Club Sale | It’s done!

Why would the PL need to ratify a minority investment? Not saying you're wrong, but want to see the source for it.
You are right . They may need to verify it but it will have no bearing in our transfer dealing (assuming there is a plan to invest )

It feels like the Glazers would be violating some major laws if they were truly lying.

None of the info we've been supplied through the media is primary sourced info. It's PR. It's all rubbish info given to sections of the media with the sole aim of crafting a narrative. Even the 25% minority offer itself isn't officially recognised (not saying it's not true, merely stating it isn't even confirmed by a primary source/club, Raine, Glazers, INEOS). And if someone is breaking laws then it's leaking the tender share price offer ahead of a sale (unless it's entirely fabricated nonsense.)

Sportico have stated as much as recently as yesterday.

What would that fella from Lazy Town know about all this?

Ronay has linked Galtier's racism trial to us.

We really should be nicer to journalists

I noticed that earlier. He truly is fecking pathetic, isn't he? Simile ridden shitbag.

It feels like the Glazers would be violating some major laws if they were truly lying.

What would they need to lie about, anyway? If it's off, it'll be off.

As it was as was, we'll just have to wait and see, and hope wild conspiracy theories, amateur stock-market analysis and embittered pro-Qatar journalists are put to bed.

That said, our share price this morning has been sullied by The Crab People because they want Gaza versus Israel to continue so The Boy Jassim can't return us to glory.

Big week next day.

Conspiracy theory. Any? Are the Galziers giving up a minority stake or is this some bizarre game they're playing with our hearts?

Is he the same guy who does his best to make sure he's not criticising city?

Ironically (sic), The Guardian are cutting comments regarding the behaviour of their staff. I noticed this on their 'Football Weekly' podcast.

A poster called 'Bandromal' posted (and was banned within two minutes):

Last week, a journalist told ten Hag the press love to see United in crisis. You could taste the bitterness in their reports after United won with a good performance.

Ronay has rather dangerously associated United with Galtier this morning whereas last night's match coverage was quite bitter United won and played well.

The Mail's Mike Keegan, who backed Qatar, reckons Ratcliffe's investment is 'held up by unspecified legal issues'. The best has to be Samuel Luckhurst, who claimed 'United have responded to losing ten in twenty by banning journalists'.

The club is quite right to suppress this shit-stirring stupidity and if there is a criticism to be had, it's they did not do it sooner.

They can dish it out but cannot take it. Cowards.

How many more times do people need to be lied to by the mainstream media before they start to ask some questions?

- Board ratification in mid-October following Jassim's withdrawal.
- Wasn't supposed to be ratified so don't worry, this was a pre-planned meeting anyway
- Announcement next week
- Announcement before Thanksgiving
- Announcement before end of International Break
- Next week
- End of this week.
- Monday or Tuesday next week.
- Week after next but maybe not until after Christmas potentially February by the time PL approval.

You're being lied to.

Honestly, I think it has more to do with it being a hot scoop. Keegan's update is speculation gathered from whoever the source is. Same as ever.

If it is was nailed on for tomorrow, we'd have a thousand journalists with the EXCLUSIVE it's been pushed back until TOMORROW.

Agendas do the rest.

We can see it here, too. How many times have we heard 'nothing is definitive' yet whenever a favourable update arrives any doubt is immediately seized upon as 'proof'.

We should just be patient and see what happens.

This is dragging on far too long. I think we can all agree that we were hoping this would be in place in time for the Glazers to get most of this cash by Christmas. They have plenty of family to buy for!

That'll likely be the main thing that happens from this investment.

If I have to see one more article either claiming a deal is being announced next week or the deal is postponed, accompanied by this same photo of Jimmy looking like a tourist with that dopey smile outside of Old Trafford, I am going to be pushed over the edge into madness.

People loved taking the piss out of that one, heavily airbrushed picture of the Sheikh these journalists would always reuse. This photo of Jimmy has now reached that level of vapidity for me.

and still no mention of any possible route to a full sale either. Looking more and more disastrous as it drags on.

No, it’s not. The statement will come when the deal is finalised and announced. Calm down.
ahh yes, clearly the glazers have decided to somehow commit to a full sale down the line for a set amount that somehow jim cant pay now but will magically have more money in the future for after pumping money into the glazers pockets right now/club improvements/overhauling the entire setup here. Silly me i forgot

IF THE GLAZERS DON'T GET THIS OVER THE LINE BEFORE MY ARBITRARY DEADLINE I GOT FROM FOOTBALL365.COM WE WILL NEVER SIGN WESLEY SNEIJDER OR A NEW RIGHT-BACK AND I WILL NEVER AND EVER FOLLOW UNITED AGAIN FOR THREE MONTHS

Maybe, just maybe, none of these journalists have a single fecking clue what's going on? They're bad enough when it comes to transfers so why would they suddenly have inroads when it comes to business decisions at the club.

Here the thing the Glazers and Raine group have actually said nothing, The British media has been selling the narrative of first SJ pulling out then Sir Jim buying 25% then it will get completed next Monday, then one more week, then next week, next Monday etc ?

This is now 8 weeks on from when Fabrizo first broke the story?

Let’s assume until the club actually announces something nothing is actually set in stone or the Glazers changed their mind again and maybe they only want to sell 12.5% now, and not give football control to Sir Jim, I know there are some so called ITK who believe Qatar are still buying the club and have an 11th hour stumped up $8-9 billion but I’m not buying that either ?

Qatar have officially pulled out, chief. It isn't the 'British Media' having you on. Think of it this way: Fabrizio Romano isn't British.

The 'narrative' follows certain facts but due to demand of 'updates', various media platforms will provide speculation about such facts (provided via their sources) to meet demand.

We just need to sit tight, accept these things take time and see what happens.

The way I look at it is: it really does have to be within the next 2 weeks or the Jan transfer window will be a write off. I've waited over a year in the whole process and about 3 months since Sir Jim won it.

So I can wait 2 more weeks I guess... :nervous:

It's already more than likely too late for January. Not ideal, but it is what it is.

Ineos? More like outeos

Know it’s probably been said a million times already, but I’m not going back through 2300 pages to check
