Yeah, it's great when we get trashed at home. I loved how good it was when City, Liverpool schooled us at home.

Don't worry, more great atmosphere to come!

When did Liverpool school us at home last year? I was there when we beat them in the prem mate.

and arsenal
And barcelona

Could this deal have been impacted by the fact that Giazers are of Jewish descent and Quatar being a Muslim state, after recent happenings?
Would be a hell of a coincidence given the timing. They kept their offer on the table for god knows how long, and now they suddenly told them to piss off.

For a 70 year old this is a bold deal if it includes an option to fully takeover the club in the future. I wouldn't have that patience with that age. Then again I'm not a billionaire.

This reminds me of two things from the early weeks of this ‘process’:

1. People talking about Ratcliffe as the guy who wins these deals by being the last guy standing. Here we’re are, 10 months later or whatever it is.
Yep matt slater from the athletic pretty much said something similar at the very start of the sale. This is how Ratcliffe/Ineos operated.

Could this deal have been impacted by the fact that Giazers are of Jewish descent and Quatar being a Muslim state, after recent happenings?
Possibly. If the Glazers have strong ties to Israel then maybe. Or perhaps they were under pressure from their community with respect to doing business with Qatar, a state known for harbouring Hamas leaders. However it may have nothing to do with it at all.

The extra 1.5bn was INCLUDED in the bid, not instead of. .. Qatar has been told numerous times the valuation is 6bn, not 4.5bn plus whatever else for the club, the glazer family wanted 6bn, greedy as feck but they states what the fee was... Qatar didn't wanna pay up.

TalkSports report that Shiekh Jassim has pulled out is complete and utter nonsence and is just false info being leaked by Raibe group to cover for tbe fact that despure everyone involved in the takeover has signed a strict NDA the news that the Glazers have signed off on the sale to Shiekh Jassim still got leaked.

Shiekh Jassim knows that 99% of genuine Man Utd fans want his bid to be successful rather than the partly Saudi funded bid from Sir Jim and INEOS so there is no way he would just pull out.

He has pulled out. Deal with it.

Ah yeh, the guy worth tens of billions is coming for the £3million dividends.
He is never going to blow money on facilities or the like, he is a frugal business man making a business investment. He isn't trying to get a piece of United because it's a dream or fancy new hobby.

He believes there is a profit to be made whatever the game is. He isn't risking money.

But what do I know really.

Fecks sake the fecking leeches survive to siphon off a few billion more. I fecking hate the Glazers so much

He already ownes 2 clubs if he was a half decent owner they would be challenging for trophies, they are mid table mediocrity.
Jim is in for his share of the dividends.

Of course. The guy worth tens of billions is coming for a couple million.

Makes absolutely perfect sense. Let's ignore that he can take more in one years dividends from Ineos than he could ever take from United if he lived for another 50 years but alas, he's coming for the pocket change.

A cunning plan indeed.

Tbh, owned by a state club would’ve been a devastating blow. This has got to me the best United news all season. Let’s hope Ratcliffe wins a majority bid and gets some football people in charge.

Hate to say I told you so.
This isn’t good news.

My mate who told me this way back also told me about the dreaded INEOS curse. Which is widely known in sporting circles.

I can't get my head round why people are ready to jump off a cliff here.

There is no way that Ineos and Radcliffe are going to stop at 25% of the club. It makes zero business sense to do so. This is clearly a stepping stone towards majority control.

We may not get all debt cleared, new stadium etc, but the end result will mean The Glazers will no longer be in control of this football club, which for me, is the major issue. That is a massive improvement on Glazer control.

I reckon people who think Inoes/Radcliffe will be much of an improvement over the Glazers are going to be in for a bit of a shock.

Everyone needs to boycott EVERYTHING, don’t go to games and I mean and empty OT, do not put any money to sponsors. But people won’t will they, they will keep going to games and keep putting money into the pockets of these fecking VILE fecking cretins. I’m furious FFS, how the feck are they allowed to get away with this shit.

What's with this stadium hyperbole? It needs a lick of paint but it's an iconic huge ground? Give me OT over the new shite anyday.

Invest in the training facilities etc yeh great. Screams of a bunch of people who've never been before talking bollocks.

It's the top journos that are reporting that seems to be briefed by the Qatari side, it's over.

Where are thouse Journos getting their info? It cant be from the bidders themselves as they are under strict NDA's, its more than likely fake info thats been released similar to loads if the other so called genuine info that was released over the last 12 months but turned out to be fake.

Any info on what their plan for Man Utd actually is?

How does one curse the already cursed

Qatar should've also been more flexible but they wanted 100 per cent and nothing else. Jim offered many options and it looks like he'll get a slice of the pie.

The shock is when they replace Murthough with an actual footballing man, someone like Paul Mitchell

Why are people tripping? Nothing to worry about.

Sheikh has forced Glazers hands now. As I said earlier, it's decision time for Glazers.

If Glazers wanted Jim bid they would have accepted it long time ago, if still they wanted Qatari bid they would have accepted it long time ago.
And also if Glazers found no good offer THEY would have said they are not selling the club because no good offer was made.

They have done none of this.
Glazers have been taking their time, without making a decision.

Qatari have now forced Glazers hands to make a decision of either of the 3 ( to stay, minority to Jim or to sell to Qatari). Qatari have said they have pulled out. '2 choices' remain now. Glazers have to decide what to do as they themselves they said they are looking for strategic opportunities last. They need to conclude what they started.

Probably the Qatari had 1 year as time frame to conclude the transaction. A business transaction can not stay in a limbo for years. So it's Glazers time to make a decision.

Here's a few opinions for you all

Manchester United do not need to be state owned to compete in the transfer market.

Old Trafford does not need major redevelopment. It needs amends but is still the finest ground in this country. It does not need a five star hotel or a restaurant. This is a bizarre development in modern football.

There is very little wrong with Ratcliffe purchasing a minority stake and acquiring full ownership within next 3-5 years. Its a far better option than Qatari state ownership. The whole "full sale only" message has always been a cover up for people begging to be state owned.

Longer term, there needs to be fan representation within the club but this is a long game. This is a win for now.

And I don’t want that cretin SJR anywhere near the club with his keeping the Glazers in……..furious FFS

You do realise this a very divisive issue? You might be annoyed, I would have been annoyed if we released a Chelsea style statement. It's a subjective political issue and the club has handled it well.

That's fine, but INEOS keeping the Glazers in control is the worst case scenario. We've been "in pain" for 10 years now and there's no light at the end of the tunnel. This club will not consistently be a big club under the Glazers, it's that simple. We'll have the name but that's about it.
Glazers are not the worst case scenario. They're shite owners yes, but we're still a normal football club, not a political toy, not owned by a country with... Controversial ethics to put it mildly. Even all morality aside... I don't want to win or succeed by simply becoming a superpower who can spend like Chelsea did last season, but every year. Buying success is just not it. It doesn't give the same pride, doesn't give the same satisfaction when the success does come. It turns into anything but 1st place in every competition being a failure no matter what, and that's just not it for me.

Can get pride in your club by doing things the proper way and not just spending billions (more than we already do).

And in pain... Well we dominated for 20 years. Saw more success in that period than most will ever see. And in the past 10 years, we've also won 4 trophies (more than all Prem sides bar City, Liverpool and Chelsea). So... Yeah. If that's our "rock bottom" period, then I can live with that, because we'll get back up too

100% we need some sort of news now. It’s getting utterly ridiculous at this point. Needs sorting the the stadium fixing for starters.
I am thinking it makes little sense for Jassim to announce his withdrawal unless a deal with INEOS is imminent, trying to save face.

Sick to my stomach the deal is just 25% now with nothing but hope for a future complete takeover. There needs to be something defined and binding in there or this is just unacceptable for fans. Glazers and investors would pocket the money, and INEOS will not be as motivated to invest big money when they only have a 25% stake.

It will be interesting to see if the investment funds are satisfied with this (potential) deal with INEOS. They stood to gain a huge return immediately from Jassim's reported offer. Questions will undoubtedly be asked of the Glazers and the Board on how exactly they plan to increase shareholder value in a way that exceeds that offer.

Ben Jacobs just said SJRs bid is 25% with a guaranteed path to majority control.

Also said as Qatar has pulled out he is expecting that's because news of this bid being accepted should come out in the next week.

Essentially Qatar where probably told they are going with Ineos.

Personally don't think he knows anything but just putting it on here anyway

Lots of reports has said otherwise

Nope.

Bloomberg in their recent article reports no such clauses and guarantees. Just an offer to buy 25%. Buying anything more will be a matter of future deliberations, which would be further complicated by the interests of the independent shareholders. The Glazers will pocket the money currently being offered, then drag it out until Ratcliffe dies. They are good at this, if you haven't noticed. With him out of the picture, they will just have to deal with INEOS, and INEOS's intentions at that point would be unknown. But given they are a for-profit corporation, and the football clubs in general are bad investments, Manchester United especially so considering the financial situation, it is fair to assume INEOS would not look favourably on Ratcliffe's vanity project. And then it's anyone's game.

I don't mind the stadium either, but the roof is still an issue. Apar from that it's still iconic. But for the club's future income the stadium needs renovation/upgrade as it's not seen as a top venue anymore and other clubs are catching up. Fan experience also is different now/in the future than before. Like it or not, this is really important.

Could be more about buying a club for £5b won’t look good to many, if it got announced tomorrow far from celebrations most of the Muslim world, probably also inside Qatar, would be questioning spending £5b on a club when Gaza needs aid and investment. There will be debates about £5b could go to research and development to reduce reliance on US military protection.

Basically it it is connected to the conflict. It’s less about Glazers and more about the PR of spending £5b reflecting badly at this
