account the dodgy sponsorships that are propping up the club, surely?
  oops.

they have got to where they are through dodgy financial means, but if the owners want a dividend or two they can sell a stake in the club, as they have been for the last 5 years or so.

That way the sponsorships fund the club, and create a more expensive asset, which means the stakes Mansour sells are more expensive, thus making him more money.

Google Translate

"Sir Jim Ratcliffe close to buying #ManchesterUnited from the Glazers for around £4bn. He is the richest man in the UK, number one at INEOS and owner of Nice"
If he can buy United, why can’t the PSG buy United?

Ineos would need to surrender the majority of their shares in Nice, if both United and Nice qualify for the same competition.

It would be assumed (or perhaps hoped) that going forward, United will be competing in the Champions League most years. PSG qualify every year, Nice do not. Therein would lie the difficulty for QSI.

City would face the same difficulties if Girona qualified for the UCL, but, realistically, that is not going to happen.

It’s based on a bullshit website.

I doubt it will conclude soquickly.

and it will be Ineos buying united not ratcliffe.

Well I'm comparing what SJR does for his clubs, to what we need. So if he's not actually improving them on the pitch, what's to say he'll do the same for us?

INEOS have been at Nice 3 years man, two 5th placed finishes, a cup final & a highly rated DoF now onboard.

Abrsmovich and City’s ownerships really have completely fecked up what some people see as a successful takeover. Haven’t challenged Mbappe, Messi, Neymar powered PSG in 3 years… shit, don’t want.

Nice spend how Nice should spend, they should never put themselves in a position of being soley reliant on a sugar daddy to keep them from insolvency. A smart owner there makes a long term plan, an owner looking to spunk hundreds of millions down the drain on a vanity project doesn’t buy fecking Nice

Make it happen.

My lord. This might be the most beautiful jersey I have ever seen. Whoever made this should be working at adidas. This is art.

So, his purchase and running of Nice, tells you what in regards to how he'd run United?

That Nice and Girona would be the same level in the football groups. So Girona would be the team to look at for a comparison as to whether the ownership was successful and the answer is, Nice have been significantly more successful than Girona.

YOU brought Girona into the conversation. From where, I don't know. It wasn't me.

I commented on the running of Nice and how that would be compared to the running of United. What's so difficult in that?

When a manager gets a job at a bigger club, it's usually because he's done exceptional with a team that shouldn't be achieving success at the club he has. SAF got his move to United on the backmof his success at Aberdeen, which exceeded expectations.

I don't want an owner who is going to keep us at status quo.

With the money Khaldoon Al-Mubarak has, his team Girona should be doing a lot better, no?

It’s a fairly simple point to make. I can only assume that it’s deliberate to ignore it.

The 4B price referenced by that Italian journey always sounded unrealistic tbh, Chelsea went for more and we're a much bigger club

You’re not aware of the concept of comparisons it seems. Hope that works out well for you, explaining them would just be a waste of time

Urmm, I understand the concept of comparison. That's what I'm doing. I'm comparing what he's done at his club in France and Switzerland, and drawing a comparison on what he'd do at United. I can only go off the data that I've got. Which is, he buys clubs, and they stay roughly the same to when he buys them.

I don't want that at Manchester United.

The day these rat bastards feck off will be the happiest day of my life.

Chelsea did not go for more. The £ 4.25 billion includes £ 1.75 billion committed to investment (i.e. it's not consideration for the acquisition). The buyers paid £ 2.5 billion for all the equity and the debt payoff.

The price will be a little lower if the new owners take on the debt as well. so 4b sounds like fair valuation.. nowhere near the 6-7 reported though,

so nobody else will be putting up 6b then

Exactly.

I actually laughed when I saw the Daily Mail article.

Things are worth what people are willing to buy them for. The club's got to the point where there's not enough fat for the Glazer dividend. There's no reason for them to hold on. If they want to cash out they need to sell.

Nobody has been able to provide any proof of any serious interest in United besides Ineos'. So, if Ineos says £4 billion or nothing, the Glazers have two choices: Take the money or change their habit of a lifetime and stop using United as a slush fund. What's most likely?

Are we really worth 6 billion? Seems like a mental price to pay for a fecking football club.

'Scathing'. Purchase price has basically sod all to do with paid employees, Glazer puppets or not. The less a buyer has to fork out to buy the club, the more they have to put into restoring it, in theory. What a load of clickbait drivel.

Raine Group phone rings "Hi , its Jasmine from place in the Sun" "I have Sir James here with me and he loves team" " He is willing to offer 3.5 Billion and he is a cash buyer. The reason for it not being the asking price is that there is outstanding debt. He also wishes to upgrade the property as been neglected for years and in need of substantial modernisation"
