Bizarre comment - Jassim has been pictured at Old Trafford, how on earth would you know what kind of fan he is? Or maybe you think overseas fans don't count ?

Don't you support FC United anyway? Do you go to Old Trafford?

Has he?

No worries pal. I guess for this club to move forward from the glazers it’s going to take incredible wealth. There’s not many out there with that wealth who meets the criteria in terms of ethics, so we have few options. If Delia Smith had 10 billion to blow on a football club im sure we’d all be begging her to sell Norwich and buy us :)
Yeah, despite all the hype and publicity only ONE came forward with the intention of buying 100%.

No fans own their clubs in the PL. If it means we’re debt free and have a set of owners who instead of bleeding the club dry actually invest in the club with the ambition of returning us to the top then bring it fecking on!!

We are the closest to it I guess - owned by a lifelong fan who used to bunk off school to go watch us. Didn’t need multiple billions to but us though :D

They said the other day that final accounts would be 30th June which is strange but yes they came out with a statement, I may be wrong ant it might have been end of July. There is more pressure now because of the FSP rule. It’s a big deal and UEFA will be monitoring this closely.
I think they mean final accounts will be up to 30th June. Fully audited annual accounts I’d guess are at least 3 months away if not more. Last years were published on 23rd September

These bidders are two of the most confident guys ever. No matter how many times they get played for fools by a bunch of people whose entire looks could be described as “ageing sex offender chic”, the two lads are absolutely delighted with themselves.

A sugar daddy is one thing.

Being taking over by a state is another very different thing. The current top three PL clubs being owned by effectively three nation states should have people concerned.

Too many people want football to be like Ultimate Team.

Totally agree with this - a massive shame as United don’t even need a financial cheat code like the other two do.

I often wonder if any of Glazers read some of this press that they’re getting and are embarrassed by it? Or is this all just to spite the Manchester United fan base? That seems ridiculous but I’m starting to think it might not be so fanciful.

It would appear they are being ridiculed even from the business community at this point and for people like them reputation is everything right? But they either don’t care because of they’re hatred towards us or they are they are completely incompetent. I guess greed comes into it too but I’m starting to think it’s gone beyond that now.

The only ‘massive shame’ is how Utd has been bled and sucked dry by a family of crooks for 20 years.

Come back and comment when your club has been run into the ground for 2 fecking decades.

So, it's got nothing to do with the complexity of the deal, or approval, or anything at all. It's just because the cretins can't agree amongst themselves. Yes, that sounds on par for the course. Getting rid of these greedy psychopaths will be as big as the treble.

There are some indications that they are insecure people because when Ratcliffe and Jassim released their statements the Glazers were reportedly butthurt over the use of language like "bring Manchester United back to where they belong" because that suggested that they hadn't run the club well. On the other hand, they seem to give zero fecks about being utterly hated by hundreds of millions of people, so I don't know really.

I do think the Glazers resent Utd, have said so many times.

I also think this process now is getting embarrassing and damaging their image surely.

There was a point in the sale where they could get away with seeming ‘ruthless’ and greedy. But it’s reached the point now where they’re being shown up as dithering, incompetent and unprofessional.

They clearly don’t even know if they want to sell, yet have come so far down the road that if they turn around and back out there will (rightly) be riots and so much negative press it will actively damage them.

They should be pressured from every possible by fans to INVEST and back ETH, that is something they must not be let off the hook for.

We mustn’t coast through the transfer window focussing on the ‘sale’ and ignoring who actually owns the club right now and thus should be investing RIGHT NOW.

We have to contend with Arsenal now, ARSENAL. This takeover couldn’t have come at a better time to be honest.

The exact two wankers Jimbo wants to run the club with

It will never happen they're just a pair of greedy cnuts. They would be transfering financial risk to their siblings to make more themselves.

Ha crooks for owners all too aware of that scenario - you don’t have a monopoly on that unfortunately.

It's not that they don't want to sell. It's just that it's not reached the price they want to make them want to sell yet. Everyone has a price as the say.

It's more that there is no more money on offer so they're trying to rip each other off.

just got off 15 hour flight with no internet and stuff has happened it seems

Not really. The Qatari’s are feeling confident again meanwhile the Glazer parasites are still dithering over what to do. So nothings changed really. I fully expect we’ll see reports tomorrow pouring cold water over the slight glimmer of hope something might be happening, as per usual.

The best thing that could happen now is for the qataris to say to the parasites if we havent in writing got an agreed sale by Monday then we are pulling out. You will be done in Qatar as well. (We all know its a state buyout). They would shit the bed and by the weekend an agreed sale would be done.

One of the only things everyone can agree on is that nothing has actually happened.

However, we do have a reliable report of Qatar currently being confident. We have previously had about a month's worth of reports of Ineos being confident - nobody has reported whether or not Ineos are still confident (perhaps we'll get this tomorrow). It is quite possible that the confidence (or lack thereof) of each of the bidders, has no relationship at all to their actual likelihood of winning. We just can't know.

Certainly, a deal still looks to be some way off, but Qatar have obviously been given some encouragement since their 5th bid went in.

Since I am ITK I can with certainty say that Imeos are preparing to regain their confidence!

True that. We were one of the best teams in the whole world and they had plenty of opportunity to make it better.

Honestly can you blame people in supporting Qatar ? We are way behind other teams and it's almost at a tipping point. We need investment not just in the first team. Across the club. People just think sugar daddy is just about buying players. Who will do the infra and academy ? Pretty much any talented kid in Manchester chooses City academy now .

What's SJR's policy in improving the infrastructure or academy ?

Also, a reminder that, Qatar winning doesn't mean we (meaning the fans) have our football club back. It means someone else has it.
I think United has always been a club whose fans have always had a tempestuous relationship with the owners.

If Qatar take over I don’t think, baring extreme minorities at two ends of the spectrum, there’ll be any extreme reaction at OT. Certainly not like we’ve seen at City.

For the new owners to one day receive a round of applause will take more than winning a league or two because those things are expected and will rightly be credited to the manager. What it will take is for the owners to prove competent over 5-10 years, deliver on their promises, prove successful across managers. Then maybe the fans will celebrate the owners.

It's over.

Someone out there with connections in the business media is probably having a bit of fun dropping a few "leaks" now and again. Wait til the price drops and buy up some shares, then leak something about Qatar to drive the price up and sell. Rinse repeat.

A very large number of fans will be celebrating the owners the day their reign is announced.
