Because what idiot pumps over a billion into a club without having a concrete route to a takeover? This won’t be ifs and buts, this will be a roadmap to a full takeover with a binding contract.
Ineos won’t pump this much in to end up with nothing.
its a means to and end, and we will find out soon because of the stock exchange listing.
Sporting control and Glazer exit timeline. The 2nd best offer we can hope for here. Qatar were a billion short in offer (only 5billion in Glazers pockets), all that is left then outside of Ineos is hedge funds which is 1000000% worse than Ineos
Genuine question for you but also to all those that are buying into this ‘gradual takeover’ PR line…
Firstly, consider the following 2 facts -
1. Ratcliffe cannot afford to match, let alone outbid Jassim’s current bid.
2. The Glazers are said to want far in excess of Jassim’s bid (a bid that Jim can’t even
match, let alone outdo).
So, my question is, at what point do you see either of the following occurring -
1. Brexit Jim can suddenly blow what Jassim was offering out of the water… but he can’t do it now.
2. The Glazers suddenly are happy to receive less money to sell the club completely.
Because for them to leave, 1 of those 2 possibilities has to occur.
Yet, neither of these possibilities seem to make any logical sense at all, do they?
What will occur that means Jim can suddenly blow Jassim’s bid away?
Why on Earth will the Glazers, in ‘3 years’ time want less money than they do now?
What we do know, for fact, is the following -
1. The Glazers desperately need more money in order to remain at United.
2. Brexit Jim cannot afford to buy Utd but wants to be involved in Utd.
So, does it not make more (far more) sense that what you’re looking at is a situation where the Glazers are receiving their investment from Jim Brexit while the line of a ‘gradual takeover’ - something which, as laid out above, makes absolutely zero sense on any level - is trotted out to appease a disgruntled yet gullible fanbase?
