Just doing my bit to help, although 20k is nothing in the scheme of things.Flex much?
The Sixth Street rumors definitely have me worried.I cannot contemplate minority investment
The Sixth Street rumors definitely have me worried. Apparently, they have been considering an investment in United for a while now....before the Glazers made their desire to sell public.

Lots of people care about this. Just because you’re an absolute arsehole doesn’t mean everybody else is.This is some moral fecking bullshit. Nobody cares about this. You're not gonna change these countries by virtue signalling. They are what they are. And we have absolutely no chance of competing with the oil clubs, nor will they go away simply because we refused them. I'd understand your logic if United were the first or even the second oil club, but the league is fecking full of them now and it's only going to get worse from here on out. We either jump on the train or have someone like Liverpool or Arsenal or some fecking wee club jump on it. At any rate, nothing is going to change. You're going to be left sucking your thumb like an idiot while United falls into irrelevancy and the league is still filled with oil clubs.
If you care about this so much, then why don't you go to Saudi Arabia and try to fix this?Lots of people care about this. Just because you’re an absolute arsehole doesn’t mean everybody else is.
It's impossible not to. I don't have any evidence to back it up, but I'm certain that this will be the best season we'll have for another ten years. By the summer we'll have a new minority shareholder in Soccerball Liquidation Corp, propping up the Glazers as United don't buy any new players, selling off all property assets apart from the Stadium and Carrington, all the while waiting for the resurgence of the Super League. And then the meteor will strike. Anyone who survives the blast will be inseminated with robot spider eggs. The minority thing is not happening. Please stop worrying.
Because I quite like my body parts being connected to my body.If you care about this so much, then why don't you go to Saudi Arabia and try to fix this?
Not happening since it makes no sense for an investor at this stage when the Glazers are on the ropes. Especially since they already know it will be to fund more Glazer extraction of funds from the business and pay off Glazer induced debtIt's impossible not to. I have him on block for a reason.Lots of people care about this. Just because you’re an absolute arsehole doesn’t mean everybody else is.
I’d rather it was resolved properly in the long term benefit of the club. One transfer window will be neither here nor there, if it even comes to that which I doubt.I really want this to be resolved quickly, it feels like we won't make any sort of moves in the market with an eye for the summer until the new owners are in place. We could really miss out on a few targets if we don't start to lay the groundwork now.
I agree with this. It looks like in the end it's going to come down to some American PE consortium vultures solely looking at the purchase of United as a financial investment or a ME investor with a deep desire to win for the sake of their pride and their country's pride. In that case, give me the ME investors each and every time. They're proven that when they buy a team they make investments all the way down the line into every little facet of the club and know how to effectively run a club and hire the right personnel. No short cuts will be taken in the name of increasing profits. They're there to win. This is some moral fecking bullshit. Nobody cares about this. Nope, that sounds too reasonable. And that's when they'll strike! Not happening since it makes no sense for an investor at this stage when the Glazers are on the ropes. What makes you think the Glazers are on the ropes? They're not on the ropes financially and not all of them actually want to sell, they are selling because they seem to think they've go0tten as much out as they can but they aren't strapped for cash that they have to sellNot happening since it makes no sense for an investor at this stage when the Glazers are on the ropes. Then you're doing what I said - virtue signalling. It's easy to talk behind the PC and how abhorrent foreign governments are but you're unwilling to do anything about it. Instead you just whine on forums about how bad they are like that's gonna do anything. The world is shitty all around and United is already owned by a bunch of corrupt leeches. Grow up.Because I quite like my body parts being connected to my body.
I thought I’d accidentally clicked on the Andrew Tate thread for a moment there.Genocide aside, Hitler got the trains running on time and built up the autobahns.
Why do you think they are seeking investment or possible sale? You think its because they are in a great position financially? They are on the ropes. What makes you think the Glazers are on the ropes? How is it virtue signalling? You just throw buzzwords around without understanding them like some Trump wannabe. You know jack shit about me or anybody else you attacks lives but want to act superior because you’re quite content keeping your head in the sand about any issues that don’t directly effect your life. Then you're doing what I said - virtue signalling. Actually they aren't on the ropes, their thinking is that they have taken out as much as they can without actually investing any money, to make more money they need to put money in which they don't want to do, in other words they've bled out what they can and now want to cash inWhy do you think they are seeking investment or possible sale? Because when I asked what you've done about it, you've basically said nothing. How is whining on this forum going to help turn the Middle East into your version of happiness? How is them owning United going to 'directly affect your life' anyway? They'll ban gays coming to Old Trafford or something? If I had to guess given how they've ran City, you probably won't see them at all, instead there's going to be someone like Beckham in charge of the club. I would have understood your moral crusade if it had any basis or purpose. But at this stage it's senseless and directionless. Why don't you go out and protest against the fecking FA that allowed this cancerous shit in the league anyway? How is it virtue signalling? Maybe you should grow up, or at least grow a backbone.
You didn’t even ask what I’d done about it, you asked why I wasn’t in Saudi Arabia. The fact you think these two questions are equitable sums up how much of a moron you are and why so much as reading any other responses you make is entirely pointless.Because when I asked what you've done about it, you've basically said nothing. Wouldn't it just mean that dividends are shared out to more people?Surely if it was a minority investment then the Glazers would be forbidden from drawing dividends or piling any more debt on the club?

Unless United’s new owners have limitless wealth and are willing to pump it into the club, not a single club in the world has the capacity to spend over £1b on a new stadium and buy players in the current transfer market. So you can hypothetically talk about what healthy clubs do but the reality is healthy clubs balance the books.

Players won’t give a shite when they look at the contract they are about to sign. Plus the club history and manager will also be important to someI think the modern player likes to have the best training facilities available. It could be the difference between a player joining or not.
The few million it would take to upgrade the training ground would be money well spent.
Having an opinion on this is fine, but i'm honestly sick of this pandering. Why aren't you guys having an opinion about the FA allowing this in the first place, like I asked in my previous post? I haven't seen one of you guys, not even once, criticize the English government body for ruining the league? They are the ones in power, they are the ones you should be complaining about. Whether United gets owned by a sheikh club or not, it really doesn't change a goddamn thing. They'll either own us or move to some other club. How much will you people stand on your moral high ground while the club falls into irrelevancy? And what is any of this going to change? You ain't convincing anyone, certainly not the leaders of those countries that don't give a single oil barrel about what you think of them and their laws.So if you personally can't directly affect something you should just abdicate yourself from having an opinion? I don't think so.
Merely being against something and stating so has an effect, epecially if many people feel the same and are prepared to say so long and loud. Even if nothing then changes trying is very important as nothing happens if nobody tries.
Just because an owner with lots of cash and no immeidate need for an economic return sounds good in many ways I don't want fossil fuel washing to occur via the club, be it from the Middle East or a Russian Oil billionairre, not to mention the various ethical issues I'd have with such ownerships. The Glazers are terrible but I'd like the least shit new owners as posible and that certainly isn't from oil money.
If we end up owned by the Saudis or similar I suspect that will be the last nail in the coffin of my love affair with football. The last decade has battered this already of course.
He might have some interest in sport afterall
