Club Sale | It’s done!

I had no hope for this to turn into something positive the way it has dragged on and on and on. It really looks like the scum weren't sure themselves whether to sell or not. Seems they couldn't agree to a full sale so are going with this shitty proposal.

I don't mind the stadium either, but the roof is still an issue. Apar from that it's still iconic. But for the club's future income the stadium needs renovation/upgrade as it's not seen as a top venue anymore and other clubs are catching up. Fan experience also is different now/in the future than before. Like it or not, this is really important.

Why is that important?

I love going. So does @Utd heap. Do you know anyone who goes who hates it?

Yeah we'll be back soon, absolutely delusional.
Football goes in cycles. We may be in a shit period (relative to our standards), but as always, we'll return up there. Might not be now, might be in 5-10 years, but that's fine. Do things the right away and you can still be proud of your football club, as there is more to it than just battering every team, every game.

Don't know why some of you are so upset. If Qatar wanted the club then they would have got the deal done. They didn't.

Qatar wanted the club but the trouble is the Glazers wanted to keep it just a liiiiiitle but more.

As long as the guarantees of majority control are in place then at least it means we will be rid of the Glazers soon.

Hopefully this gets accepted or we are fecked forever

How even that would work? What guarantees? Glazers will say "we promise that we will sell in 5 years"?
Sorry, but that is complete bs.

I think that's right. I think the class A shareholders don't have anything to take glazers to court now. @Woziak thoughts?
Ineos have offered a 25% investment to class A and Class B shares, it would be almost impossible now for the Class A shareholders to object as Qatar offer is no longer on the table and therefore this is the only option on the table. I’ve spoke. To a pal in Qatar and apparently SJ/92 made another bid 48 hours ago which was circa £5.7-5.8 billion with the debt of £700m to be deducted.

So there was a sixth offer which was rejected, instantly and the Glazers apparently asked. for £7 billion inclusive of debt for their 69% shares at which point SJ/92 rejected the bid, hence INEOS leaking yesterday, we should hear confirmation of 25% INEOS investment very shortly and a puff piece from the British press about how good Jimmy The Rat will be for the club going forward !!!

RIP Manchester United.

Glory to the incompetent stooges who might help prop up the Glazers.

'Cos we dont have loadsa cash?

We’ve already spent a shit ton of cash and have done for years under the Glazers, the problem is we’ve spent it terribly and I expect that to continue as they’re staying and looking at INEOS’s track record with running football clubs I don’t think their influence will help matters much. Not to mention the debt remains!

What's with this stadium hyperbole? It needs a lick of paint but it's an iconic huge ground? Give me OT over the new shite anyday.

Invest in the training facilities etc yeh great. Screams of a bunch of people who've never been before talking bollocks.

Love OT, but the stadium is light years behind others. The club could be packing in another 15k people and making far more revenue from a new stadium.

Agree re the training ground. The buildings may not be as modern as others, but i would love to know what other training grounds have that Carrington doesn't.

Plus Glazers can’t sell the other shareholders A class shares
It’s horse shit. I can believe Jim wants to buy the club after buying 25 percent and thats with the view of a full takeover means. Anyone believing Glazers will tie themselves down one this are insane

Genuinely want to see us relegated just so the Glazers are severely out of pocket.

Jim is a fecking clown, they argued with you a whole year about selling the club, do you think they'll sell you the rest of the club so easy ? how naïve are you ? or that you're just stupid.

Ah right, so you guys believe they should just pay whatever ridiculous valuation the Glazers have, "if they want it" - despite the fact that their bid was already way above what the club is actually worth. Fair enough
Yeah? They wanted 6 and apparently his last offer was between 5.2 to 5.5 with investment included depending on reports. Pennies to their wealth. He could have said yes we’ll pay the 6 and had it wrapped up months ago most likely. They’re the sellers they can demand what they want, rightly or wrongly, and he kept offering lower than they wanted. I get you are emotional because you clearly wanted Qatar but the reality is they have enough unlimited wealth to blow anyone out the water and chose not to, irrespective of the Glazers greed.

I think the era of 'cycles' has ended to be honest. 'Cycles' existed when the playing field was somewhat level. City are way ahead of everyone anyway, but unless they suddenly get sold I don't think anyone's catching them. Well, except Newcastle of course but by the time they get to the top no-one will be catching them either.

I’d much rather have the Glazers out of control for the on pitch stuff at the very least. I hope to hell INEOS isn’t just going to be some pocket bitch for the Glazers. This stuff about a staggered takeover better be true, otherwise this is a massive waste of time.

My view of this is neither Qatar or INEOS are certain good owners and both carry the risk of being total feckups.

It’s weird how 25 years ago people were saying they didn’t want the club to be sold to some billionaire and his company, and now people are saying they didn’t want the club to be sold to some prince and his country, as we look to be partly sold to a billionaire and his company.

It's a very silly very problematic arrangement even with assurances. Just feels like 2 desperados who want to say they own us even at the cost of complicating our wellbeing

You do realise this a very divisive issue? You might be annoyed, I would have been annoyed if we released a Chelsea style statement. It's a subjective political issue and the club has handled it well.

I don't think the barbaric attack on Israeli citizens should be divisive at all. You can criticise that clearly and seperately, and also criticise the terrible harm being caused to the innocent people in Gaza.

Personally I don't really care about how the FA, the PL, UEFA, United or any club or athlete respond. However, many other people in Israel tend to be very sensitive toward such things. That includes United fans. it becomes even more sensitive when the pro leagues in the USA and sports franchises there respond in a very different and in a very clear way against Hamas.

Ratcliffe will be dead long before any plan to acquire 100% of the club comes to fruition.

And we know his track record of hiring utterly incompetent people for these projects anyway.

Could this deal have been impacted by the fact that Giazers are of Jewish descent and Quatar being a Muslim state, after recent happenings?

If anything it will be down to them funding and protecting a known terrorist group and we might even see official sanctions soon against doing business with those known to find such groups, as we often do after significant events such as last Saturday and the week just gone.

I see you see in Israel. I hope you are safe!

Everyone needs to boycott EVERYTHING, don’t go to games and I mean and empty OT, do not put any money to sponsors. But people won’t will they, they will keep going to games and keep putting money into the pockets of these fecking VILE fecking cretins. I’m furious FFS, how the feck are they allowed to get away with this shit.

Exactly this. But our top reds will do another sit in while buying more drinks and food! We deserve everything we get and believe me things are only going to get one hell of a lot worse with SJR and the Glazers.

The game has been ruined and not just by the Galzers but also the City’s the PSG’s etc. I’m done.

I would rather just stick with the Glazer and have to deal with one set of cnuts, if SJR gets involved they will tag team the shit out of this club.

He already ownes 2 clubs if he was a half decent owner they would be challenging for trophies, they are mid table mediocrity.
Jim is in for his share of the dividends.

His share of the dividends it makes zero sense, why would you spend 1.5bn or whatever to make a paltry 3m per year... he won't even come close to breaking even considering he's 70.

The other 2 clubs have massively different requirements and goals than that of Manchester United so they are irrelevant.

The Sheikh was never a real bid, they were invited to bid, it was even reported at the time, the primary purpose was to get Ratcliffe to bid more... imo.

How even that would work? What guarantees? Glazers will say "we promise that we will sell in 5 years"?
Sorry, but that is complete bs.

In business purchases you can essentially have "put options" that are triggered on specific dates.

Agreed staged purchases are a thing.

Ben Jacobs just said SJRs bid is 25% with a guaranteed path to majority control.

Also said as Qatar has pulled out he is expecting that's because news of this bid being accepted should come out in the next week.

Essentially Qatar where probably told they are going with Ineos.

Personally don't think he knows anything but just putting it on here anyway
This could very well be true

you dont remember liverpool sticking 7 past us, and city 5,6 etc? How about players cant be arsed to play while being paid a kings randsom? Good times, soul etc
Yeah they are part of the mediocrity problem. The club is infected with mediocrity from top to bottom. Imagine a real Madrid fan saying I had memories of the past 10 years.

I hope Jim is nothing like them. Because if he is, then we are doomed.

TalkSports report that Shiekh Jassim has pulled out is complete and utter nonsence and is just false info being leaked by Raibe group to cover for tbe fact that despure everyone involved in the takeover has signed a strict NDA the news that the Glazers have signed off on the sale to Shiekh Jassim still got leaked.

Shiekh Jassim knows that 99% of genuine Man Utd fans want his bid to be successful rather than the partly Saudi funded bid from Sir Jim and INEOS so there is no way he would just pull out.
what utter tripe

Jim isn’t putting up any money without a pathway to owning majority shares and having some input on where his money will be spent. He doesn’t need United as an investment and he certainly isn’t here for a passive investor status.
Jim isn’t putting up any money. INEOS are and their goal will be the exact same as the Glazers.
