Club Sale | It’s done!

Yep a left winger that's exactly what this squad is crying out for. Because we've only got Rashford, Sancho and Garnacho for that position.
Sancho is preferred on the right , Rashford could be up top as Martial will be injured and Garnacho is still raw

Okay, so who had a staff leaving message deadline on their Glazer sale Bingo card?

This guy is a serial WUM so obviously not treating it seriously

But the idea of anyone at United recording them a goodbye message is quite funny. I doubt any of them have ever spoken to them in person

And the idea that the Glazers would want one is ridiculous. They don't care if everyone at United dies as long as it doesn't affect their wallets

I can’t buy that while an NDA is on, the Glazers/senior managers want the cleaners and shop staff to record a leaving message for Avi and Joel. No chance!

“Huge news on the sale of the club”:lol::lol:

If this is true, given how unpopular the Glazers are with the staff, the fact that it will be an extreme exercise in lying, beyond the terms of any employment contract, you would hope that more stuff will be leaked particularly if they are actually leaving on Friday.

Messages

You have been so good
You have shown me such kindness
As a simple toilet cleaner I can only thank you for keeping me in a full time job with overtime
Good luck with the future

Spot the sincere message.

News on the sale being close took another twist today, as Doris from the Man Utd megastore was seen leaving Clintons with a giant "Sorry You're Leaving" card.

Tbf. They may not have been the greatest paymasters for the staff. But they didn't retrench anyone through the Covid years --- unlike many other clubs. Give credit where credit's due.

I swear every other outlet have reported both parties have been negotiating every detail as if they’ve won so the takeover happens quickly when one is given the green light?
Thanks Jamie.

Journalists rehashing the same shite again and again and again.

Fans want updates, when the Glazers have no idea what they are doing, how are the journalists supposed to know.

I rather them say it how it is rather than say its close or one party is in the lead. It is clear, no one including the Glazers know what they are doing.

Some of them want to sell, some want to stay, some want more money.. its a fecking mess.

Since when is the Qatar offer worth £6n. That article sounds like bullshit.

What a nothing article! Its almost as though the journalist thinks, I'd just rehash a couple of sentences, get the aggregator websites to quote me and then report back to the bosses that I have got more clicks for the websites!

They know jacks**t and should be ignored. We'll know when everyone knows!

People like Jamie Jackson know feck all it isn't a football story. Their sources will be trash tier at best.

This is the guy involved with the Richard Arnold pub interview - I think he does know people within the club, but how credible the comment is, is unclear. I'd imagine the only send off messages from people at the club that were even remotely positive, would be from the likes of the senior back office staff on the gravy train.

Yes and why would this happen now? It's not like they're leaving next week, even if an announcement is made today. Sending this kind of mass message is more or less a guarantee leak as well, which is why it would never happen until an official announcement has been made.

Arash Massoudi editor for the Financial Times just tweeted after Jackson's article:

"Been a finance reporter for over a decade, the misinformation during the Manchester United sale process is extraordinary. A majority of what you read is wrong. Stick to trusted news outlets, not Twitter."

The 5th bid has always been a total offer of £6bn, it’s been reported inaccurately because of NDA’s.

They agreed to pay the debt which is £535m plus £40m left on credit card, this is the real reason the Glazers are not spending money for transfers, part of the deal is that SJ would pay all the historical and club debt not amortised transfer debt (still owed £308m) it’s about £575m - £6bn which means the bid minus the debt is about £5.425bn which is what was reported in a lot of publications. I keep saying if it happens, the final numbers are going to shock most fans, the Greedy Glazers wanted all the debt paid and then £6bn, it’s why reports from Qatar have said they are so greedy and they keep changing the goal posts after deals are actually agreed!

I've heard the Glazers have booked a party in Weathspoons Bishops Blaize. 2 drinks each vouchers and a slap up 3.99 steak dinner for the staff!

If indeed that's the case, those clowns really are one greedy bunch.

Debt is such a standard part of a valuation and ours is all due to them, not even investment in the asset. The day we see the back of them, the whole club would breathe a sign of relief.

Jamie Jackson has literally made a career by being negative about us. He's an ABU that thrives on the hate, I've been ignoring him for years.

Love reading your posts in this thread. You sure know a lot about the numbers behind this!

Would be disappointing but great news at the same time, if the alternative is getting sold to Qatar. But reads a bit like a clickbait article without any new informations.

Edit: I mean the guardian piece, not the mirror one, which is from hell

All I ask is that people keep an open mind, you can’t quote any specific number when under an NDA and the vagueness of the quotes reported are for a reason, it will all come out soon and I don’t know what the actual number to the last penny is, but I have contacts in the city and they are all saying the 5th bid was huge, much higher than a lot thought or was reported with various financial clauses attached. That’s why there have been articles recently saying it could cost up to $8bn in total. The bid is just not as simple as the Chelsea one where all debt owed to the owner, Roman Abrahamovic which was written off by the owner, that was a clean sale and still the £2.3bn paid has not gone to it’s intended recipient.
We’ve been quoted anything from $5bn, £5bn, £5.8bn but (£800m is for future investment). No one knows but the rumour around the financial sector was the 5th bid was nearly £6bn including debt pay off.

And the worst part is, the Glazers still want more ?
