There's articles just today repeating what was said last week, that the Qatari group have never heard back from the Glazers. Or that the Qatar bid was actually the more complicated of the two. Pick and choose what you believe but there is enough out there to cast doubt on either parties bid. Its a fools game at this point to be confident in anything. I'm actually leaning towards thinking the Glazers will stay at this point.

Edit bear in mind you having a go at posting Qatar wins post every day based on the FT editor telling us to only follow trusted sources to now saying those trusted sources are basically shit.
 
Part of me would like to see Qatar and Ratcliffe just pull the plug on any deal and both walk away, the Glazers would absolutely deserve that tbf.

The difference between other acquisitions and the Manchester United one is that Manchester United attracts huge attention in a way that steel company being sold to a hedge fund wouldn't.

It's not misinformation per se. It's just kids enjoying a wum the same way they do on every other topic that has a big audience. You get similar shitposting on discussions about Taylor Swift or the latest Marvel movie. I think Arash has been living a sheltered life.
 
Twitter news sources announced earlier this year that WWE had been bought by the Saudis. Everyone went mental, stock prices up and down like fecking yo-yos. Turned out it wasnt true. Man United are similar in the sense that when you are a pop culture jugganaut, its barmy.

Because he’s not buying 100% of the club, he’s just trying to take control of the club.

Totally agree he can do it after he’s bought 69% but then the debt would have to be paid immediately by SJ because that’s what he has briefed in his wish to buy 100% of the club.

I doubt it. Their number don't add up. It's a question of time scale and who they sell to. One nailed on fact is that the siblings want to sell. It might take a day or a year.

I think they'll leave soon. Before the start of the season. There's no way they're in charge come our first game. The backlash and protests would be epic.

I’m generally a pessimist when it comes to Glazers. It feels like everything do is a disappointment. However, I think they will leave. I doubt that they went this far, having buyers bid 4-5 times, and them not really spending, they haven’t spend on the infrastructure, stadium, etc and it seems like that the money dried up.
I doubt they will hold off selling now, unless they stay with SJR, but that’s a different topic.
