Don't think it's this.
I don’t think these journalists understand what confidential means.'Confidential'
What nonsense. Do people make money from this stuff?
What do you think it is?Don't think it's this.

What mitten said re. Dual ownership of clubs potentially in the same European competition. What do you think it is?
Andy Mitten said on yesterday's Talk Of The Devils podcast that he understands from a very well-placed source that the current delay is the non-executive directors on United's Board taking their time to review and sign-off the deal and that it is a long and tedious process.
INEOS met with UEFA recently I believeIn fairness Mitten said just last week that he thought the delay was around Nice and CL competition so who knows
The envelope was just a Christmas card! Honest!INEOS met with UEFA recently I believe
Of all the theories thrown out there for the delays, that is among the least plausible for me. They've known about this for well over a year. This isn't a problem that suddenly popped up. Red Bull did not have much trouble handling this, and you know we will hardly hear a peep about Girona. My best guess is the delays are just due to the Glazers being their typical selves, or the deal is a lot more complex than a simple 25% stake and contains a defined pathway for future equity acquisitions by the Rat Pack.In fairness Mitten said just last week that he thought the delay was around Nice and CL competition so who knows

The spot goes to the team that finishes higher in their league so City are probably not worried about ending in third while Girona finishes second in La Liga. Why is that a problem here but don’t we hear anything about Girona and Man City. Man City group own 47 percent of Girona I thought? Ratcliffe would only own 25 percent of United. And Girona is already 12 points in front of the number 5 in the Spanish league, so there is a bigger chance Girona and City will play CL next year than Nice and United.

Breaking: The INEOS deal likely to happen this year.... or the next.
City don't run the footballing operations of Girona do they?
Yes, I think it would matter. Mitten did mentioned that there are some legal issues when one owner has footballing control on two clubs in the same competition.Does that matter? Is that the difference? City have 47 percent of Girona, Ineos have only 25 percent of United.
And?The media is chatting utter shite and knows nothing. Ashworth has been at Newcastle for about 5 minutes ffs.
Hes been there for a season and can quit if he wants. The media is chatting utter shite and knows nothing. Ashworth has been at Newcastle for about 5 minutes ffs.
We'd pay compensation, just as Newcastle had to when acquiring him from Brighton.Sorry how would getting Ashworth work? He’s only just left Brighton to move to Newcastle and was on gardening leave for like 6 months. He’s going to move again?
Reading on reddit that a journalist who used to be tier 1 for Newcastle related news has mentioned it happening also. Apparently Newcastle are looking to replace him with the Technical Director from Bournemouth, who has previously worked with Howe.Ashworth is probably the best option but he won't join now. I mean he just joined Newcastle.
Oh really that sounds very promising then. We'd pay compensation, just as Newcastle had to when acquiring him from Brighton.

People talking about Ashworths work at Brighton and Newcastle but some of his best work was with England and the FA. He was the man behind England DNA and he is arguably the best man we could get to build a proper structure. Actual best in class.
Emm the fact that we're the biggest club in England ?But he just started a big project at Newcastle. How realistic is it he would leave them so soon again?

I suppose if he comes to United and in 3-5 years we're challenging for big honours and the team is playing the type of football people want to see then he'll enhance his reputation immeasurably. The pitch must have been quite impressive to steal Ashworth away from a literal endless money pit of a club.
